I’m not sure any quite match up to that…what is it? It’s kind of like a hazy, translucent quality that Gina has – it’s too beautiful to dupe, like Melissa says, LOL?,
That’s exactly what you want from your luxury lipsticks, IMO… that ‘je ne sais quoi’ (to be pretentious about it) 😛
There’s something that Guerlain does with the pearl/shimmer + shine that gives it a luminous finish that’s harder to dupe.
There is just something almost un-dupable about the shade. The Givenchy is close but why not just spring for the real deal since they aren’t cheap either!
Maybe the luminosity?
I wish there was a real dupe! Carmin Escarpin is more blue based, less shimmer/more of a healthy lightweight opaque satin… I once thought maybe a rouge Automatic in Coque d’Or.. Oo! Speaking of Rouge Automatics, will you ever post all of those? 😀
Also Givenchy Rouge Interdit & Rouge Interdit Satin., Dior Rouge Extreme, Dior Rouge Baume, and more than one of the YSL sheer shiny Rouge Voluptes which has all that good stuff in them, and please as well, the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Shsling Lip Cream? I really want to see these all together so I can narrow down choices and have dupes ready as my cart renders its way to totally out of stock as the 20% nears… Your lips are beautiful! (Insure them) haha 😉
It is true – the luminous quality of the Rouge G is hard to reproduce in other lines. I think I only have about half of the Rouge Automatiques – I think I’ve posted all that I have!
