Giorgio Armani Spring-Summer '17 Eye Tint Review, Photos, Swatches
Spring-Summer '17
Giorgio Armani Spring-Summer ’17 Eye Tint ($42.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is a bright, medium-dark blue with cool undertones and fine, lighter and darker blue pearl. It had medium coverage, which was buildable to semi-opaque pigmentation with two layers but a third layer did not go as well, as it seemed to cause the whole thing to appear uneven, thicker, and made it the product more prone to flaking off.
The Eye Tint formula is supposed to have “16 hour wear” in a “buildable liquid eyeshadow” format. (The “buildable” part is new to me compared to the description I have from 2015–Sephora still shows the description I remember from before.) With just one or two layers, it lasted for 14 hours before creasing slightly. The consistency was thin, watery initially, but it dried down and felt more like a powder product that was still a bit blendable along the edges.

Sam from Pixiwoo just used this in a tutorial recently and I loved it!
I’ll have to look for her tutorial!
I like the colour when it’s not blended out at all, blended out it would be a pretty wash of colour all over the lid, I think. Of course it’s called a tint, so it’s as it should be, I guess.
Any product from a brand like Armani should get an A, or even A+ to be interesting to me, they do cost quite a lot, and I think a prestige brand should be able to describe their products correctly.
If I sound negative, it’s not that I dislike Armani, I really like the products I have from the brand.
The price on these is sooo high for a single shade 🙁
The very few blue eyeshadows I ever use are either: a.) Deep and super pigmented, or b.) Aqua or teal and again, super pigmented. Therefore, I don’t like the sheerness of this one once blended out. Especially at this price.
Easy skip! 🙂
A very expensive product that looks very patchy. Beautiful shade though.
It is very rich!
when i saw the tube in the newsletter , i gasped in excitement because i thought it was a lip color .
?
it’s too sheer once blended out . i can’t justify the price for that kind of payoff .
The swatch on the right is blended out to show a sheer wash (on purpose)!
Maybe if used as an eyeliner but for that price, nope.
I know, the price is painful!
Wow, the packaging is pretty, it’s giving me Tatcha vibes. With bold blue shades, I prefer the blendability of a powder, but glad this got a good score for those interested
Yeah, I could see this type of shade being easier to reach for as a powder – plus, it would have a longer shelf life.
