Hourglass Luminous Bronze Light & Radiant Bronze Light Ambient Lighting Bronzers Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Luminous Bronze Light
Hourglass Luminous Bronze Light Ambient Lighting Bronzer ($50.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a medium brown with warm, yellow undertones and golden shimmer. The color seemed more subdued and less yellow-toned compared to the one I have from the original launch in 2015. It mostly opaque pigmentation, which was easily sheered out or used with a lighter hand (or less dense brush) for more buildable coverage. It was also buildable to full coverage with two layers. The consistency was very smooth, silky, and finely-milled with just a touch of dustiness in the pan, which did not translate to the skin once blended out. It was easy to apply, diffuse and blend, and stayed on well for eight hours.
The Ambient Lighting Bronzer formula is supposed have a “sheer, airy” feel (sheer as in texture) that give a “natural, sun-kissed glow” with the “illuminating effects of Ambient Lighting Powder” with “bronze pigments” that give it “buildable color.” The formula tends to be more pigmented (usually semi-opaque), but the textures are always soft enough that a less dense brush or lighter hand is an option for picking up less product and getting less coverage. I find that the bronzer formula tends to be less powdery compared to the original Ambient Lighting Powders, which is nice. The wear is typically around eight hours on me.

Radiant Bronze Light
Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light Ambient Lighting Bronzer ($50.00 for 0.39 oz.) is a medium-dark brown with warm undertones and a soft, golden shimmer. The shimmer seemed more obvious at first, but as I blended and buffed the color onto my cheeks, the finish became more luminous and glowing without reading shimmery. The bronzer was soft, silky, and blendable on the skin and never emphasized my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight hours before fading on me.
I reviewed this particular shade when it was initially launched in 2015, but I thought I’d see if the color changed at all over time since I also received the two previously-released shades with the newly-released shades. Radiant Bronze Light was less yellow-toned and more subdued with slightly less shimmer overall afters swatching them side-by-side.

This looks like EL Saffron Sun, but with shimmer
Definitely in that vein – very golden!
Both of these have the word Light in the name but look dark to me, too dark for me to use.
It’s part of the formula – they are bronzer and shimmer, so I think that’s why you see Light in a lot of the names!
Both of those look nice on you!
Thank you, Erin!
Of the 2, I really like how Radiant looks compared to Luminous. Either I’m going color blind or I’m seeing a more red toned brown in Radiant? Because that’s exactly why I’m liking it more! ?
Radiant is definitely not as golden as Luminous!
