Hourglass Rose Gold Flash Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick Review, Photos, Swatches
Rose Gold Flash
Hourglass Rose Gold Flash Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick ($42.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a light-medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke against the skin, which applied easily over bare skin or on top of foundation. The texture was lightweight with noticeable slip but not enough to be overly creamy or veering into greasy territory, so it was a cinch to blend out on the skin, had a natural, dewy finish, but had good staying power throughout the day as it did not migrate or slide around on me. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours.

Formula Overview
$42.00/0.21 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "long-wearing" that feels "weightless" on the skin. It is supposed to have a glow that is "seamless" and creates a "flash of light" and "intense payoff." It's a cream highlighter with a smooth, thin, and very lightweight consistency that has a touch of tackiness and never fully dries down on the skin, but it did not slide around during the day like I worried it might. It could be applied directly from the tube, but I did prefer using my fingertips to pat it onto the areas I wanted, as it made it easier to build up and diffuse along the edges. When applied from the tube onto the skin, it was definitely intense and opaque in a single layer, as described. There was a softly luminous sheen from it being a cream texture, but there was also a lot of shine from the shimmer, too. I found that none of the five emphasized my skin's natural texture, and they were easy to blend on bare skin as well as over foundation (liquid). They lasted around eight to nine hours on me before starting to get a touch patchy.

Your brows look so good!
And…. another stunner of a cream highlighter! I think what makes these so special is that not only do they not lift off foundation, but even though they are metallic, they give of a more dewy lit from within type of effect. I know that I’m getting one, just have to decide between the ones I love most!
Agreed, I think that’s what makes these highlighters special, that dewy appearance.
I know this is super random, but where did you get those earrings? They are so pretty!
They’re from Kate Spade! They were from last year, though, so I don’t think you can still buy them 🙁
Hi Christine! I’m absolutely in love with your hummingbird earrings. They’re so gorgeous. I was wondering if you could tell me who makes them or where I can find them. Thank you! ??
Hi Patty,
They’re by Kate Spade, but they were from last spring, so you might not be able to easily find them 🙁
A beautiful product in a gorgeous shade.
So pretty! Reminds me of my old Nars Multiples.
OOOOHHHH, now we’re talking!
Oh my goodness! I love this!
