Hare Polish Let Them Eat… What? Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft white jelly with a blend of various shapes/sizes of hot orange, baby pink, white & gold glitter.” It’s a warm-toned, white jelly base with yellow/gold, pinky-red, white, and orange glitters that range from hexagon to square to circle in shape.

It has semi-opaque color after two coats, and the glitter distributed evenly for the most part, though a little tapping and pulling for a couple of areas would have improved the overall results. The base color was a bit streaky on the first coat, but a second coat covered the majority of that–and I noticed that where the glitter had more than one piece, it looked shadowy and gave a slight uneven appearance, even though the underlying base color was actually rather even. It kind of felt like an optical illusion. You’ll definitely want a thicker top coat with this one, because it is bumpy without.  I usually get a week of wear with minor tip wear but no chipping with Hare’s polishes.

It honestly reminds me of when you get down to the bottom of a box of fruit loops and you try to pour out a bowl and all that comes out is colorful cereal dust that floats on your milk lol. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, that’s just what I instantly thought of when I saw it 😛

I hate multicolored glitter polish most of the time, but this I strangely like. It is really cute and it makes me think of a cupcake which is what I think they were going for, given the name 😀 .

I’m so grateful you reviewed this, Christine, otherwise it would have flown right under my beauty radar–and it’s now my favorite nail polish. I get comments everywhere I go when I’m wearing it, and have since ordered more shades from HarePolish. Thank you so much for turning me on to this amazingly quirky, awesome brand!
