Pretty in Pink with Beatrix

Guerlain Beatrix Rouge G de Brilliant Lipstick ($46.00 for 0.10 oz.) is an ultra-wearable petal pink with yellow undertones and white micro-shimmer. It has a glossy finish like other Rouge G Brilliants, and the color itself is semi-opaque–there’s enough color that it’s noticeable but not opaque. If you have really pigmented lips, you may not get the same lightness I did in the photos.

The Rouge G Brilliant formula is like a lipstick and lip gloss hybrid in the way it looks and feels; it holds on and wears like a lipstick (three to five hours) but has the shininess of a lip gloss. It’s also moisturizing and doesn’t emphasize lip lines. Like the Rouge G lineup, though, these have a rosy-fruity scent to them.

RECOMMENDATION: It’s a nice shade that’s very flattering across both cool and warm skin tones.  It’s not necessarily the most unique color available, but Beatrix is one you could wear everyday.

I own this, but it’s ver sheer and in my opinion not worth all the money (I got a tester from eBay for £6, so not a huge loss, and it is pretty, but not that great). However, the new shade (#B64 Bee) is well worth it!

this wouldn’t show up on my lips at all but thats not a criticism of the product! Apparently these lippies are violet scented by the way! 😉

I agree w/Jessica, this is a pretty pink for a “no makeup” makeup look–and it looks great on you Christine! This would work for any interview type of situation, definitely.

color looks fabulous on you !! I am so envious of your light colored lips ! Mine are very pigmented and it makes for a difficult job of finding the perfect pink lippie. I crave a beautiful, soft pink just like this. Most of the time, pinks will either be way too blue ( i am kind of a fair olive )or wayyyy to bright on me. Ahhh, the search continues 🙂

My lips are not very pigmented (pale!) and they are very dry. This shade actually brings my lips up to a rosy and seemingly-natural color. More importantly, the formula doesn’t dry my lips out–I could pretty much never wear a lipstick without applying several layers of Aquaphor, but I can wear this without needing to exfoliate my lips by the end of the day. 🙂
