None of these seem to match the makeup look the model is wearing?
She’s wearing Mystic Peacock (https://www.guerlain.com/fr/fr-fr/p/ombres-g-ombres-a-paupieres-4-couleurs-P043650.html)
Whoa! Not that I need this, but if the swatches are accurate, then this one is a GEM!
These look very similar to the Dior Backstage palette color stories, but for double the price.
OUCH!! $85 for an eyeshadow quad?? Too rich for my blood, though I like the look of 2 colours in the Imperial Mood quad but I’m sure they’re very easily duped! These look a heck of a lot like Charlotte Tilbury’s quads, to be honest,
And, as Swoozy said, none of the quads seem to be what was used to product the eyeshadow look on the model (that seems to feature a blackened teal type shade) but I’m guessing that photo was to showcase the lipstick.
Uh, just “NO”. That’s highway robbery right there considering how lousy their eyeshadow has always been compared to, say, Tom Ford or Chanel. And not one of the 3 even look remotely tempting or unique. Same goes for the lipstick shades, I’m sure I have these a few times over.
Even compared to far less expensive brands like UD (in the old days, that is) Tarte or ABH, Guerlain couldn’t hold a candle…. They might have had a few not too bad palettes – I’ve got one from years back – Les Fumes – that is superb but most were not worth the price.
Extremely expensive, so I hope they are worth it! It’s good to see Guerlain bring out something new after a long absence in the makeup world. The teal shade is indeed from the Mystic Peacock quad that Katallin above suggested. My only ‘beef’ is the black matte shades in the quads…
Mystic Peacock reminds me of the Estée Lauder x Victoria Beckham collection. I assumed it was because Violette, who used to work at Estée Lauder is the new creative director of Guerlain. I don’t remember Guerlain palettes being this expensive; it costs $95 + 13% tax (if you’re in Ontario, Canada). That’s a whopping CA $25 per shadow! Costs as much as a multi chrome shadow.
I suppose the “comfort” in that pricing is that it’s “only” $10 more here than in the US. So often, cosmetic items have considerably higher markup here in Canada than in the US. Still, for this price, these palettes would have to be total knockouts in every way and maybe even wash my car and weed my garden for me!
Shocked after all this time, Guerlain actually releasing new eyeshadow quads. There are 6 quad shades in the UK, but only at Harrods at the moment. Rather expensive for my taste and not different enough.
I like a handle travel quad as much as the next, but I find the palettes unremarkable.
Maybe the different textures and finishes are noticeable in person? The promo shots look flat and dull so…..
They have a target client and it’s not me. Too expensive and too basic. Tom Ford, yada yada… I’d go Victoria Beckham before looking here.
Royal Jungle is very nice! But not at that price for me.
