Guerlain Glittery Tiger Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Glittery Tiger
Guerlain Glittery Tiger Ombres G Quad Eyeshadow Palette ($85.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday palette that included three more shimmery shades paired with a deeper, semi-matte finish shade. I felt like two of the three shimmers were not quite as impressive as most of the recent Guerlain quads have been, though they were still good! The matte had to be built up, but it was easy to do so and easy to blend.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "intense pigments for long-lasting color" across four finishes: "intense satin," "deep matte," luminous metallic," and "radiant pearl." The majority of the shades were quite pigmented applied dry, but it seemed, by texture and look of the pan, to be a wet/dry formula to me, so I tried them damp as well. I didn't feel like using them dampened was necessary except for a few of the "radiant pearl" finish shades, which had more shimmer/sparkle.
The "deep matte" finish tended to have a firmer and more cream-like feel, so using a denser brush to pick up to apply and diffuse color was best, while the other finishes were more moderately-dense--firm but not stiff--and blended out well as they "melted" on my skin. The eyeshadows lasted around eight hours on me before showing signs of fading with a few getting closer to nine hours of wear.

[/glossover]
It’s quite a cohesive quad and I dlo like the colour story here – although I wish that the purplish plum shade was either a metallic or a soft shimmer one. Love the green shade too.
Finally a product that gets some A’s and a decent overall rating. I must not be very creative because just looking at the palette, I am struggling to see more than a couple of looks with it. Other than shade 4, I wouldn’t think the rest would be very good one and done shades. I personally would have to pull in another palette to make a well rounded look but that is just me. I would love to see what other people do with it.
I am leaving for Denver in the morning. So excited. Spent all day today cleaning out my storage shed, getting my snow tires on and oil changed. Praying for decent weather as some of the stretches through Wyoming are pretty desolate and don’t have cell service. I use to drive it in one day but now that I am older and wiser, I am actually planning on spending two nights on the road. Being a single woman and driving on 2 lane roads in the winter time with no cell service, probably isn’t the best idea so making the one day trip into two shorter days and no driving at night. I have already warned my daughter that she might not be able to get me but that I will text her when I have service or going through towns. Excited for Queen!! Might be the first time that shopping wasn’t the most important thing when I am going to the big city.
I could seriously see one doing a very editorial eye look using this sweet little quad! Something that I just don’t do nearly as often as I did even pre-pandemic. 4 years ago, I would have jumped on this one, maybe!
Nice that the quality is there but this seems like an odd assortment of colours – sort of disjointed, though individually, except for #2, I like the shades.
