Haul: Bought 2 of the Sephora masks- I tried one this week that I had bought during the VIB sale and I loved it- Pearl mask – Perfecting & brightening and Rose mask – Moisturizing & brightening. I redeemed 100 points for a Deborah Lippman Nail Lacquer – Glitter Polish in 99 Luftballoons – it is so pretty! I used it last night as an accent nail.
Weekend plans: Hoping to go bowling tomorrow.

A glossy, shimmery lavender-pink on me that’s good for layering over my other lilac-nudes). Alasdhair is too close to Black Orchid and Bruised Plum in practice, so a friend who has neither is buying it from me. Stavros, Julian, and Liam still have to arrive and those are the ones I’m most excited for.

I don’t know why they did it or even how they could afford all of it (after all, because 1. I used my life’s savings on Black Friday and even then, that almost wasn’t enough! 2. I know what kind of job each of them have and unless they hid some promotions, I still don’t think they’d have enough). Even so, this might be their college graduation gift to me because last I check, Christmas was on the 25th and typically only two of the four aunts tends to buy me gifts on said holiday. I’m not complaining though! They’re known to spoil the mess out of me! 😛 Maybe this is why they didn’t want me to get anymore lipstick. LOL! I need to buy a colossal lipstick holder because my collection has skyrocketed even more after this.
Weekend Plans: Sleep! Sleep! Sleep! I’m finished with school now and the only thing I really am a little worry about is a surgical procedure I’ll have to endure this coming Tuesday. Other than that, I’m going to just relax for not only the remainder of the weekend but the remainder of the month. 🙂
What’s your favorite part about December?: Although you’d be hard-pressed to get me to admit it aloud but I love the festive and spiritual nature of December. There’s just something comforting about it.

I bet they did find my wish list. I always catch them in my room whenever I’m coming home from class and it does seem too good to be true that a great deal of my Temptalia wish list is now in my hands today. 🙂 LOL!

What’s your favorite part about December?: Baking, find gifts for others, snow, spending time with family. I usually take my vacation week off at Christmas as well to try and unwind. It also my B-Day. 😉

Christmas lights are so pretty!
I have about a biz-zillion youtube videos and blogs to catch up with! Blogging everyday has really taken a huge chunk out of my “spare time”. This weekend, I also hope to 1) actually open packages/recent hauls 2) do some tidying and re-organising around the house 3) purchase/put up holiday decor 4) bake with my niece and nephew and 5) set up my light boxes. Wish me luck!

Haul: This is my black friday and cyber monday haul… Gerard Cosmetics 1995, buttercup, and tequila sunrise lipsticks and rose hill gloss; kiehl’s hydro plumping serum and shine free lip balm (hubby’s stocking stuffer); MAC gunner lipstick (x2); Korres wild rose moisturizing and brightening cream and a tube of First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream for my purse. I also got a small bundle from Fortune cookie soap including Moose mug cuticle butter, some steam me up scotty tabs, and a bar of incredibly glittery soap. Because Christmas.
Weekend plans: taking out old and putting in new bottom cupboards for my mother in law and subsequently countertop shopping, dinner with a highschool friend, and helping another girlfriend make cheesecake for her new beau’s birthday.
Favourite part of December: It’s a tie between Christmas lights and baked goods. I’m also a major fan of peppermint everything that comes out around now.

Haul: Well…, “Santa” went a wee bit over budget (but, sooo many amazing deals, and a few HTF items!), so not too much… However, my daughter will have nearly the entire “Mi World” collection, which she has been asking for over the last year.
I stumbled upon the Revlon Gucci Westman cream shadow, and the Becca SSP trio, which were both pleasant surprises I didn’t expect to find. Since I recently changed my hair color to Auburn, I needed new brow products, and grabbed 2 Essence pencils (Blonde & Brown), WnW Mink Brown, NYX Brow Powder duo (Dark Brown), and a NYX brow pencil. Becca SSP Pressed Powder in Moonstone, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 110, Essence Lash Volumizing Powder, Eco Tools lashes, and a black lash glue. I think that’s it…
Finally, I ordered a dress & skirt from Urban Outfitters Cyber Monday, but my order hasn’t even been processed yet. My daughter found a pair of earrings on Claire’s Cyber Monday sale, and after an hour of begging/rationalizing why I *had* to buy them right then, I caved (I tried to convince her Santa might bring them…), but because I hate paying shipping, I had to throw in a few chokers for myself… So, to save $5, I spent $40, LOL! They were marked down a great deal, and I was already considering 2 of them.
Plans: Breakfast With Santa tomorrow, and resource fair for children with special needs Sunday. If I’m lucky, I may find time to toss in a load of laundry…
December: Well, the weather is generally tolerable!

Favorite part about December: Having 5 weeks off between semesters to work exclusively on my own art. I have to have final grades turned in by next Friday then I’m done until mid-January.

Haul: Guerlain Meteorites (the balls, not pressed) – at last! A Prada Infusion d’iris fragrance set, Bourjois Poudre de riz (loose illuminating/setting powder) and a bottle of LaVanila fragrance for my daughter. Best part of all this is that it was FREE – honestly! SDM had their bonus points redemption last Saturday and I got $210 worth of stuff just by redeeming points! I am a very happy makeup addict!
Weekend plans: Yoga tonight and tomorrow and an Xmas party with the people from the new law firm hubby has joined. Sunday, I want to start doing baking for the holidays.

Favourite part about December – 2 weeks off work to relax and really enjoy the season. My daughter is a teacher too so we get to spend a lot of time together when all the other worker bees have had to go back to the hive!

What kind of baking do you do for the holidays? My mother-in-law always bakes like, ten, different types of cookies and treats to gift to friends/family.
I used to do lots of different types of cookies plus fruit cake (which I love, though I know it’s the subject of jokes and loathing!) but now, I order a ton of cookies from our school’s hospitality students – it is one of their big projects. I still make Skor shortbreads (a family favourite – they are SO delicious, though not especially “pretty”; I can send you the recipe if you want!) and 2 or 3 types of squares and this year, I’m baking for a friend who is having a get together on the 27th so everyone can meet her future daughter in law. She’s scrounging to find a caterer but it’s a busy time of year and this came up “last minute-ish” so I said I’d bake desserts. The young woman’s family is in India so we’re all (there are 5 couples who’ve been friends since uni) heading to India for a wedding either at the end of 2015 or early 2016 (depending on what the astrologers predict as auspicious!) I am SO excited!
Oh, and on the desserts front, I had to add something new to the mix for my sis in law’s fella who has celiac disease and can’t have gluten. So yesterday, I made and froze a lemon semifreddo – gluten free – mainly for him, though it serves 10!
Very nice! We have a gluten-free bakery nearby (and it’s the only bakery in my town), and lots of very good treats there.

I’d love the recipe to the Skor shortbreads 🙂 I don’t do much baking (so we can avoid eating all of the baked treats… there is so little that one can bake that tastes delicious and is kind to the waistline, and I live with a cookie monster).
Haul: Milani (Sangria and Chocolate Berries) and Wet n Wild lipsticks (Cherry Bomb). I’ve recently discovered the beauty of lipstick, dark lipstick in particular, so I’ve gone a little crazy lol. Also Milani Bella Copper e/s. Jordana easyliners for lips in Terra Kiss and Plush Plum, plus an easyliner for eyes in black.
Plans: Girls night at a Painting with a Twist class tonight. Work Christmas Party tomorrow:)

Haul: LORAC Sultry Starlet palette arrived yesterday (I couldn’t snag Vixen); Elizabeth Arden eye shadow singles, a couple Ulta eye shadow singles and a purple eye glitter topcoat. I sterling silver lips midi ring.
Weekend plans: Putting up the Christmas tree. Cleaning and laundry, always. Hubby is going out of town to help his mom with a yard project on Saturday, so it’ll be just me and my sons.
What’s your favorite part about December?: Christmas lights. I love, love, love all the pretty lights. 🙂
Have you had a chance to play with the Sultry Starlet palette yet?
I’ve only gotten to swatch it so far. ( I’ve been sick, so I haven’t worn makeup in three days.) It’s much better than the Skinny palettes. Very nice pigmentation and texture. Not powdery at all. Beautiful colors. I willy wish I could have snagged Vixen, the matte one, too. Maybe they’ll reissue at some point.

What’s your favourite part about December?: I love how it’s ok to hermit at home, watch movies and drink warm beverages, because it’s too cold to go anywhere 😀 it was around -40 Celsius/ Fahrenheit today!

I tried really hard to resist all the hype, and even bought the origins mask everyone says is a dupe. After using a whole tube of the origins mask and just three samples of the Supermud, I knew I had to have the Supermud. I tried the youthmud, powermud, and thirstymud samples too, though, and can say I’m indifferent about that those. Totally recommend trying the Supermud for deep pore cleansing. I also recommend the Peter Thomas Roth Skinstant Mask Magic Set (or mini mask magic set, I bought that before this one), I love the cucumber mask for hydrating and soothing overnight, and the pumpkin mask for exfoliating.

What’s your favorite part about December?: The food that’s available. I like organic eggnog, chocolate stars covered in nonpareils, Lindt chocolates in holiday flavors, Russell Stover Santa chocolates.
I don’t know of a website offhand, unfortunately! I’ve gotten a few years out from school, and I can’t remember any of the resources I used 🙁
Haul: ELF blushes in Candid Coral and Twinkled Pink, Burt Bees soothing lipbalm, ELF bronzing brush and I had to repurchase WNW Mellow Wine because I dropped it and it broke.

Favorite part about December: I love baking before Christmas because nothing says Holidays more than a home baked cake or cookies.. this year I promised myself I’ll learn how to make choux pastry, so I can make a choux creme ring for Christmas Day. The semester’s ending next week so as soon as that is over I’ll be like.. Ready, Set, Bake!

Haul: Electric palette, Forever 21 goodies, and the Too Faced “Primed For Sex” 10 dollar deal thing at Sephora on Black Friday. ^^
Weekend plans: Might go to my piercer and have him take a look at my septum and fit me for some jewelry. 🙂

Haul: This was actually a good week for beauty products. LOL Last weekend I found a couple of great CHEAP palettes at Walgreens, Profusion brand, hadn’t heard of them before but both are 5 color eyeshadow sets and they are surprisingly great. My Black Friday buys from Sephora arrived, and that was absolutely an early Christmas kind of day. I picked up the Philosophy Purity cleanser, Clean Perfume Rollerball collection, Kat von D Lipstick set with Lolita and Berlin, the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush set, and a ton of samples and freebies. I have to say, I hadn’t tried the Tarte blush before, and honestly I am never a huge fan of blush, but this stuff is AMAZING! I can’t believe I waited this long to try it, I certainly won’t be without it now. I also managed to pick up some MAC eye lashes and a MAC Pigment in Most Darling on Ebay this week, and a NYX lipstick in Snow White that I totally love. One of the best samples that I got with my Sephora order was from Soap and Glory, Smoothie Star Body Buttercream. It smells like pistachios and almonds and it is the thickest, most amazing cream. Where has this been all my life? I will definitely be ordering a large tub of this, I couldn’t quit smelling my hands for hours after I used it. I can see how someone else might not like the lingering scent, but I was in love. Great week!
Weekend plans: Working, heading to the library tomorrow hopefully, and cleaning in preparation for some holiday decorating.
What’s your favorite part about December?: I love the decorations, the lights, the memories of years past. I love snuggling up with hot cocoa or cider and watching an old movie as it snows. Also driving around neighborhoods finding great light displays. Plus wearing my favorite boots and scarves and sweaters!

Weekend plans: I have an appointment at Ulta for the Urban Decay event, wonder what I should have them do? Idk?
Favorite part of December: That the cool weather is here in AZ! By cooler, it’s like 60-75 degrees avg. daytime high, 35-45 at night! Not too bad all things considered!

The Josie Maran hand cream has helped smoothe out the rough eczema patches on the backs of my hands, so I am pretty impressed, as nothing else has worked. But I think I may also get the one by First Aid, because winter is here and so I do need something that has a more water resistant barrier.
Haul: After not buying makeup in like 4 months my sister let me get stuff from bh and coastal scents from their cyber monday sales! got 5 palettes total

Haul: NOTHING…. I can’t believe it. However, my boyfriend just got back from Malaysia with my requested Urban Decay haul (be still my beating heart!), however his parents have said they will gift it to me for Christmas…! So I have to wait a few weeks. (Not going to lie, I sneakily opened the palettes to make sure they weren’t smashed! They’re fine, WHEW.)
Weekend plans: Catch up with the boy, celebrate my birthday!
What’s your favorite part about December?: I love everything about this time of year…! The weather is warming up (Christmas in Australia LOL!), my birthday comes around, the year is winding up, I get to spend time with my family, put up shiny sparkling decorations, and… I dunno, I just love it 🙂

Favourite part of December, I think it’s the lights in the windows and in gardens, December is so dark here the lights really make a lot of difference. I also love if it snows and the snow doesn’t melt away immediately. That is also Stubbs the Schanuzer’s favourite. Snow!

Do you raid, Helene?
I’ve not raided in a quite a long time, except for raidfinder. I did in Wrath of the Lich King and also in Cataclysm, but not in Pandaria as I wasn’t in a raiding guild then.
I’ve been a bit unlucky with drops, so my item level is still too low to raid, however I have now don Molten core in a 40 man raid, and that was a lot of fun, Prior to that I had done it at level 80 in a 20 man group and since then I’ve soloed it a lot. 40 man, lag, people who didn’t know tacts and didnt listen. In olden days they’d been kicked from their guilds. Of course, this was a pug group. Still I really enjoyed it a lot.
I find I enjoy the garrison alot, didn’t think I would, but it’s actually relaxing. I hope they let us have our own houses soon, that would be fun.
I could go on and on, but I’ll not.
Have you been able to try Warlords of Draenor yet?
I have! I’m 100 🙂 The garrison is fun. It is kind of funny when you do LFG for raids and whatnot, because it is soooooo not the tight ship of guild runs!

My favorites have been the gifts I got for others! 😀 As for myself, I’m enjoying the Korean skincare, Amore Pacific Lip treatment, and having fun with all Marc Jacobs and YSL! 😀 – Anything La Mer is GOING BACK if not a sample, NOT GOOD. Unopened, thankfully. It did cause problems! Now I know! In exchange, I’ll be gifted a Foreo Luna! 😀 So, I’m most excited for that, after my joy for others’ receiving of my gifts! 😀

Actually, my absolute favorite is the Oribe Perfume! 😀 I’ve been waiting for them to make it, they did, and then I waited for them to sell it, and they did and I dplurged! But, I couldn’t be any happier with a fragrance! It is AMAZING! I got the Cote de Azur one instead of the Silver Pearl, and it does tremendous Magic on my skin for days! It changes and is just so stellar, I’m extremely impressed!!! (Impressed to a rare extent as I’m quite critical with fragrance) Ahhh.. Love! 🙂
