Hourglass Euphoric Fusion Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush

Euphoric Fusion

Hourglass Euphoric Fusion Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush ($38.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, medium pinky-plum with warmer undertones and a luminous sheen. The powder was incredibly smooth and finely-milled, though it kicked up excess powder in the pan and looked dusty when swatched, but the more I blended it out, the smoother and more luminous it looked on the skin (without looking dusty or dry). It had medium, buildable coverage (up to semi-opaque) and the shimmery finish never emphasized my skin’s natural texture. The color stayed on well for eight hours before fading on me.

The Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder is designed to have the “illuminating effects” of their Strobe Lighting Powder with “vivid cheek colors.” The formula features “buildable color” with a “natural-looking, radiant finish.” The texture of the powder is very, very silky and finely-milled, which can result in noticeable powder that gets kicked up in the pan, though they apply beautifully to the skin and never look dry or dusty actually applied (which is where it counts!). One of the things I have noticed over the years is that the depth of color can vary dramatically depending on the marbling of the powders; some have more of the “Strobe” shade and others have more of the “blush” shade.

Hourglass Iridescent Flash Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush

Iridescent Flash

Hourglass Iridescent Flash Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush ($38.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a meidum-dark pink with subtle, cool undertones and lighter pink and gold shimmer. The blush had medium, buildable pigmentation to the point where I felt like I could get nearly opaque coverage with three layers. It had a smooth, silky consistency that was somewhat dusty in the pan, though it applied beautifully to the cheeks: even, diffused application that was easy to achieve and gave a luminous glow but did not accentuate my skin’s natural texture. The color wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Euphoric Fusion is stunning!! It looks like a hard to over-do kind of blush too.

Iv never owned any of the Hourglasses powders (Im a matte powder kind of person, with my oily skin!!) but these have me VERY interested!!!! I love a good sheen/shimmer blush!

I have the NARS dupe for IF. I like EF too. I think I might be better served with Mood Exposure. I’d have to see the difference in shimmer. I’ve liked the strobe blush palette so far but occasionally I just get a random hunk of glitter. It’s usually not a huge issue to remove it but still!

These look pretty, but I’m not sure I like the big variation in batches. With marbled products, I understand there will be some variation, but it could be very disappointing if you got a batch that didn’t have enough pigment and too much strobe or vice versa. .
