A Perfect Pink for Everyday Wear

Giorgio Armani Blush (500) Lip Maestro ($32.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is a medium rosy pink with subtle warm undertones and a hint of mauve. In the tube, it looks more mauve than when swatched and applied–it definitely has a rosier hue on. MAC Shanghai Spice is warmer, less pink. MAC Flamingo is sheerer, pinker. NARS Montego Bay is a bit warmer. Cle de Peau #124 is shimmery and sheerer. Lancome Voile de Rose is similar.

Lip Maestro is a fantastic formula that’s long-wearing (Blush wore for six and a half hours), incredibly comfortable to wear (thanks to the slip and velvety feel from the silicone), and richly pigmented.  It’s completely opaque when applied, and you don’t need much product for full opacity.  It has a slightly slanted doe-foot applicator, and the lipstick is unscented. The consistency is lightweight but not particularly thin (but not at all thick), so it glides over lips without skipping.

how does it compare to woo me and super by mac? i did compare swatches visually but i was hoping you could tell me the diff too. cos woo me is too light for me and super is the perfect nude for me.

the way you’re rating them, i ma have to buy every single 1 of these, #400 is already on my list.

thanks!

Have you tried these as a blush yet? THIS one (not shocking from the name) is a very pretty blush! They’ve become my new favorite cream blushes, I can’t get enough of these! Long-wearing, great texture, they blend so easily. I just take a little on my fingers, rub it around and tap them into the skin myself 🙂

Wow! It sounds like such a great tip! And I need this beauty in my life, so I’ll definitely try it as a blush. Thanks for sharing!

Christine, you look lovely as always – thanks for the review.

Hey Christine, do you know if this will also be sold at Sephora since I noticed some Sephoras are selling Giorgio Armani cosmetics or is this only exclusively sold at Nordstrom?

This looks beautiful on you! A word of warning to the super cool toned though – this just made me look ill, it just drained my natural mauve lips and made them look ashy!

It looks stunning on you! I know you’ve reviewed a few other shades of the same formula; I’ve considered the red one as a substitute for my Chanel Dragon. Do these require a lipliner?

Mel Avatar

I own a couple (ok 4) of these and I have to say that though the more neutral ones -like this one- do not bleed nor migrate, the more pigmented/bolder ones -like the 502 or the 400 that you’re interested in – do tend to bleed, unless you avoid eating or pressing your lips together. Still, nothing a lip liner won’t take care of! 😉

love this color!! I haven’t really tried armani’s lip products, but I’m thinking it’s time to start! 😉 Thanks, Christine!!

Christine, how do you think this compares to the Rouge G De Guerlain L’Extrait? I’m trying to decide between the two. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

This is a beautiful, complimentary color on you! I’m really looking forward to trying the Lip Maestro line sometime soon. I also really like Armani’s packaging. There’s something really nice about how they click/snap shut and feel significant in hand.

Hi, such a beautiful colour, what kind of pigmented and long lasting lip glosses up to 20$ would you recommend. Sorry for my english. A.J.

Oh this is a must have! I followed your recommendation on the Gloss d’Armani and Rouge d’Armani and have been a fanatic ever since. I find the high price of these products well worth it because the performance is so spectacular that I find I have to reapply half as often as with cheaper products. Stunning colors, too.

wow this is BEAUTIFUL! would you please also review the Maestro foundation and concealor?

if you already have, could you please link me to it?

thank you so much!
