Hunted

Haus Labs Hunted Eye-dentify Gel Pencil ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a blackened green with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which adhered evenly to my lash line and didn’t tug painfully. The texture was slightly drier, firmer with just a touch of glide, so it did not feel as giving or as creamy as most pencil eyeliners I’ve come across in the last few years. It lasted well for nine hours before fading/thinning visibly.

Formula Overview

$18.00/0.04 oz. - $450.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "creamy" without tugging and "color-packed" for "all-day, vibrant payoff" (specifically, "12-hour wear"). The full range has 20 shades (at least, at the time of the original release!), and I bought six to try.

All six I tried were pigmented with mostly opaque to opaque coverage in a single stroke. Two of the more shimmery shades were slightly drier in consistency with less glide compared to the more matte shades, though they were not difficult or painful to use on my lower lash line.

The texture was lightly creamy as it went on, but it was quick to set, so those who like to smudge their eyeliner may find this one sets too quickly to do that readily. They were firmer but not the point where they were prone to breaking or painfully tugging on the lash line. I didn't have any issues with the tip snapping off during swatching, and they were not uncomfortable to work with, but they did not glide on as comfortably as other formulas I've tried.

They wore between eight and nine hours before fading/thinning noticeably, so they were decently long-wearing--relative to the field of eyeliner--though they looked significantly worn away by the 12-hour mark.

Punk

Haus Labs Punk Eye-dentify Gel Pencil ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a darker black with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color coverage that adhered evenly to my lash line and didn’t tug. The texture was lightly creamy–and it was the creamiest of the shades I bought to review–and was comfortable to work with.

It wouldn’t be my top pick for someone looking for a smudgable eyeliner, but it worked well for delivering a crisp line that stayed on for eight and a half hours before fading/thinning.

Statuesque

Haus Labs Statuesque Eye-dentify Gel Pencil ($18.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a darker, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a pearl finish. It had medium to semi-opaque, somewhat buildable coverage, but it did not build up as well as it could as the texture seemed drier and was a bit firmer against my lash line as I tried to apply it. This was the least comfortable to work with from the shades I tried, though by no means to the point where it was painfully tugging on my lash line. There were signs of thinning/fading present after eight hours of wear.

I have Hunted and I really like it, it’s dark enough to replace the blacks I usually use. I have fallen in love with the brands eyeliner in Whiskey, I have been alternating between it and the two pencils, Hunted and the purply one.
I like that you decided to buy and review the pencils you, I suppose found most interesting, I now know that even if I like the ones I have, I’ll not buy Statuesque.
