How do you coordinate accessories with your makeup?

I usually coordinate my earrings with the colors I used on my eyes. If in doubt, then I’ll use more monochromatic jewelry with mostly gold metal, pearl, or pale pink. I don’t wear any other accessories!

My accessories rarely change – I wear a pair of diamond studs that belonged to my mom and I rarely take them off. I wear a simple heavy gold bracelet that my husband bought me years ago and a Pandora bracelet that my children have put together for me and I sometimes wear a pearl necklace. Pretty dull but very much my style – simple and sort of neutral, like my makeup. I can’t wear “fashion jewelry” (wish I could) because I’m allergic so matching or co-ordinating isn’t an issue for me. My other “accessory” – scarves – pretty much co-ordinate with my clothes and so, again, not a real problem since I gravitate toward cool rather than warm tones so no worries about a red lip clashing with an apricot scarf (since I don’t own anything in apricot or coral, etc.)

I don’t specifically coordinate accessories/jewelry with makeup. It all becomes of a piece — an overall approach I might take clothing/look-wise, and also since I mostly only wear warm tones in makeup and clothes, only gold jewelry work days and silver/turquoise weekends, it sort of ends up taking care of itself.

The only outlier is when I have special occasion of any sort. Like if I’m in the mood to wear a certain set of earrings, I may be sure makeup coordinates on some level.

Honestly, I don’t. My jewelry is very minimal – I wear titanium barbells through my ears because I’ve stretched my earlobes and the barbells look like studs, so I get away with them. My tragus is also just a simple titanium hoop, and my nostril piercing is a custom white opal piece that goes with everything. With such simple, silver-toned jewelry I don’t have to worry much about matching my makeup to my accessories.

Tbh I don’t wear a lot of jewelry. I only wear a simple necklace with my daughter’s birthstone. Whatever makeup look I do goes with it. I don’t really think about coordinating my makeup with my jewelry regularly

I don’t have or wear much nice jewelry, but my general rule of thumb is cool toned looks + silver and warm toned looks + gold. I also have a love for wacky sunglasses (despite the smudges they inevitably leave in my foundation…) so if I’m wearing gothy makeup I’ll wear an edgy pair, etc.

I don’t actually, since 95% of the time I wear silver or sometimes gold earrings. My nameplate from a few decades ago is gold (top plate was supposed to be white gold because of all the tiny diamonds, but instead, the designer simply put a coat of rhodium over the yellow gold. ?), plus 2 silver rings on my left hand. Once in awhile, I will wear a beautiful pair of rose-gold and pink quartz earrings or black crystal earrings.

I don’t … at all. Nor do I coordinate them with what clothes I’m wearing. The most consideration I take will be to decide if a necklace length conflicts wit the neckline of whatever top I’m wearing.

Jewellery is so personal, even more so than clothing.
I love wearing it, but limit myself to metals (98%) I’d guess.
I’ve been in a silver phase for at least 5 years now, but rose gold, and ergo gold, creep in lately.
So, I don’t coordinate my jewellery with my makeup, but I often coordinate my makeup with my clothing.
Does that make sense?

I decide on one thing – clothes, makeup, accessory, nail color etc. that I want to wear, and then choose other things that are likely black or brown. After I have chosen the thing I’m excited to wear, all that matters is that none of the rest of it clashes. I wear mostly black so this is usually not a problem, but I still consider how the accessories, nail color, and makeup work as a whole.
