Giorgio Armani #519 Flash Lip Lacquer ($29.00 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is a pink-coral with warm undertones and a glossy finish (with no shimmer). I couldn’t think of too many shades that might compare with this one, and the closest was MAC Star Quality which is a bit lighter and not as pigmented. MAC Kiss & Don’t Tell is noticeably lighter. See comparison swatches.

It has a very juicy, watermelon-like coloring and feel to me, and it looks like summer. It had rich color and applied with full color coverage. The finish is high-shine with a glossiness that makes lips look fuller. The texture of the Flash Lip Lacquer formula is very interesting, because it feels gel-like and almost like a silicone-based primer (but slicker). It’s not too thick, but it’s not a thin gloss, though it doesn’t feel heavy (or goopy or anything like that) on. It’s very smooth and slightly velvety with a slight bit of tackiness but not enough to describe it as sticky. What’s really great is how long the shine lasts along with the color, as often pigmented glosses lose their shine as they wear on, even if the color persists. I didn’t notice any scent or flavor, and it lasted five hours on me–and was hydrating to boot!

PRETTY! Now tell me you’ve tried the Armani Lip Maestro’s on your cheeks by now! 😉 They’re still my favorite cream blushes… like ever. LOL

I’m curious to know how it compares to the Buxom Lip Polish in Kanani. The Buxom is expensive for the amount of product you get, but I’m on my second tube and love it.

Gorgeous!! Can you tell me if this item settles in your lip lines? If it doesn’t, I might pick it up on my next Sephora visit Saturday along w/ another Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder, Armani Lip Maestro & maybe another Marc Jacobs item 😉
