Givenchy Spring 2011 Collection: Naivement Couture
Givenchy Spring 2011 Collection: Naivement Couture
If the world’s first woman were to be born today in the primeval garden, she would no doubt have a different vision of paradise. Nature would be tamed, its energy restrained, creating an ambiance in which she would more likely cut down the Tree of Knowledge than water it. But springtime always manages to awaken desires and dispel gloomy ideas. The impulse to seek gratification is driven by a sixth sense, making us eager for any and all sorts of sensations. A breath of pure air to be discovered or devised. The Must-Have, Blush Gelée, is a rich elixir of youth, illuminating a self-assured candour with fresh energy. NAÏVEMENT COUTURE (“naively couture”) is an autosuggestion of happiness.

Skin bared to the sunlight, we purge our sensations and embrace our innocence in order to accept our feelings. The exhilarating purity of light, a gentle warmth, tenuous and sensual, that transports us to an apogee of emotion, to be reborn with a uniquely personal authenticity. A rebirth that makes sense of the sensorial and focuses on the essential. To let ourselves succumb to a playful nature that knows where to tickle to raise a smile, like giving ourselves over to the hands of the designer for that first couture gown, this collection suggests a beauty that is lived and experienced. Allowing the hand to wield its innate intelligence, to play with lovely colours and fresh textures, is an invitation to enjoy the precious, cunning gift of self-indulgence. A natural, soothing sensuality for a springtime filled with joy.
The e/s quad and lippies look lovely!
Oh! Such beautiful colours!! I love, in the model, how orange turns to pink, down the eyes!! Amazing! =)
Agreed! Love the cream lipgloss!
OMG so excited!! That blush is GORGEOUS, I want it!! I love the dress the model is wearing, very cute – it’d look amazing on me lol.
It’s all beautiful, but the orange lips stand out the most for me…any idea of out much the lipstick and gloss will cost in Europe? and btw when it will be launched as well
I don’t have any more details other than what’s posted! Sorry!
love that fard!!!!!!!!!
I am not a fan of the model’s makeup in the promo pic, but I *adore* that top! Gorgeous!
i like the blush:D
I’m excited about the blush gelée more than anything else !!
The model picture is surprisingly beautiful! And I don’t usually like Orange but she really manages to capture it and make it spring like I’m impressed!
Usually I don’t even look at Givenchy, but the model’s makeup looked so wonderful I had to take a peek! The blush gellies look amazing, and the colors of the lipsticks, eyeshadow, and gloss was so mesmerizing I might just be spending my money on it… and become broke! HAH!
That blush looks absolutely stunning! I have to have it!
Those colors are so beautiful! I’ve been wanting to try Givenchy. Maybe this collection will be a starting point.
ungroomed eyebrows are back? they make her look very child like!
I actually like the look. She looks young and fresh. Over plucked brows on some women just makes them look a lot older and brows that are so thin aren’t very appealing.
I’m not sure how excited to be about any of the products, but I LOVE the promotional image!
Jelly blush ! hmmm can’t wait to try that
lots of corals ! nice !
Orange! Haha, I love it.
Except for the blush gelée and the khôl pencil, everything from this collection would look absolutely dreadful on me. On top of that, I don’t even know why but the promo picture kind of freaks me out. Gorgeous dress btw.
I can’t believe how Photoshopped that picture is! It’s to the point of where her eyes look like they are almost separate to her face…On a related note, I think that Givenchy is somewhat out of my price range. >.<
The collection description makes me chuckle. It’s so over the top. XD
Oooooh, I hope orange is in every collection this spring. Love it!
Fabulous! Love the orange to pink transition. Haven’t seen anything quite like this look.
Wow. Is that lipgloss matte orange?
Wow! Loved the first photo! amazing!
Wow, I am really liking this.
The colors are really pretty, but she’s been photoshopped so much that she looks like CGI…and that blurb seems kind of silly to me.
the lipstick and gloss plus blush—nice
I am in love with the makeup for the promo image! The look on the model is so pretty and perfect for spring.
gorgeous!
Absolutely stunning for photography–ethereal, dreamy, other-wordly–obviously not for everyday. But it sure would be fun to play with the individual pieces.
i looooove her lipstick
The promo image is beautiful!!!WOW
i want the orange lipstick and the nail polish. They are both super pretty
Great artwork, but somehow scarry.
This orange look is absolutely gorgeous!! I wonder if Christine can emulate this in tutorial?
The Blush Gelée looks wonderful!
O_O the model scares me! I can’t wait for Givenchy products! Those are wonderful cosmetics!
I may have to own that blush.
OOOOOO!! This may be my first purchase from Givenchy…..
I love the bright beautiful colors for the season!
So juicy colours that make you want to buy the whole Collection indeed!!!! Well the orangy gloss is a must as well as the lipstick in the same shade. Regarding the blush gel, I tried it and was really dissapointed. The colour is not intense at all. You can try instead the blush gel from Smashbox or the brand new one from THE BODY SHOP Spring Collection which is amazing!!!!
