Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir (463) Gloss d'Enfer Maxi Shine Review, Photos, Swatches
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir (463) Gloss d’Enfer Maxi Shine
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir (463) Gloss d’Enfer Maxi Shine ($30.00 for 0.25 fl. oz.) is a pink-mauve with gold shimmer. MAC Comfort & Joy has more shimmer, so it appears a bit lighter and more mauve. Bobbi Brown Naked Plum is darker, more plum.
The color is very similar to my natural lip color, so when applied to my lips, it brightens, emphasizes the pink tones, and adds shimmer while not altering the overall color too much. If you look at my lip freckle, you’ll notice that it’s actually rather hidden–there’s a hint of it coming through, so I’d classify this as a semi-sheer to semi-opaque gloss. Guerlain described the pigmentation of the formula to vary from sheer to more opaque, which means it’ll depend on the shade.
The consistency is very lightweight with a gel-like texture that’s non-sticky and doesn’t slide around. La Petite Robe Noir lasted for three and a half hours, which is on the longer end for such a thin gloss, but about average for gloss (in my experience) overall. It was hydrating, though, and it’s definitely one of the more hydrating glosses I’ve tried. The gloss has a light floral scent and comes in a clear, flat tube with a doe-foot applicator.

I’ve been looking for other swatches & images of these, but I’ve had little luck, so I have to ask – Are any of these glosses shimmer-free? I’d love to try out the formula but I’m a bit of a shimmerphobe when it comes to lip products.
I don’t think any of them are 100% shimmer-free but some of them have barely any shimmer with creamier color.
Looks very pretty!
This gloss is very pretty, but I imagined it to be more sparkly on.
When I saw the tube photo of this, I got so excited thinking it might be a dupe for Cle de Peu #2 Lipgloss or Le Metier de Beaute Papaya Cream. Too bad!!
how does this compare to chanel bonbon?
Bon Bon has a sheerer base color, but they’re somewhat similar swatched.
looks like an orgasm dupe in these pics
Wow how super pretty. I mean, not worth the money for me, as there are many similar colors for less, but still. Lovely
I don’t buy any more non-cruelty-free but the packaging on its own is very tempting!
basic shade. i like the princess-y vibe to it 😀 too expensive and kinda settles in the lines a bit much considering it’s just semi-sheer and not a cream.
That looks lovely on you.
I want so, so many of these. I’m a sucker for a good shiny and shimmery gloss and these just look gorgeous.
Is this similar to Revlon Peony lipgloss?
I don’t have that, sorry!
This looks really pretty, but not worth $30 imo.
How does it compare to Cle de Peau number 2? i have that one and was wondering if i needed both? lol who am i kidding i’ll probably end up with both n e ways! Still would like your opinion though.
thank you for this amazing blog!
So Nymphette is a pinky/coral/gold kind of color, and this is more mauve/plum!
Also, it kind of looks like Revlon’s Rosegold Colorburst lipgloss to me. What do you think of that as a possible dupe?
Rosegold is redder, warmer, multi-colored in shimmer.
Hi Christine,
I just wanted to say you look so radiant in this photo and your eyebrows are totally to die for!!
I’m very envious!
What foundation and shade are you wearing?
What I love so much about your reviews is that you include a full face shot which seems to be very rare on other sites but give so much of a better overall impression of what the product looks like. So thank you so much for all your hard work.
Giorgio Armani Maestro 5.5!
I love the color of this lipgloss!
I love the gold in this gloss, it makes it. It’s very pretty on you as well and your lovely little lip freckle!
Gloss from Hell?
What a strange name for a pinky girly lip gloss.
In French, “d’enfer” also means great 😉
Christine!
Your makeup and complexion look amazing in this photo! I noticed you only have marked that you were wearing the Urban Decay Bourbon liner and this gloss…is that true? It appears that you would be wearing a sort of bronzy-hued blush and maybe a little foundation or powder…? Might I ask what it is?
I’m wearing Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation!
Love this shade! Very subtle and VERY pretty! 😀
Christine, how does this compare to MAC’s Nymphette? Sounds like the the formula is completely different, but how close is the colour/amount of shimmer? Thanks a bunch!
So Nymphette is a pinky/coral/gold kind of color, and this is more mauve/plum!
Ohhhhh I think I LOVE this… I hope this gloss range launches here in Australia soon!
