Giorgio Armani Champagne (2) Fluid Sheer Review & Swatches
Champagne (2)
Giorgio Armani Champagne (2) Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer Highlighter ($44.00 for 0.61 oz.) is a very light, champagne gold with warmer undertones and a sparkling sheen. It had larger shimmer particles compared to other shades in the formula, though not so large as to be actual glitter.
The texture was very thin, fluid, and almost watery, so it was something that readily sheered out. It was intended to be sheer, which was accurate, but it was definitely such a sheer product that I didn’t feel like the warmth of the color really translated in practice. I got more of a soft, luminous effect with more golden flecks of pearl and sparkle–as a result, some shades in the range tend to look the same once on.
It applied evenly to bare skin with fingertips or a brush, while a brush was better for getting an even application and minimizing lifting when applied over a base product. The product mixed well with foundation for all-over luminosity but the effect was definitely subtle when mixed in. This shade lasted for eight hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
$44.00/0.61 oz. - $72.13 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "ultra blendable" with "sheer coverage" and have a "natural dewy" finish. It can be applied on its own, on top of products, or mixed in with foundation.
The coverage was very sheer, and the more fluid, almost watery, consistency made what was already sheer coverage have a tendency to be even sheerer. I found that the effect of it on its own, as a standalone highlighter, on top of products or bare skin was very subtle to the point where it looked more like faint particles of shimmer but little color and subtle luminosity.
Applied over bare skin, fingertips or brushes worked well, but I preferred a duo-fiber, more feathery brush for applying it over foundation as it seemed more prone to leaving behind fingertips when I tried patting it over foundation. It mixed well with different foundations, and it also was something that mixed well with moisturizers or more fluid primers.
It dries down for the most part, so it wasn't prone to sliding around while worn nor did it feel tacky on. They wore around eight hours on average before fading.

I was so sure that I was going to want this shade, then I saw UD Sin as a dupe, which I already have. So, no dice.
Christine, I don’t suppose you know (I did research a little myself), if these in addition to or replacing the existing fluid sheers? The existing No. 7 is one of my favorite splurge items and I love how it looks mixing it into my foundation. These new ones look similar but maybe just not 100% the same level. I get these are smaller and maybe a more accessible price point for many, but I’ll be sad if this means the retirement of the existing ones.
I really have no idea – I don’t have any relationship with Giorgio Armani to ask questions behind-the-scenes, unfortunately! My guess is they are moving to the smaller packaging (like they did with the Eye Tints).
I really like these types of highlighter/luminizers, I find they really give my base a boost. Now, if I just had somewhere to go to wear makeup.
