Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl Color Enhancing Lipstick

Enhance your lip look with Givenchy’s Rouge Interdit Vinyl Color Enhancing Lipstick. This unique formula is infused with black rose oil, a rare and precious active ingredient that delivers extreme moisture and comfort to the lips for hours. It is combined with a silicone resin that forms a shiny, thin, and supple film on the lips’ surface for a second-skin feel. Lips are left with a “vinyl” radiance and a filling effect: lips instantly appear fuller, smoother, and denser. Each high-shine color blurs away all the lips’ tiniest imperfections and reflects the light, and its slick case features a metallic, satin ribbon design that’s inspired by the House’s fashion designs.

Hi Christine!

I think you made a typo on the name of lipstick n°4: you wrote Rose Tenateur, but I think it should be Rose Tentateur, as all these names are french , and this one doesn’t make sense.

Love, from the french speaking part of Switzerland,

Lara

Hey Lara,

That’s how it is written on Sephora’s website, actually 🙁 That is where I got the info (Givenchy doesn’t send me press releases, so I get info from retailers if/when things launch). I will see if I can find these listed on another website and if it is different.

will you be reviewing/swatching any of these?! I am very curious how they perform and what some of the shades look like as Sephora’s site often has skewed pictures of the shades.

Interesting, black rose oil, sounds exotic. No real purples, hope they add some. Hmm, wonder what that loop at the end is for? Is it to pull it out from the cap or hang from your neck (like that Louboutin lipstick)?

While I hope these will be lovely, something about their marketing description is not working for me. Calling a lipstick a “film” just doesn’t seem like something I would want to put on mouth!

I’m glad they got rid of the leather binding. These are beautiful. I like the first ones that came out and most of Ginenchy’s rouge interdit line. A few are in my cart now! ?

If I’m not mistaken, No. 16 Noir Revelateur is actually a PH shade like their black color changing lipstick from the Rouge Interdit line. I know Sephora has it listed as a toffee shade but from everything I’ve seen about these (I’ve been following them for months, I love Givenchy) it’s a shade that changes from sheer black to mauve to plum.

Hi Andrew,

I work for Givenchy in the UK and you are absolutely right the lipstick is designed to go over any lipstick to darken them or over the natural lip colour. The lipstick will adjust to the wearers own PH balance so will look different on everyone!

I’m obsessed with these guys already, the texture is very glossy and comfortable. I’ve got all the girls in the department store wearing these!

I’ve got it and it’s a Ph changing shade. I love it! It’s become my go to lipstick. Oh and without the loop it’d new hard 5713 remove the lipstick from its case.

I haven’t owned any of Givenchy’s lipstick and do feel like I need one just to fulfill my curiosity. This seems like a good add-on to my current collection which is full of very pigmented fuchsia, coral, brick-red and intense dark red. I can use some spring color for sure! Feel like this texture and performance will be similar to Dior’s Addict lipstick. Just a wild guess here

Anything moisturizing sounds good to me. The weather has changed, Winter and below 10 degree very dry air has come. My lips hurt no matter what I do.

Came immediately to look for a review before picking up a couple as your reviews are invaluable to so many of us as we decide which new products to pick up. Hoping to see your thoughts on these soon. Definitely wanting a couple specifically nude 01 and a couple of the Reds and red/pinks.
