Haul: Clinique Skinny Liner in Thin Mint. Color is great, but it doesn’t seem to be very long-lasting. Going to try it with a primer.
Weekend plans: Taking my nieces to the pool today, then lunch with my nephew tomorrow to celebrate his birthday.
Hot or cold weather?: COLD!!!

Haul: nothing. I honestly think I’m am truly reaching the point where there is nothing I need or want!
Weekend plans: going to the gym and the Winona Peach Festival tomorrow; visiting the cemetery on Sunday and meeting up with my cousin.
Hot or Cold: I choose “in between” – the weather we’ve had in S. Ontario the past few days – low 20’s (that’s Celsius, for those who can’t “get with the program”) have been absolutely perfect for me! Lots of energy to do things, not so hot and humid you don’t want to leave the house and not so cold that it takes 5 minutes or more to clear the snow and ice off the car windshield!

Haul: Kat Von D lipsticks
Weekend plans: I am a little over the summer, so put out some Fall decorations, clean my home, organize clothes to donate.
Hot or cold weather?: Hot over cold any day.

I place silk, potted mums and hydrangeas on the upstair landing. They also flank our diningroom/livingroom columns and fireplace. I also change out the dishtowels, kitchen tablecloth, salt and pepper shakers. I am thinking about adding a fall wreath to the outside door. Since the basement is casual, I may do a corner with a hay, faux pumpkins and fall foliage. I start burning my fall scents. Can you tell, fall is my favorite season? πŸ™‚

Haul: UD’s eye pencils in Scortch, Junkie and Chaos. UD’s shadows in Backfire and Riff. UD’s Revolution lipgloss in Faibait. UD’s Naked Ultra Nourishing lipgloss in Naked.

Weekend plans: get out the fall clothes and makeup, put away the spring and summer ones.

Weather: Definitely hot!

Haul: Amorepacific CC cushion compact, Fresh Sugar RosΓ© lip balm, Nails Inc. Black Diamond and Midnight Merlot nail polishes

Weekend plans: Preparing for a trip to California next week!

Hot or cold weather: Hot, definitely. Even though I’ve lived in Canada pretty much my entire life, I really hate the cold.

how have you been liking the Amore Pacific CC Cushion? I’ve been eyeing that. I purchased the Dr. Jart one recently and have been really liking that

I like it a lot so far, although I can’t say I’ve tested it extensively (I literally bought it two days ago!). It gives a really beautiful, natural finish, is hydrating for my dehydrated skin, and I like that it comes with a refill. I’m looking forward to testing it out more next week when I’m travelling, since I think it will be perfect for that!

Haul: itCosmetics fan brush, Covergirl Lip Lava gloss in Lava Lustre, Melt Nood lipsticks, YSL eye couture book (aahhhh!!!), and I’m thinking of picking up a few LA Splash Harry Potter themed liquid lipsticks.

Weekend plans: I have Saturday off, so I’m going shopping and getting my nails done. Tonight I’m grabbing dinner and a movie with my fried πŸ™‚

Hot or Cold weather? Cold, definitely. I like snuggling and eating hot foods with Netflix on.

Aww, I want to kiss his nose! He has such a sweet face
**Haul- Chanel New Moon (love!), Sephora Over the Moon Blush (pretty ), and Chanel D’Automne (still testing, but colors are gorgeous!). Very interested to see your review of the Chanel Blue collection. The shadow quad Tisse Smoky is coming in the mail tomorrow. I swatched in store, and it looked very promising, but we’ll see if it holds up on my oily lids.
**Weekend -work πŸ™ then relax
**Hot or Cold weather- prefer warm but I’ll take hot over cold. I get cold really easily.

I have Raynaud’s and my fingers turn blue and hurt whenever they get too cold! It’s a circulatory disorder. Forget about how painful it is to rummage through frozen turkeys!

No purchase this week.
Give Rowdy and Bandit a bath! Then relax and watch a movie or two.
Cold weather.

No one can resist that face. xoxo for Mellan from me and the boys. Have a great weekend Christine.

Haul: Alterna shampoo, oil mist, curl cream. Tom Ford Lips and Boys in Blake and Gustavo. I haven’t received them yet, hope they live up to the hype

Haul: I think… maybe… nothing?

Weekend plans: Finish organizing my room. Homework, homework, and more homework. We’ve only been in session a few days and I’m already buried!

Hot or cold weather: Cold, all the way!

He’s got one of the sweetest faces, I swear! I just wanna smoosh him!!!!! Did you see the lab, Bear who helped find evidence against against the subway guy?? What a cutie and so smart! If you look up Bear dog subway in google you’ll see him (in case anyone is interested). Dogs are the best (I like cats too)!

Haul: MUFE smoothing primer, MUFE ultra HD foundation stick (loving so far!), Olivia Palermo x Ciate nail polish in Napa Valley, CHANEL nail polish in fortissimo and stylo yeux in perle de lune
Weekend plans: None! Just the way I like it!
Hot or cold weather?: Cold!

I’d say medium to full. I used a duo fiber brush to apply, like they sugggest. I do have the Murad primer underneath, so I think that’s giving me a good base. I’ve been trying so many different foundations lately. I normally only wear a tinted moisturizer or BB.

I was thinking of trying the MUFE foundation stick. What shade are you using? (And/or what skin tone do you have? Your coloring in your pic looks close to mine and I can’t get to a store to swatch them.) Thanks!

Haul: 6 of the new ColorBlur cream matte pencils from Maybelline. They where on sale for $9.99CAN at Shoppers.

Weekend plans: Work and I just sign my life away to go back to school in the fall for web design and programming. It’s a 2.5 year course condensed down to 1 year.

Hot or cold weather?: cold… but I honestly prefer the in between season more. lol Definatly not Hot though.

It basically going to be like having a job. haha And I’d burn out if I had a job as well during it, so I’m staying with my family for the year and bit.

But the classes are from 8am-1pm every week day, but since I’m commuting I have to get up by 5:30am to start to get ready.

Awww Mellan

Haul: A bunch of Kiko Milano cosmetics! Went a little crazy when I went into the store on Sunday. Very reasonably priced. Their sparkle eye shadows remind of me the MAC pressed pigments but at a fraction of the price! $8! You can’t beat that price. I’m going back this weekend because I have some earned money I need to use up! Can’t let that go to waste haha. Probably going to pick up some swap goodies for my friend πŸ˜€

Weekend plans: Hot Air Balloon festival and moving my sister back into college

Hot or cold weather?: Neither lol I like the intermediate seasons better. But If I had to choose, hot weather because the days are longer

I think you would really like it.
So far I’ve tried only one of the sparkle eye shadows I purchased and really didn’t have any fall out or creasing through out the day.

Look at that face! That’s how I feel today! πŸ™‚

Haul: Soleil Tan De Chanel
Chanel New Moon cream eyeshadow
Milani Matte Lip Cremes in Beloved, Flirt, Lust, and Embrace
NARS Cyprus eyeshadow
Pixi Copper Glow eyeshadow palette

Weekend plans: Beyond the usual (volunteering at the Humane Society, Zumba class), probably there is some cleaning in my near future, as well!

Hot or cold weather?: Cold, but not really cold, more like October-in-the-Northeast cool weather.

Haul: Items from the sale section at Sephora. πŸ˜€

Plans: Clean the house for another Open House. All the other houses in our neighborhood are selling, but not ours. πŸ™

Weather: COLD! We haven’t gotten much cold weather in SoCal in a few years now. I’m just happy when it’s anything under 70 degrees.

Haul: Mask of Magnaminty, Cup o’Coffee scrub, Celestial face lotion, and Chocolate Whipstick from LUSH. New Frankenstein brush roll and makeup bag from RotNApple on etsy.

Weekend Plans: cleaning, yardwork.

Hot or cold weather? COLD.

I love it all! The brush roll is tall enough to still fold over and protect even my tallest brushes, and the brush slots are varied in size so my thin brushes don’t slide around but one also fits my UD optical blurring brush. And I had the bag custom made in a larger size because up until now I’ve needed 2-3 average makeup bags to fit everything I travel with.

Haul: OMG you guys I actually have a real haul to report. I got Fresh’s new lippie Fig, Bite Frozen Berries Plum, Fresh Seaberry Oil, Luna Oil and a travel size Caudalie Le Grand Cru. I got a few samples too! I wish I could have a weekly haul of this size to report but man we’ve been counting pennies. My husband got angry the other day and said #treatyoself to me. I had to show restraint!

Weekend: Friends on Sat night and our normal shopping on Sunday. I wish it was more but I spent our discretionary funds on a haul.

Weather: It will be rainy here but it’s been so hot I don’t care!

Haul: From Sephora: Bobbi Brown brightening finishing powder (porcelain pearl), JINSoon polish (Soubrette), Korres milk soap, NARS VIB Rouge birthday gift, Sephora luster matte lip color (pink flush), 2 Korres scrubs. From Neiman Marcus: Trish McEvoy – gel eyeliners (black and deep aubergine), glaze eyeshadows (orchid, rose quartz, and sugar plum), eye definer (deep aubergine), vitamin C cream, line refiner. From Ulta: Hask Monoi shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner, Lancome Auda(city) palette. From MAC – Vamplify (Peer Pressure). From Walgreens – 2 Dermalogica face washes. Plus bunches of samples from everyone. I think that’s it.

Weekend plans: Mani/pedi (every weekend ritual). Get ready for my birthday (Tuesday 9/1). Go with my daughter to look at houses (for her). Maybe shopping at TJMaxx to see if they have anything new in.

Hot or cold weather?: Cold! I am a Fall/Winter person. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down and the humidity to go away! Nothing at all about Summer that I like. I dislike the beach – even did as a kid.

Oh, what a great picture! He is adorable!
Haul: I received my credits for the Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel items I returned. So, I finally got two Viseart palettes. I got Bridal Satin and Neutral Matte (birds were singing as I opened those boxes! :D). Tom Ford lipsicks in Misbehaved, so Vain, Dark and Stormy and TF cheek ombre’s in Plum and Peach. KVD studded lipsticks in Magick and Chula. Chanel stylo waterproof in (88) noir intense. Some mask action: Sephora Brand’s Bubble mask( love, love this!), and Skin Inc’s Get Glowin’ Brightening mask. , a few of the Sephora brand sleeping mask and eye mask( love those too!), Sephora brand matte eyeliners in the Sly like a fox and Steel-ing hearts, Urban Decay Vice gloss.
I found an amazing lash curler for anyone with deep-set or almond eyes. Mine are more deep-set. I have been using Shu’s. But, I have always had to maneuver it a lot to get it around my lashes and always had trouble getting the ones on the end. I found the “Tweezerman Promaster Lash curler” at Sephora. Pure awesome for me.
My ColourPop liquid lippies came in and I have only tried a couple. At this point, I’m not a fan. They are to dry for my lips. I tried on Guess and my lips felt dry all day! I’m sticking with KVD!
Weekend Plans: My daughter has an early soccer game sat. I’m going to work on looking for dividers for my new makeup storage cabinet. I may possible start painting it. I also badly have had organizing my closet on the “To-do list” so I may get to it since my daughter will be busy all weekend. We cleaned out her’s a few weeks ago and donated three big bags !
Hot or cold weather? HOT!

You got the Viseart!! How exciting. Keep me posted on how you like the formula πŸ™‚

Thanks for sharing the tip about the Tweezerman curler! Will try to keep it in mind if someone with deep-set eyes asks for a rec!

Haul: Melt Nood lipstick arrived today! And even though I’m pretty fair, even with a slight tan, it’s lighter than I thought! Still beautiful though πŸ™‚
Weekend plans: Going to Stockholm with my mom! Finally I get to do some shopping with someone who’s interested, my boyfriend isn’t the best shopping partner to be honest…
Hot or cold weather?: Hot! I live in a place with up to 6 months of winter so summer always make me super happy.

Haul: Dior Rouge Dior Continental, Laura Mercier Concealer Brightening Powder, Lancome Eye Shadow Beige BrΓ»lΓ©e. Oh, and By Terry Nude Palette– finally made the leap. (Do you have it, Christine?) Not a big Lancome fan but had to do an exchange with them. This is a true cool neutral quint. Hope it adheres well. Finally can do that neutral eye– bold lip look.

Weekend: Plans PACKING– on the move next week. Also celebrate hubby’s birthday while packing. Hope to make it down to favorite pizza place.

Weather– Just right!

It’s being shipped, Christine, so I will let you know. I also got the Viseart Bridal Satin, which I love. And I am debating on the Viseart Cool Matte. The shades look more like liners as I tend to do a pale brightened eye with liner so not sure if it will work for me. But it might play well with the By Terry which is mostly neutrals is what I am thinking.

Irresistible, that face! πŸ™‚
Haul: TF Illuminating Powder Duo and clinique Melon Pop arrived, yay! πŸ™‚ I also bought the Soap & Glory Solar Powder and Bareminerals Complexion Rescue in Ireland.
Plans: Birthday party of my little nephew Noah tomorrow, touring around the Irish countryside on Sunday!
Hot weather or cold: I’m more used to the cold in Europe, but I love warm weather.

Aww, he looks sooo snuggley and sweet! Precious Mellan!

Haul: Nothing this past week, but I *almost* had a good CP one. I was stalking the ColourPop site all yesterday, but came to find out that the Throw It Back Collection has been delayed until next week.

Weekend plans: the usual, minus nails, did them yesterday after having my previous polish last 11 whole days! And nope, not gel! Yeah, I need to do a MAJOR closet cleanout myself!

Hot or Cold: NEITHER!!! I love mild weather, on the warmer side, but I can no longer deal with these 100Β° plus temps or below 40Β° NJ winters either! So I’ll take 50’s-80’s!

Yeah, I was surprised myself! Same 2 base coat/ strengtheners as usual, and 1 (possibly 2) coat WnW Megalast Sugar Coat with 2 thin coats of Orly Frosting…very pretty too!

I was so bummed the ColourPop was delayed. I just got paid and I was ready to shop. lol The ultra mattes I ordered were supposed to arrive yesterday according to tracking, but didn’t. They didn’t come today, either. I need a CP fix! πŸ˜‰

Me too! I was so looking forward to placing my order, and then WHAM! ?So weird that they delayed it, and yep, I need a good CP fix here too?

Haul: Kat von D Sinner Palette ($13 on sale at Sephora, and I have a huge weakness for purplish-gray and grayish-purple shadows); all the new e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipsticks; e.l.f. Studio Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette (impressive, especially for drugstore); e.l.f. eyelash primer (never tried before, but I like primers under colored mascaras); a nude colored e.l.f. lipliner.

Weekend plans: I’m going away to the coast for a few days for my anniversary. It will be 24 years on Monday.

Hot or cold weather?: Cold. I like sunshine, but I don’t do well in heat. I hate temperatures 85 and above. I can always add more clothes for warmth, but there’s a point where you can’t get more naked to cool off.

Haul: NARS Jane Audacious lipstick and Benefit Dallas blush (repurchasing the blush cause I love it so much!)
Weekend Plans: friend’s birthday this weekend and maybe some shopping
Hot or Cold weather? Crisp and cool weather for me please πŸ™‚

Haul: Hella Body Shop stuff. They’re Oils of Life came in stock yesterday and they’re having an event from Thursday-Sunday where if you spend a certain amount you get this huge tote bag filled with stuff that was from their Black Friday stuff last year. As I got all 3 of the Oils of Life items I definitely qualified and got a bunch of free stuff. My mom and I divvied them up as she’s visiting for a few weeks (she usually lives in the jungle-y side of Belize) so that was fun. I also had 5 empty Lush pots so I returned them and got their new “Don’t Look At Me” face mask for free. And picked up a bit of their Sea Vegetable soap because I’m almost out of my last bar.
Weekend plans: Chill out, watch movies, eat food and catch up with my mom.
Hot or cold weather?: COLD! Always!

Aw, tired doggie!

This is a long weekend in the UK – we have the last Monday in August off, rather than the first one in September. I plan to get stuff done around the house and just chill out, too.

Weather: Cold, by a long shot! I dislike it when it gets above 25 Celsius.

Haul: Pur Minerals Soul Mattes eye palette, which is all matte pinks in the more mauve/burgundy family. I really like it. The tones suit my fair neutral skin and dark red hair, and they look good with my MUFE burgundy eyeliner.
I also stumbled across a Guerlain sale with two older LE shades of gloss, Madame Batifole and Madame Flirt, so I snapped those up. I have the Rouge G in Madame Flirt and I love it, so the gloss seemed like a natural addition to the collection! I got another Rouge G in 76 Gracy as well. Really pleased with these – it isn’t often you can get HE brands at 25% off.

Oh yes, and Clinique Skinny liners. One in Lanky Lapis, which is actually a teal (the blue one is Skinny Jeans, of course), and one in Lemon Ice, which is genuinely a lemon yellow. That was more of a whim/curiosity buy, but I’ve found that using the Lemon as a thin line under my bottom lashes has a lovely brightening effect. Reminds me of the difference it makes when other people use a nude or cream liner on the waterline. I can’t tolerate anything on the waterline, but the Skinny liner is great for a super thin line just below it. It’s about the size and shape of ABH Brow Wiz pencils.

Haul: Bite Beauty Maple Matte Crème Lipstick Sugared Maple & the Sephora 250 point bonus in Bellini
Weekend plans: Brunch with friends & a run!
Hot or cold weather?: I enjoy both!

Sweet, sweet, cute Mellan!
Haul, not sure I can call it that, but a Jack Black lipbalm for my son and a nailpolish from Deborah Lippmann for me, the nailpolish is gorgeous, I think, Weird Science a chartreaus-y gold-green opaque shimmery, easy to work with polish. It’s by far the best one I have from the brand.
Weekend’s over, and I did very little. Stubbs the dog was sick, so I watched over him, really worried, but he was fine the next day.
Hot or cold weather, cold, it’s easir to layer clothes than to think it’s too hot to even wear just a superthin layer of cooling linen. Though I like it as it is today, 20 degrees Celsius, perfect for long walks with the dog. He really doesn’t like hot weather, I think he is a winterdog.
