Givenchy Palette Ors Audacieux Eye Shadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Palette Ors Audacieux
Givenchy Palette Ors Audacieux Eye Shadow Palette ($63.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday quartet that features four, shimmering shades. The formula is a wet/dry one, where wet application increases the “density and brilliance.” For the most part, I did not notice significant differences between dry and damp application, except with the third one, which had the most glitter. I could see this working best with other shades in one’s stash, like a few matte shades, perhaps a black or deep brown for more contrast, as it could use more contrast for greater versatility.

Palette Ors Audacieux #1
Palette Ors Audacieux #1 is a bright, yellow gold with warm undertones and a metallic finish and fine silver sparkle. It was intensely pigmented both wet and dry, and when I used it wet, it seemed to be a little more metallic and almost “cooler” (just barely). The consistency was soft, smooth, and blendable on the skin, but there was some fallout after eight hours of wear (but the color itself held up well otherwise).

Palette Ors Audacieux #2
Palette Ors Audacieux #2 is a medium-dark taupe brown with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It applied the same both wet or dry, as it was quite pigmented! The eyeshadow’s texture was soft, a little dusty, but it adhered well to bare skin and lasted for eight hours before creasing faintly.

Palette Ors Audacieux #3
Palette Ors Audacieux #3 is a brownish coral with warm, orange undertones and gold glitter. This had a more noticeable difference between dry and damp applications–it was sheerer and had a looser texture dry, which resulted in a lot of the glitter falling out during application and not adhering to the lid at all. When I used it with a damp brush, it was mostly opaque and more of the sparkle translated to the lid, though I still had some fallout by the end of my eight-hour test.

Palette Ors Audacieux #4
Palette Ors Audacieux #4 is a medium, orange-copper with warm undertones and a pearly sheen and fine, gold glitter. Applied dry, it had a very odd consistency–dry, loose, gritty–and some areas were redder and others were more orange. When I applied it damp, the texture was smoother, and the eyeshadow applied more evenly with a stronger gold tone. It was the hardest shade to work with in the quad, and it was one that seemed to look a bit different each time I used it. The color lasted for eight hours but had some noticeable fallout.

The shimmery finish looks great here, esp. for #3. It’s too bad they didn’t throw in a dark brown in matte or satin, but the shades would be great if paired with another palette
A dark brown would have been great in a satin finish!
Ooooohhh #3 is really really pretty! *_*
It is!
These are some pretty shades! Wish #3 and #4 were more like the first 2.
Strange about #4 especially the way it looked dry from what you described.
Same here – if #3 and #4 were as good as the first two, it would be great!
Packaging looks pretty!
It does!
As much as I am sitting here fawning over the shades in this quad, I honestly believe that I may have dupes. Oddly, within my BH foil Eyes palette! Except for possibly that khaki-taupe shade. That one looks quite different!
But I have to say, I do love this color combination they put together.
Thank goodness for your dupes, Nancy! Money saved!
Not my colors — and I agree this has limits as a stand-alone palette — but the gold #1 shade really is a very gorgeous, rich gold!
It is a very intense gold!
To me (and also for me), this is just an odd assortment of colours. I guess it looks sort of “spring-like” but it’s not for me. I do like #2 though (how surprising….I like a TAUPE eyeshadow!)
Haha, you like #2? No way 😉
This is a weird little quad. For a start, the gold shade is way too gold – no subtly about it. And the last two shades are really quite similar in colour, although they are not meant to be. The only shade I like was the brown one, of which there are many, many dupes. A beautiful eye look Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
It looks an attractive palette, shame it’s not a brilliant performance by Givenchy although it does look nice on the eye.
Wish it was a bit more pigmented!
Those colors look so beautiful with your skin tone and eye color. I don’t buy from this brand but if I did, I would be getting that right away!
Thank you, Pearl!
What an interesting quad! I think what makes it very unique among holiday collections, the shade selection, is also its downfall, as most people will find that it lacks a few basic shades to be used on its own. I think it could be great for a metallic, gold centered party look though!
The gold is interesting, because it is definitely gold but not as orangey as some.
Lovely shades, definitely a combination I dig! But it’s also a combination I already have, multiple times even maybe, so I’m not tempted to get this.
Glad you have good dupes!
I don’t usually wear eyeshadows that are quite this glittery, but I must admit that these colors are pretty. It’s a shame about the performance of the fourth color, though. Fall out is one thing, but being so inconsistent in each application is a bit odd.
I wish the last shade was easier to use!
Not available here, but I cóuld probably order it. I’m saving my money this time, but I must admit to really liking this little quad.
I can probably dupe most of it though.
I bet you can dupe it 😀
I love the colors in this eye palette.
Yayy!
The look you created with this palette is really beautiful.
Thank you, Deb!
Pretty but color wise not for me!
