Haul: Nothing. I tried thrice to grab No. 7 bronzer in Caramel (20% target cartwheel offer) but exactly NONE Targets had them…or even a place for them! Bummed.

Weekend plans: Emergency trip to DE to stage for our open house viewing next weekend. Literally driving 10 hours tomorrow morning, moving around furniture for a bit, sleeping, then driving 10 hours back early Sunday morning. Please send prayers for our sanity ??

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: Just fall & Christmas. I keep houses pretty minimal between January to September.

Julia Avatar

Haul: I bought the jumbo Antica Farmacista Orange Blossom, Lilac & Jasmine soap from the Nordstrom sale, I was sure that I would love it- but I don’t ☹️. I think I’m going to send it back.

Weekend plans: Probably stress about work! I have a double meeting day on Tuesday (seemed like a good idea at the time…) and one of those meetings is my first with the person. I’m just nervous about it.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: Not a ton in spring/ summer except for changing out my table decorations. I have lots of stuff for fall for some reason, and then loads for Christmas!

Julia Avatar

I rotate my place mats for the seasons – light green for spring, blue for summer, burnt orange in fall and red for winter, with some silver leather ones I picked up at C&B for holiday meals. I change out my “centerpiece” to coordinate with those colors – bright vase, fresh cut flowers/ herbs when my garden is producing, candles, etc. My favorite around Christmastime is a rosemary tree because they smell divine!

Haul: I get my clothing haul in the mail today! I hope everything fits lol
Weekend plans: mostly cleaning and a date night on Sunday 🙂
Do you decorate by holiday or season?: I only put up Christmas decor

Haul:
Wet N Wild order:
MegaGlo™ Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow, Golden Flower Crown, Royal Calyx, Botanic Dream, & Crown of My Canopy.
Color Icon Ombré Blush in Mai Tai Buy You a Drink & In a Purple Haze.
Come Correct Celebrity Concealer in Fair.
Photo Focus™ Concealer Face & Body Shade in Light Ivory.
Photo Focus™ Pressed Powder Face & Body Shade in Warm Light.
Unicorn Highlighting Brush.
Prismatic Lipstick Limited Edition Unicorn Soul, & Immortal Tears.
Color Icon™ Rainbow Highlighter in Unicorn Glow, Bronze Over The Rainbow, & Everlasting Glow.
Wet n Wild was ship through FedEx Ground and I didn’t get dinged for customs. BUT I have gotten FedEx orders that invoiced me later for the customs through the mail. 🙁

Arda Wigs 2017 wig colour swatches and Rachel purple ombre wig I’m going to wear to IMATS in August. lol

Weekend plans: Work on upgrading my Merida from Brave dress for FanExpo this year. I originally wanted to do the design of the epilogue/Disney Parks dress but I ran out of time to add all the trim, special belt, and hem.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: Just Christmas for me and my family.

Ally Avatar

I did a search on the website and I didn’t find any reference to the Huda Beauty Solstice collection. The highlighter palette particularly.
Will you be doing a review?
Do you know if it will be in Canadian Sephoras?
Thanks! 🙂

Ps. I only have specific decor for Fall (and it’s not much – the wreath on my door and some decorative pumpkins in the house) and Christmas, I do go all out on Christmas.

Haul: ABH fall, Nordstrom anniversary sale Chanel shimmery cream perfume trio (forgot the actual name). The subculture palette looks amazing, and I’ve been meaning to try some pops of greens. And I’ve been always on the hunt on a solid/ creme perfume mostly out of curiosity lol.
Weekend: staycation with boyfriend! Video games and delivery.
Decoration: none. Honestly I don’t care about decoration at all haha.

Ziwei Avatar

I’m not wowed by it tbh. It’s a very silicone-y texture and I think it would be prone to get rubbed off easily. The perfume in it is nice though. I think it’s fine if you wouldn’t mind reapplying every 4 hours. Luckily you don’t need a lot of product to get the intensity of scent.

Rachel R. Avatar

Haul: TheBalm Balm Desert. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks (buy 2 get 1) in Drug Lord, Rich Blood, and Scorpio.

Weekend plans: Try to stay cool. We’re heading into a heat wave. Thank goodness for AC! My hubby leaves for a 5-day business trip on Sunday.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: Now that the kids are grown, we just decorate for Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.

Seraphine Avatar

LOVE the photo of Mellan!

Haul:
• ColourPop Ultra Satin Lipsticks in Femme, Mess Around, Panda, Prim, Barracuda, and Echo Park
• ColourPop Matte Lipstick in Bad Habit (this was a free gift)
• RCMA No-Color Powder
• Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid
• Origins Ginger Essence purse spray and Ginger Souffle body cream (not makeup, but just wanted to mention this incredibly light, clean scent that I bought at Macy’s while buying the blush)

Weekend plans:
• Do laundry, buy groceries, etc.
• Visit with family
• Watch Twin Peaks
• Feel impatient about the delivery from Sephora that my husband just received because I know it has to do with my birthday, but my birthday is weeks and weeks away

Do you decorate by holiday or season?
• By holiday…specifically Halloween (my husband’s favorite) and Christmas (my favorite)

Joan Avatar

Haha, those legs are definitely adding to this Mellan picture! I have been getting a ton of pup pictures because one of my friends just started fostering a puppy. It’s a day maker!
Haul: I bought ABH Subculture and liquid glow in oyster- but it only just shipped out. I think adding oyster to the order slowed it down because I know a lot of people that ordered Subculture had it shipped out within hours.
Weekend plans: My city’s Orchestra is doing a free concert really close to my house tonight (oddly in the lawn of what used to be an asylum…part of it is a hotel now). Other than that my nothing solid yet.
Do you decorate by holiday or season?: I decorate for Halloween and Christmas a ton, and only a little for valentines…so by holiday and even then not for all the holidays.

Erica Avatar

Haul: ABH Subculture comes tomorrow! ! I’ve never been so excited for a palette but I also have never been in love with a palette as I have been with the Modern Renaissance. ABH actually knows how to put together a palette that excites It’s wearable but it pushes you out of your comfort zone but not too far out. Her formula is so creamy and blendable. Also colors work together without being muddy. There is actual diversity unlike ahem UD which has so much repetition and you can create like one or two looks ahem, ahem

Weekend Plans: my daughter comes home finally but otherwise chilling and playing with my Subculture palette. Watch an ER marathon as I clean:)

Do I like to decorate for the holidays : I like to a little. I like putting out winter theme candles and decorate a tree. But nothing too extensive. Who’s got time for that? I don’t lol Otherwise in the other seasons I just maybe put a fall theme towel in the bathroom or change the hand soap. Nothing major

Erica Avatar

They should after the difficulty of getting it with the site crashing lol Crazy experience but I would have only put up with it bc it’s ABH. Much better than my MAC Nutcracker Sweet experience and Saks

Aw Mellan! Always makes my Fridays!

Haul:
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Subculture Palette – Received yesterday and swatched – wearing today.

DedCool: 05 “Spring Fragrance and Hand Cream

DUA Fragrances (15% off): Tropicalia

House of Matriarch (25% off): Toukka Ta Tao – Unisex Tropical Fine Fragrance – Limited Edition, 2ml

My Pretty Zombie: Drugs Like Me Blush (THC), MPZ Best Seller Set (Includes – Blush in MDMA and Eyeshadows in Everything Looks Better on a Meat Hook, Anthrax, and Trepanation), You Pick 3 Eyeshadow Set (Grimdeva, Mad Cow, Infirmity) – 3 week TAT so will be a bit before I get this order

Nordstrom: Gehwol Soft Feet Treatment Kit. I use and love the foot cream so getting that as full size plus the file, salve, and 2 other samples for $7.50 more than regular price for the cream was a good deal for me.

Sephora ($20 off): Sephora Collection Golden Hour Highlighting Powder (Twilight), Benefit Dandelion Dew Baby-Pink Liquid Blush, Axiology Natural Lip Crayon (Enchant), Koh Gen Doh Pure Cotton (2), Marvis Toothbrush

Ulta ($3.50 off): Note Cosmetics (Professional Eyeshadow #2, Eyeshadow Pencil in 04 Emerald – BOGO ½), Essence Metal Shock Lipstick (Guns ‘N Rose 02, Ace of Hearts 03, Purple Pistol 05), Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (GWP)

Weekend plans: 3 day weekend for me. Today is a combo of medical things for me and my daughter but also a pedi at a new spa. Tomorrow I may go exchange one of the pairs of jeans I bought last weekend as I feel I need a smaller size. Otherwise, unknown.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: I used to decorate for every holiday.

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

Note is fantastic! I started out with a few random things when they first came to Ulta and was blown away. The lipsticks I’ve bought (and now I pretty much have almost every shade) are opaque, creamy, and hydrating. The wear is respectable. The eyeshadow palettes are also superb with the purple-ish quad I bought probably being the least good but still heads and shoulders above the similar toned Viseart I had bought. There is a tad bit of dustiness on some shades, probably the most noticeable in the lilac matte shade in the pink/purple larger palette) but it doesn’t affect pigmentation or cause fallout during wear which on me has been all day despite heat and high humidity. The eye crayons are wickedly pigmented and gorgeous. Plus, if you catch it on the deal with ulta (the Bogo 1/2) they’re all pretty inexpensive.

Tammy Avatar

Haul: A few weeks ago I picked up the Huda Rose Gold Palette (when Sephora offered $15 off purchase). The Huda palette was not on my radar and I had no intentions on purchasing it until I came across make up artist Asya Shah (you can follow her on instagram). I was fascinated by her videos and saw that she was using the Huda palette in many of her makeovers. When the $15 off coupon came, I thought, ‘Why not?’ I know that there have been many negative reviews but there have been many good reviews as well. I trust myself enough to work with a product and make up my own mind about it.

This palette has been a pleasant surprise for me. I use it almost daily, sometimes by itself but most of the time with other palettes and single eye shadows. To me this palette is brighter than the Modern Renaissance, which I tend to use only in the fall or winter due to it’s autumnal vibe. There is not a poor performing eye shadow in my palette. I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from, other than possibly there is a quality control issue. The creamy, sparkling shadows aren’t the best quality, but they’re certainly usable and create a pretty effect. I absolutely love all the matte shades and mix them daily to use for transition and crease work. Shy is probably my favorite of all the shades, but I would not want to give any of them up.

Weekend plans: We’re putting down flooring in the middle level of our home. Tonight husband and I are going out to dinner with friends and then down to riverfront to see KC and the Sunshine Band.

Decorating for seasons or holidays? Not at all. I have just finished raising four children and I’d prefer to skip all holidays for a decade or so, lol.

Erica Avatar

I think the Rose Gold glitter shade is what most people complain about. You can build it up but it does so in a chunky way. Otherwise all the colors perform nicely. It’s nice but chunky shadow aside, it seems to be missing something. It isn’t as diverse or easy to use as the Modern Renaissance palette. Of course you can bring in another palette but with so many shades, it should stand on its own

Tammy Avatar

Erica, That explains it better. I don’t expect any palette to be stand alone. I had five eyeshadow palettes out when I was putting on my make up yesterday, lol.

Tammy Avatar

Well, then, I’m in good company, just the wrong country?

Now that my teeth aren’t hurting I am doing things I NEVER do. I am thinking about going out again to see a local band I used to love seeing a decade ago!

Alice Avatar

Haul: Illamasqua Moth lipstick and Wolf eyeshadow (to use as a brow filler) from the sale. I also bought new kitchen towels, bed sheets, and a cavatelli attachment for my pasta maker.

Weekend plans: We bought modular storage units for the master bedroom closet so we’re going to put the closet together this weekend. Also get my bookshelves anchored to the wall and my books organized, get the guest bedroom all set up and organized, and maybe pick up a new computer desk and organize my art studio area.

Do you decorate by holiday or season: Nope! My decor stays the same all year.

Lindsay_MK Avatar

Hi Christine – Crate and Barrel and Sur la Table both have good kitchen towels. Trader Joe’s also has some really nice ones that are very inexpensive, great value – although they are on the small side (and sadly not Star Trek themed!).

kjh Avatar

Does anyone know how to block those ‘congratulations, your iPad won’ messages that pop up and prevent access to writing replies? Right now not willing to reconstruct it. Thanks to the reader who mentioned the EL waterbased foundation. No provoking ingredients, like mufe, so, ordered. Thanks. Love to hammy Mellan.

Christine Avatar

Hey KJH,

I’ve heard of this happening but we stopped getting complaints a few weeks ago – it is a rogue ad that isn’t supposed to show (networks do not want them either) but is very hard for me to personally track down without as much specific info (IP, time, screenshots, URLs, page you were on when you got it) so I can pass that info back to the networks. They usually get found/blocked shortly after they make it in, but sometimes it gets worse before it gets better 🙁

kjh Avatar

Think I’ll call apple. Sometimes I get 3 in a row. I had already finished typing…and then …you cannot make it go away and the pop up bar keeps spinning. There has to be some block thing in the App Store. So, short version: hauled 2 derm men’s. One was 300$. Worth it to damp down the recurrent staph infection. Refused the 500$ one for inverse psoriasis of the armpit. One helluva derm, but he should try to write for stuff that’s covered. Going to use a lighter steroid that WAS covered for the seb derm of the eyelids and the inverse psoriasis that yes, spread to my face. Great. So wtf am I buying m/u? Got the differin and sunset palettes…bad graphite does work in the crease for me. Don’t quite know why I brought in 3 other palettes..color search, I guess. Decorate: if I can deal with it, all downstairs is blue/green in summer and dark red/navy for winter. That means everything from rugs to canisters. The china at least doesn’t have to be lugged from the attic. Everything else does. Also, in the LR there’s a 4′ xmas tree that has some holiday seasons….Easter, Patriotic, Halloween, Xmas, etc. between holidays, it goes general seasonal. If I feel like it. And I haven’t been. But the sea motif summer stuff is truly fine. Better snap to it and get a better system of storage for the ornaments.

kjh Avatar

Also, it has zero to do with your site. They target my IP address. Wish there was a do not call, but, oh, yeah, THAT DOESN’T WORK, EITHER. Yes, I was yelling.

AJ Avatar

Haul: Nothing! I resisted the $20 off of $100 that Sephora sent me, because there was really only $50 worth of stuff I needed to restock on (my moisturizer, partner’s hair product) and I didn’t want to buy $50 worth of stuff I didn’t need just to get $20 off!

Weekend plans: Nothing major. As part of our cross-country move we mailed some stuff via UPS and that’s supposed to arrive today, so my guess is the weekend will mostly be getting that stuff unpacked and put away, and then a trip to a bookstore to reward ourselves.

Holiday decorating: Not really. I had a wreath I’d hang up in December but it didn’t make the cut to move up here with us.

Mariella Avatar

Haul: Phyto hair stuff: Phytolisse Serum (I tried a sample and loved it) and Phytoelixir Subtle Oil and at Lush, I picked up 2 shower jellies (love the scents – Whoosh and Refresher – but not crazy for the jelly format) and their 2 foot powders (Twinkle Toes and T is for Toes) – my older sandals need all the help they can get!
Weekend plans: no idea; my younger son comes back from NYC (2 interviews and it looks like he’ll be getting at least 1 offer) so we’ll probably go out to our favourite Indian restaurant for dinner
Holiday decorating: I don’t subscribe to the mad interior decorating stuff that seems to be the norm lately. I do decorate for the holidays and change a few things for winter vs summer (lighter coloured cushions and sofa throws, maybe a few different vases and different things in them, different coloured candles that look “seasonal”) but beyond that, I like to leave stuff alone. My feeling it this is a home, not a “show piece”

Nancy T Avatar

That’s the LIFE, Mellan! To be as chill as you is my goal. ?

Haul: So far, only a tube of UD Oil Slick Lipstick that I found at Nordstrom Rack while looking for a pair of sandals? LOL! But the day isn’t over yet. Going to Ulta later on to try to get that Nars Lip Glide 6-pack. Hope they have it in-store!

Weekend plans: RELAXING! Nails today, hair tomorrow. Meeting Sunday. Other than that; just an early a.m. trip to MAC tomorrow. ?

Do you decorate by holiday or by season: Neither. I don’t celebrate or observe the traditional holidays. And AZ doesn’t quite give me the feel of seasons. Back in NJ, I’d bring in bouquets of fresh flowers during spring, and then the more autumnal Chrysanthemums and like flowers.

Anna Avatar

Haul: I have been good for months. Then I came across Jouer cosmetics and ordered the skinny dip palette and the St Tropez lip topper. Love the eyeshadow, dont like the lip topper. The glitter hurts on lips and somehow transfers outside the mouth so it is glittery around mouth! That one wont be used. Also yesterday I was just browsing on Temptalia and saw the Hourglass europic fusion blush used in a photo and became so smitten that I had to order it. It looks like the best thing ever in photos so I have to try it. Never bought anything from Hourglass so excited about that.

Weekend plans: Sleep mainly. Still have not had summer holiday and two weeks to go until holiday.

Decoration; I decorate slightly for christmas and halloween. Otherwise not.

Tammy Avatar

Oh no! I love the Jouer lip topper. I put on lip liner, lipstick and then mix in just a touch in the center of my lower lip. It lightens the color and makes my lips appear fuller. I never feel it on my lips and it doesn’t travel outside of my lips (partly because I would never take it near the edges of my lips). Have you tried it with lipstick?

Anna Avatar

It is more comfortable with lipstick but I find it slightly tricky to apply. One time it looked like I had tanned lips. One time it was a silver streak. As I have played with it I have found that there is one time I can use it and it is with a brown lipstick. Then it looks good. Given that Europe does not have return options I will use it with brown lipstick.

fashn Avatar

1. Was able to haul in Anastasia’s Subculture palette after much wrangling on the internet to get through, can’t wait to try it out.

2. Would like to catch up on my reading, hoping to swim with my kids and just relax.

3. I minimally decorate for Fall, but wait for Christmas to go all out

Erin Avatar

Haul: 3 new Bite Liquifieds in Braised, Infused, and Marsala. I also got Farmacy’s new Honey Drop lightweight moisturizer cause it’s got a ton of really great ferments in it. I got the NARS and Buxom point rewards too.

Weekend: Things have been really stressful so we’re going to see Spiderman and out to lunch with my sister. A friend comes in from Texas for a week to stay with us too so it’s going to be a full house for a while.

Decorating: I used too but I needed to get rid of much of the extras with overseas moves. I miss it.

Katherine T. Avatar

Mellan doing yoga – I’m calling it the Twisted Dog 🙂
*Haul -Beautylish – OCC Lip Tar in Luxe (glossy dark purple -love!) , and Sugarpill Liquid Lipstick in Trinket (this cult classic has been OOS for so long, finally grabbed it. HUGE disappointment. Every online pic/video shows tons of gold shimmer, mine has none, nada! Another reader who also ordered it at same time from Beautyilsh had same problem, so there’s a big QC issue. I will be returning this for sure).
*Weekend-ferry ride to seaside town to do brunch and browse shops, on staycation for rest of the week (yay!), pool party for the kid
*Decorate – I used to decorate by holiday and season, but with a toddler running around, I don’t want my stuff wrecked or stained. So we just do some decorations for Christmas, but when she gets older, we’re hoping to put up a tree again. I miss that.

Kat Avatar

Haul: I haven’t bought anything yet but tomorrow when they launch I’m hoping to grab the Pat McGrath lipstick in either 1995 or Flesh 3. I’m also definitely picking up the UD liner in Torch and Hourglass blush in Brilliant Nude. I’m always a sucker for a lovely blush that I can use with a heavy hand as someone with very fair skin, and I don’t seem to have dupes!

Weekend plans: Bed Bath and Beyond tomorrow to return the L’Oreal lipstick in MATTE-sterpiece. Very weird formula! I’m going to swing by MAC tomorrow for National Lipstick Day too. On Sunday, grocery shopping as usual! Between that, I’m planning on doing some reading. My mom got me a copy of The Stories of Breece D’J Pancake, a collection of short stories (and yes, that was his real name). I’m fascinated because while I have family ties and history in West Virginia, I haven’t read a lot by writers from there. Pancake’s writing is heartbreakingly lovely. I’m also reading The Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino, which is a collection of short stories narrated mostly by a being called Qfwfq, who is as old as the universe and is describing its history.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: Holiday! My roommate and I put up a tiny little fake Christmas tree on our side table and around Halloween, we hang up fake cobwebs and bats! That’s about it, though.

*(I’ve noticed other people seem to be able to put in italics and bold words, so I’m giving it a shot with HTML tags. Forgive me if it doesn’t work and the tags show up!)

Lindsay_MK Avatar

Haul: I picked up NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anna while I was at Nordstrom buying some Paul Green shoes from the anniversary sale. There are a bunch of things I am currently contemplating (mostly based on Christine’s great reviews) – the Persona Identity pallete that restocked today, NYX lip suede matte metallics, and Wet-n-Wild megaglo highlighters. Would love others’ opinions! Oh yeah I got a new mountain bike but that is the least beauty-related thing ever…

Weekend plans: I work tonight. Tomorrow morning I will take my exhausted self and my 2 boys to a fundraiser at our local aviary then – I hope – get some sleep before hitting a friend’s going away party Saturday night. Sunday I will mountain bike with my husband. Busy but fun stuff!

Decorate for holidays: pretty minimally. We carve jack-o’-lanterns at Halloween and put up a tree and a handful of other things for Christmas. My husband and I both are domestic minimalists and think a lot of holiday decor feels too cluttered. Our 2 boys are getting big enough to notice and care now, though, and I suspect they will start requesting (demanding) more decorations!

Haul: I got my first beautylish order in!!! for any other canadians: it was super easy, and fast to order through them!!! 😀

I got:
The Ordinary 30% AHA and 2% BHA peeling mask
The Ordinary Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
2 of The Ordinary’s Vitamin C suspension 23%
The Ordinary’s Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (Another Vitamin C serum!!)
The Ordinary’s Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA (A SUPER moisturizing thick balmy cream!!)
The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 6% Toning Solution

I also got RCMA no Colour Powder! Which so far so good!!

I’m also planning a sephora order today, so I’ll come back and update this!!

Weekend plans: NOTHING! Hah! For once I’m doing nothing. And I can not wait!!

Anne Avatar

Haul: ABH Subculture Palette! I also found the Kiehl’s Crème de Corps Lavender Whipped Body Butter in the Lavender scent that was LE at Nordstrom Rack (I got 2 of them…) as well as finding the Origins RitualiTea Feeling Rosy Comforting Powder Face Mask there as well, both for about 50% off!

Weekend plans: No clue

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: I am currently in a crappy apartment so don’t bother to decorate. Maybe someday I’ll be in a place worth sprucing up but not at the moment.

Katie Avatar

Haul: Silver ring Mac eyeshadow. A classic I know but I’m really into grey eyeshadow at present and I don’t think I have any dupes. I shouldn’t buy anything else as there is so much we want to do to our house and all renovations, even quite small ones are so expensive!

Weekend plans – Buying grey eyeshadow so and then not a lot more. I’m back at work full time next week after a mont off recovering and it is going to be real shock to system!! Also we are in the depths of winter here in New Zealand so I’m staying by the fire, keeping warm and dry.

Do I decorate our house for holidays and seasons – We really only do it for Christmas here and even then it is slightly odd as it is summer and we decorate with all the winter/northern hemisphere ornaments of Chrismas trees and dark red ribbons, and wreaths!

Genevieve Avatar

That looks like a comfy Mellon bed!

Haul: I ordered some Elizabeth Arden Ceramide lipsticks, as they were on sale, in Iced Coffee and a Honeysuckle colour. I really like these lipsticks. Not trendy, but good solid lippies.

Weekend Plans: A much more quieter week this week as all the sickies are better. I don’t have any real plans – just a date with the ironing board, housework and some cooking.

Decorate: The only seasonal decoration I do is for Christmas.

ShariP Avatar

Haul: MUFE blush in B300, 302, and 306…I think I got the numbers correct, lol. So far I love them.
Plans: Work. Maybe depotting some single eyeshadows so they’re more user friendly. I’m hoping it will help me to remember what I have.
Decorating: I do for some holidays, but not all. I have a few things centerpieces that I’ll put on the dining table along with table linens. However, when it comes to Christmas I’m over the top. Its by far my favorite holiday and season. At home every room has a Christmas tree including two full size trees; one very traditional in the living room and a 2nd in the master bedroom which is all hand crocheted ornaments in white, crocheted by my mom, and gold ornaments…even the angel on top is crocheted. I also have lighted green garlands over all of our Windows that I made. Then at work my office has a small tree and garland over the window. I also put up a 9 foot tree in our cancer center and the main lobby tree….as I said I really love Christmas❄⭐????⭐❄

Haul: Got the Pat McGrath Labs lipstick in 211 Obsessed (the red-orange). It was out of stock and arrived back in Sephora today. I’m such a fan, I must have one of her products! I’m expecting great things of the formula.

Weekend plans: Garden.

Do you decorate by holiday or season?: I change the dining room tablecloth and other linens by season.

Tracey E. Avatar

Oh Mellan, I’ve felt like that many a day this week.

Haul: My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase was delivered: the Tom Ford eyes and lip set. I feel this set was curated especially for me. All of it suits me to a T! With the $20 off at Sephora, I purchased 2 Deceim skincare products.

Weekend Plans: Expecting a low-key weekend. Hope to enjoy the warm weather with hopefully low humidity. Need to organize my summer clothing and order a replacement phone as mine won’t hold it’s charge and became very hot this week and shut down while casting a show to the tv (it’s a Nexxus phone).

Decorate by holiday or season? A little of both. I decorate for Christmas and maybe a little for Halloween, and decorate with plants outside in the summer.
