How happy are you with the makeup you own?

Hard to say, since obviously a good deal is kept that has nothing to do with my personal preferences! That being said, I want for nothing, and I have so many fantastic products at arm’s length with the majority of it well-organized, so I’d say pretty happy! The only way to be happier would be if I was reducing everything down to a personal stash.

Pretty satisfied! I use everything I own pretty regularly, and I always do in-depth research before I buy my products (you are an enormous help for me, by the way <3). I had the Too Faced Sweet Peach and Chocolate Bar palettes though, both of which I couldn't use evenly, so I rearranged my favourites into one of them, and tossed the other one out. I love to organize my collection, or just play around with my stuff. 🙂

I’m very content with what I have. There is still pruning I need to do with my stash, but otherwise, I feel really great about my core products. I’m working harder at rotating my stash in terms of eye shadows and highlighters.

One area requires improvement. Lipsticks. I rarely wear lipstick and usually go for a tinted balm. Sometimes I’ll go for a sheerer finish lipstick, but my days of matte and satin full coverage seems to be over. Sadly, I have dozens of lipsticks I am simply not using. Cannot bring myself to rid my stash of them… I still occasionally buy MLBB or nude lipsticks and I need to FULL STOP ?.

I absolutely adore the makeup I own. I really got into makeup just a few years ago, and I bought a bit of stuff before I really understand what looks good on me and what matters to me. I have since trimmed down that stuff and gradually added other stuff, and now, my makeup collection feels curated (even though it is probably larger than it used to be!), and it brings me absolute joy. I had to figure out that the right makeup for me has an emotional connection, and my makeup now reflects not just what looks good on me but my interests as well. For example, the Colourpop Zodiac collection (Kathleen Lights collab) has a strong emotional connection for me because I’m a bit of an amateur astrologist (very amateur, but I love it!) My makeup is my second favorite part of my morning, right after coffee!

I wish I had about half as much stuff as I do. I have five palettes and I could do with two or three. I have seven blushes and could do with four. I have like 20 lipsticks and would prefer to have about ten. Etc., etc.

I just want a smaller collection where everything gets used regularly! I have been on a low buy for several years now so very little is entering my collection but makeup takes SO LONG to use up and I don’t want to actually get rid of anything – I do like the stuff I have, I just have too much!

Overall, I am pretty happy with my collection. I don’t think I would keep it, organize it or use it if I weren’t. There are some products that I just need to get the backbone to throw away as they either aren’t quality performers or they don’t suit me but for the most part I have whittled it down to what I like and will use. I try and do a lipstick de-clutter a couple of times a year since that is the area where I build up the most product and I am slowly but surely getting rid of all my drugstore lipsticks except those I actually wear, which isn’t a large amount. I will be keeping all of my L’Oreal Shines but beside Cherries in the Snow and a couple of random berry shades, I just don’t wear the DS lippies.

I’m quite satisfied with my little curated make-up collection; I feel I have everything I need without feeling overwhelmed or ending up not using some products. Off course, there are some products I will not repurchase once I finish them (or they expire). I’m not generally tying my happiness to make-up, that it’s a part of my life I feel good with right now.

After a few purges this year, I have to say that I’m finally 98% happy with my stash. That 2% will be satisfied once I find the new perfect foundation!

Pretty happy. My only real regret about my collection is that I now own so many nice things and have only so much time with one face to enjoy it all.

I am very happy. Over the years, I’ve purchased a few clunkers or products that, while beautiful or good quality, just aren’t realistic for me. And of course, there are some products I missed out on over the years and still gnash my teeth about. But I love my collection; it makes me happy. I so often look forward to just putting on my makeup – using something I haven’t used in a while or pulling out a long-loved product that has been eclipsed by new purchases. My collection makes me happy – it really does!

Very happy! If I’m not happy with something, I give it to someone who will love it, donate it, or throw it out. But I feel like I have a great selection of products and colors to choose from.

t would be nice to have more mascara options (allergies limit what I can wear), and foundation options (my skin shade and neutral undertones are hard to match, plus I have oily skin that loves to oxidize everything). But really, I have more options on both counts than ever before, so that’s nice.

That said, I do need to do a declutter, and pass on some items that are great, but I have versions that I love even more now.

I’m pretty happy with what I have at this point. except that I’ve accumulated too much. This question nudges me in the direction of dumping my many mascaras and a few eyeliners that smudge. I never choose them – they’re just clutter. I could also get rid of some rarely worn matte liquid lipsticks – not flattering or comfortable. I keep thinking I’ll just add moisture on top. But there are too many better options so they’ve become the wallflowers. I hate throwing away “perfectly good” items – it feels so wasteful. I need to manage better on the front end!

I am slightly unhappy. love everything I have but it might take me decades to use up all the eyeshadow palettes that I bought! I love everything too much to throw them away but at least I am trying my best to stop buying more of them XD

I am really happy with my makeup collection, as I did a major destash yesterday. Everything I have now is well and truly loved and used. I do wish I had 4 eyes though…
Generally I use one foundation, blush, eye brow pencil and set of coloured mascaras at a time (black, navy blue and green). I have lots of lipsticks that I use and same for eyeshadow palettes. I try to rotate them as much as possible.

Happier now than I was a week ago! I did some organizing this weekend, discarding the heavier-coverage foundation that had been my go-to (IT CC Cream and Bye Bye Foundation) because I’ve transitioned to very light coverage (ColourPops new tinted moisturizer). My skin has reached a point where more coverage than that is overkill, and I’M THRILLED!!! This gave me motivation to do further arrangement of my stash and my office area, and now I feel like I understand what I have better, and am curious and excited to dip back into items I had forgotten about.

After 10 months of a rolling project pan, a major declutter and a low-buy, I am finally really happy with my collection. I know exactly what I have, I know exactly what I need (or don’t!) and I put new releases (like Naked Honey) on a wishlist to catch on a sale but I don’t feel worried about it. What a happy place 🙂

I still have some things I’d like to get, but overall I’m happy. The main problem I have is that I can’t seem to find a green mascara without it being so porous and sticky that I can barely remove it-instead I have to wet my lashes and rub green eyeshadow on top. (UD Double Team Deep End was so sticky that I couldn’t remove it without losing at least one lash, and my current green, Hard Candy Stroke of Gorgeous Staycation, isn’t much better) Does anyone here have any recommendations?

I love my make up and appreciate what I’ve learned through time while experimenting different brands and knowing what works for me and what doesn’t.

I’m starting to feel guilty for not being able to use my beloved palettes and highlights. I own a lot and now limited myself to buying a maximum of 2 eyeshadow palettes per year (still working on resisting eyeshadow palettes!) and NO MORE highlighters / glows.

It took me time to learn how to stop buying the new exciting items and look at my stash to find if I own something similar. Now I look at the palettes and count how many colors I won’t use and if I own a dupe already, which helped alot.

I’m very happy right now, I’m looking at the upcoming sales and unless I’m buying haircare replacements I don’t need anything. My capsule collection is right where I want it. From here on out something would have to be pretty special to be added!
