Have fun at the festival!
Monica, IT CC has become my “fallback” face product. I just repurchased but got the super-sized tube from TSC. Did you know, though, that if you cut off the crimp once the pump stops working, there’s at least 2 months’ worth of product left inside. I use a long plastic spatula to get it (and keep cutting down the tube as I “clear it out”) and do it up with a strong binder clip. It is amazing how much is left inside that would be wasted otherwise.
Thanks so much for the tip! I did not know that, but I should have suspected, since I try to get every bit out of lotion and toothpaste. I’m glad I only have gotten rid of one before you told me this trick.
You guys,IDK if Sephora still has the Swoon tool, but it would work well for this issue. I get every last drop of everything with Swoon.
Monica, I think you’ll be really shocked by just how much is left – not just all over the sides of the tube but in the bottom, around the neck of the pump. The end of the pump needs to be covered in product for any to pump out effectively but the part of the pump that is inside the tube is about 1 inch tall so there’s about a full inch of product all around the pump, and plenty more on the sides of the tube. I cut it off as close to the crimp as I can and then work my way down the sides, cutting a bit more away every week or so. I do this with almost all the products I have that come in a tube, whether it has a pump or not. And my Clarins eye cream – which is too pricey to waste – once it stops pumping, I get hubs to pry off the top and, again, there’s a good month’s worth of eye cream left inside.
I cut open almost all of the packages when I can’t squeeze anything more out, or when the pump says there’s no more product in it. There’s usually a lot left.
I don’t think we have It Cosmetics, if we had, I would have tested after reading all the comments.
I really need to get that CC cream! I stop by it every time I’m at an Ulta but I haven’t yet grabbed it.
You need to! It’s really worth the hype!
I love it. Provides full coverage and stays put pretty well even though I have combo skin.
If you don’t want to commit they have a smaller travel size too
Oh! I didn’t know about the travel size. That may be good incentive for me to put down $15 instead of the $38 the full size. It only comes in light and medium (I’m probably fair) but BB/CC creams tend to be more forgiving of slight skin tone mismatches.
If you do try it, Anne, I hope you like it. A few people seem to find it heavy but I love it and clearly I’m not alone here in this. Monica likes it and I think Christine has also used it.
I pretty sure I’ll love it. Just have to make room for it in the budget XD
Haul: Just got the Today’s Special Value by Josie Maran on QVC!
Weekend plans: Catching a Red Sox game if the rain holds off. Cleaning the house, then relaxing.
What was the last movie you watched?: The Man With Two Faces, old movie on cable last night.
Fingers crossed the rain holds off 🙂
Haul: I really have to stop this! Chanel Tisse d’automne (so beautiful), Sephora Tranquil (and a Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in “Shadow” with some points) and MAC Posh Pedigree quad which I think is my best eyeshadow purchase in ages!
Weekend plans: taking youngest to the airport for his 4 month stay in San Francisco (again!) for his program co-op; the rest of the weekend, missing him, worrying about him (he’s couch surfing for a few days til he can move into his apartment there) and, of course, dealing with all the stuff he’s leaving here (he just got back from Uni with all his “stuff”)
Last movie: at the actual movie theatre, I think it was The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
You are going to have quite the fall with all those lovely eye looks you’ll be doing 😉
Last night, I put Tisse d’automne, Posh Pedigree and Clarins Forest quads all side by side on my bathroom counter to look at them. They’re all so “related” and yet so different. DH came by and said “aren’t those all the SAME???” and I replied, “Yeah, they’re about as much the same as all your golf clubs are!”
HAHAHA! Very nice 😉
I mention her a lot, but I have one friend who loves these lighter taupes/browns, and at a glance, they really do look very similar, but to her they are very different. Funny how things work out!
It’s like children. I have 3 and several people comment on how alike they look or how alike 2 of them look. But for 2 being boys and 2 being left-handed, I don’t see any similarities between them – they are all so individual and different looking to me. My 2nd, “J”, had brilliant red hair and ringlets as a toddler and the 3rd, “M” had straight, thick, glossy black hair from the moment he was born and yet a friend of mine, when she’d see M, always commented “He looks JUST like J”. I could never see it. Ditto my 3 eyeshadow quads. Sure, they all contain 4 shadows and they’re all sort of khaki/brown/taupe-ish but they’re SO not the same!
Perception is a funny thing. I am sure you’re not the only parent that feels that way 😉 Of kid or makeup variety….
LOL! I see you’re also a fan of olive khaki green shadows. I have Chanel D’Automnes coming on Monday, and I have to restrain myself from buying every khaki green shadow I see. It’s painful looking at that new Burberry camouflage shadow kit because it’s so damn expensive
You will LOVE it, Katherine (the Chanel quad, that is – the Burberry one doesn’t do a thing for me at all). I can’t wait to hear what you have to say when you get it. The MAC one, though – I’ve worn it very day since buying it on Thursday (I took my eye makeup off twice on Thurs. and twice on Friday so I could try different looks) and even though I’m just walking over to the library today, yep – I am wearing it again.
Haul: The Pro Hygiene Collection Makeup Brush Cleanser,Nyx High Voltage lipstick in Pink Lady, Nyx Tame&Frame Brow Pomade ( just three products! I’m so proud of myself this week! LOL)
Weekend Plan?: gym and yoga class
What was the last movie you watched?: Jurassic World
Yayy!! Good for you 😀
Haul: A travel-size UD De-Slick setting spray and an Eyeko brow pencil from the FeelUnique sale, trying to be sensible for once!
Weekend plans: Travel ato clean up a flat I’m subletting for the next two months and get some papers I need before I start a new job in September 🙂
What was the last movie you watched?: I don’t even remember. My Netflix account would but can’t check. In an actual theatre it was probably the Desolation of Smaug lol!
Love De-Slick! 🙂 I also love that they have a travel-size!

Weekend plans: Working. And in the morning trying to finish laying down the paver stones on my families new walkway to the house (to match the patio in the back).
What was the last movie you watched?: Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation
Nice!! How are you liking your new ColourPop?
I spent last week testing the first batch of shades and I’m really impressed with the quality of the formula for the price. Still drier than my Kat Von D and Sehorpae ones but I know these last on me longer then both of those either. lol Plus I got shades I know I won’t wear on a daily bases for a fraction of the price, I’m happy!
The price point is very hard to beat!
Haul: Bite Frozen Berries lipsticks in Plum and Juniper. I picked up the Opal lipstick to swipe over them. I also got Tom Ford’s cream shadow in Spice. I had no idea how pretty it would be in person!
Plans: I am having my first massage on Saturday!
Last movie I watched: I don’t remember, lol. I don’t have time for movies:(
Juniper! Yay!
Have a lovely, relaxing time on Saturday 🙂
Haul: Too Faced Vegas Nay Palette
Weekend plans: Spend time with my BFF
What was the last movie you watched?: Fantastic Four
Nice! Did you find your palette in stores?
I haven’t seen it yet, but I plan on ordering it online.
How’d you like Fantastic Four? I’m a huge fan of Michael B Jordan but I’ve heard mixed things about the movie itself.
Haul: Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel (they had a promo where you could get 5 deluxe samples)
Weekend plans: Zoo, art museum, comic con!
What was the last movie you watched?: Kingsman-it wasn’t very good
Comic Con! How fun!
Haul: Chanel UV Essentiel in SPF 30; Armani eye tints in Sunset and Sunrise; Armani nail polishes in Rouge Eclipse and Mauve Eclipse; Burberry nail polish in Stone Blue, Aqua Green and Imperial Blue
Weekend plans: Nothing concrete, which is fine by me.:-)
Last movie I saw: Pitch Perfect 2. I thought it was pretty meh…they did not recreate the charm of the first one.
How do you like Armani’s polish?
This is my first time buying because there’s an insane markup on them in Canada (they’re $32 CAD vs $20 US! for 8 ml!). I swatched them on some tape at the counter and the complex shimmer made my heart beat a little faster, so I broke down and bought both. I haven’t worn them yet but the formula seemed pretty good based on my quick swatches. Both colours seem very fall/winter to me, and I’m still in bright/neon mode, but I’m sure I’ll be wearing them in the not-too-distant future *sob* (I love summer).
Ouch! That is very painful 🙁 It really sucks with markup is crazy like that.
Haul: Waiting for my Lip Tar/RTW Technopagan to arrive… other than that, nothing. Waiting to spend $ on Holiday collections.
Weekend plans: Friends are coming over for tacos and Exploding Kittens/Mario Kart, Sunday is hopefully nothing.
What was the last movie you watched?: Gone Girl, I think? We’re catching up on season 5 of Game of Thrones. NO SPOILERS PLZ.
Don’t remind me about holiday collections, lol! 😉
I keep crossing my fingers that the palettes that come out aren’t big duds like last year!
I’m kind of hoping they are duds for the sake of my wallet XD
I’m soo excited for the holiday collections! Whisper of Guilt is on the top of my list!
So cute
Thank you!
At Ulta shampoo and conditioners, Paula’s Choice skin care.
no plans for weekend, play with the boys and watch movies.
Last movie was Ricki and the Flash.
xoxo for the gorgeous Mellan from me and the boys. Have a great weekend Christine. I am sure Mellan is going to smell heavenly after the bath!
Have fun hanging with the boys this weekend, Lily!!
Haha!My dog totally plops all over her bed too! She just falls in it..lol.

Cled de peau gold luminizer (refill),Guerlain Air kiss lipstick in Air kiss and Guerlain gloss( not full proper name) in Nahema shack, Armani eye tints 14 &15. Well..I was still typing on a kindle and hit enter by mistake! So many typos..sorry! I have trouble on my kindle.I just spill it out and correct..ugh! I have a review I submitted this week too that has mass typos too. So sorry Christine and everyome who has to read them!
Weekend Plans: well. I took my dauhhter out of school today because we had tickets to see Meghan Trainor about 2 hours south. Turned out she had to cancel and my daughter bawled her eyes out! But, the state fair is going on too near. Since we came hear,we are going to go for a bit. Idk what else. We have great weather. So,hopefully outside stuff because fall will be here and then winter in no time.
Last movie I watched was Inside Out. Good Flick!
Happy Weekend everybody!:)
So many great products in your haul, Nicole! Any new holy grails that you’ve discovered?
So sorry to hear about the concert getting canceled 🙁 Hope the state fair cheers her up a bit!
Thanks Christine. It was a fun. Can’t say I will be making a point to be going again though, lol!
Well as far as HG’s ..that’s tough. I love the Cle De Peau luminizers. That Guerlain gloss is way better than I expected. I love how moisturizing it is- like no other gloss I own. The color is gorgeous. Its perfect for a day where I need subdued and easy. But it’s different because of the little flicks of shimmer.
Mac mineralize- love it! Guerlain Air kiss..love..need more.
But, Hg means it’s the best right and I’m done looking..I’m not sure that’s ever going to happen in the world of makeup goodies, lol
Guerlain’s glosses are better in person than they look, I think. Happy to hear you’re digging the one you got 😀
So sorry on those typos again! I just was reading throuh everyone’s hauls and Omg.S o embarrassed!
I just want to tickle his feet! Is he ticklish?
**Haul- Burberry Beauty Box from Sephora for $32. I haven’t tested anything yet, but SO excited that I can try all their cult-classic products. The products are all minis, but the contouring powder is 3-in-1 (can be used as shadow, blush, or light contour) AND it’s the size of a Burberry shadow, which alone costs $ 29, so for only $3 more, you are getting mini Nude Radiance, Burberry lipstick, and kabuki brush. Since I rarely finish a product, it’s perfect. I really wish HE brands (Tom Ford, Guerlain, Armani, etc) would do more of these sample boxes, so we can try stuff without breaking the bank.
**Weekend – work 🙁 and return/exchange makeup, do swatches in store 🙂
**Last movie- Gone Girl (great movie and creepy!)
If you tickle the hair between his paws long enough, he will move his feet, lol!
Ooh! Katherine! Have you tried the Burberry sampler? I want to get it around holiday time! It all seems like products I’d love and use.
Does anyone else think of restaurant appetizers when you read “sampler”? ? clearly I love food.
Joyce, I really want to test out the Burberry goodies, but haven’t because I’ve been so busy testing other stuff that has a really short return policy. But Temptalia did review the Nude Radiance and the Earthy Blush, and both scored well. You can look up the reviews on this website or do a google search to find them. I think this sampler box is going to be gone pretty soon. Maybe you can grab the sample box, then if you like, you can buy the full sizes during holidays or Sephora sale. The minis are also good for travel or on-the-go.
Thank you for the response, Katherine!
I just noticed that the sampler is VIB Rouge exclusive, which I am not, so I suppose it’ll be a required pass for me! Lol… thank you for the response!
Joyce, that means in the beginning, only VIB Rouges can buy the box, but eventually, Sephora will allow everyone to buy them. I think that’s the only reason the box isn’t gone yet. I’m crossing my fingers you will be able to grab one
Hey Katherine, when you get to it- let me know you opinion on the Burberry Kisses lipstick. I have the full size in the blush and the highlighter. You are going to love it! I have another BB lippy in Military Red gorgeous shade! I’m dying to try the formula.:)
Oh, thanks for letting me know! I can’t wait to try, no better recommendation than both you and Christine giving the thumbs up 🙂 The color in the box was Military Red, and I don’t have any other Burberry lippies, so I can’t say, but Christine did review some of their lippies, so that might help
The only reviews I can find are for the Lip cover and Lip Velvet. I have 2 lip Velvets. 1 is in Military Red. Gorgeous shade. I think the kisses formula is a newer formula. Maybe I’m searching wrong?
Big Hero 6 is SUCH a cute movie!
I picked up Chanel Lovely Beige nailpolish (which I really like) a couple of weeks ago, but it was my only makeup purchase in months. I fully intend to go berserk on Chanel’s fall collection though. It’s so appealing to me.
What are your must-haves from Chanel’s fall collection?
Oh, boy! Alezane blush, the Tissé quad, Châtaigne (and perhaps Ecorce sanguine) nailpolish, and maybe a couple of Le stylos (do you plan on reviewing them, Christine?) or Chêne glossimer. Or a Rouge coco shine (the red one). Berserk, I told you!
No Le Stylos for me!
Mellan feet! 🙂
Haul: Ofra Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick Laguna Beach, Sunset Beach, Hollywood, and Santa Monica. Sephora Colorful Blush in Tranquil. Mine’s not powdery at all and the color perfect.
Yesterday’s Nyx haul from Ulta (the stock was actually good, for once) — High Voltage Lipstick in Wine & Dine. Photo-Loving Primer in green (not sure about it yet; will try it out today). Prismatic Shadows in Smoke & Mirrors, Jaded, Fireball, Golden Peach, Punk Heart, Mermaid, and Frostbite. The other Prismatic shades were sold out, unfortunately. Color Mascara in Perfect Pear, Blue, Mint Julep, and Forget Me Not. I really wanted Purple, but it was sold out.
Weekend plans: Dye my hair. I’m trying to decide whether to go back to auburn, or keep the bright magenta color. I was going to just do magenta for the summer, but now I’m kind of attached to it, and I’ve gotten a surprising amount of compliments from strangers.
What was the last movie you watched?: The Lego Movie. My son got it, and told me I had to see it. I really liked it.
We were just talking about how we needed to see the Lego movie the other day! Happy to hear you enjoyed it 🙂
I love seeing unusual, if I may say so, haircolours. Magenta sounds amazing! My son has forbidden me to try any unconventional hair colours.
I’m sure you look gorgeous in both magenta and auburn.
Oh, and I jump on strangers with unconventional haircolour to tell them I like their hair, if I think it looks good, of course 🙂
So glad Tranquil is working for you, Rachel!
Haul: Lancome Audacity palette, Lancome Shine Lover lipstick in 340 French Sourire, Clinique Airbrush Concesler in Neutral Fair. All for my birthday ?
Weekend plans: Lots of reading and quiet. My husband’s away for work until Monday 🙁
What was the last movie you watched?: Wow I honestly can’t remember… I want to say Inside Out?
Yayyyy for birthday goodies!
Haul: Isadora Kajal in Royal Blue
Weekend plans: Nothing really, I should go to the bank because I finally turned 18 which means I can get internet bank without my parents permission and do ONLINE SHOPPING!
What was the last movie you watched?: Wreck It Ralph for the umpteenth time!
I just realized the bank is closed on the weekend… I guess it’s my plans for next week instead haha..
Happy 18th 😀
Oh my god, I looooved Big Hero 6! So cute!
No haul this week, and my weekend plans involve more of the same: lying pathetically in my bed, marathoning the Harry Potter movies, and waiting for my throat to heal. >.< (Tonsillectomies, man. They're killer.)
It is such a cute and fun movie!
Feel better, Rae 🙂
Haul: YSL Epic Rewards Couture Eye Book (I know), Sephora mini magnetic brush set, Melt Nood Collection (LOVE) aaaand….. *drum roll* A CANON REBEL T5i for my blog!!! So excited.
Weekend plans: I work all weekend. I’m working the MAC Haute Dogs event!
Last movie watched: Mr. Peabody & Sherman!
Congrats!!!

Haul: elf Lavender Love palette, elf and Sonia Kashuk eye brushes, Lavanila mini deodorant, Givenchy Teint Couture Embellishing Concealer, Stila Perfectly Poreless Putty Perfector
Weekend plans: My in-law’s 50th anniversary party
What was the last movie you watched?: In the theatre, Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. At home, Her.
50th! That is really awesome 🙂
I love the photo of the paws. I don’t know why, but I love the pads that dogs and cats have on their paws. I think it’s the cushiony aspect. 😉
Haul: I got three Tom Ford lipsticks which I’m returning (the colors didn’t work out for me, unfortunately). Also got Burberry Nude Radiance which I’m currently testing, Burberry nude glow shadow, and Burberry lipstick in the plum color.
Weekend plans: work outdoors, not sure what else.
Last movie watched: St. Vincent
Drats! What shades are you returning, Di?
I got the Tom Ford Flash of Pink, Showgirl and Virgin Rose.
Very nice!
Paw pads are so cute! I try to play with my kitties little “jelly beans”, but only one of them doesn’t mind, the other two are ticklish, I think, and they just get annoyed, get up and lay down again a few feet away, LoL!
🙂 A fellow pad lover! My cat loves us to massage the pads on her bottom feet, but only if we do it on the flat parts and don’t do it for too long. But she’ll separate her toes when we do it so we can get full access. We do have to wait until she’s in the mood…
Haul: Serpent de Mer and Nightshade eye soots and Shadow Self lipstick from Rituel de Fille.
Weekend Plans: cleaning today, a bachelorette party in the city tomorrow.
Last movie you watched: In the theater – Ant-Man. At home – Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
Have fun at the party 🙂
Haul: nothing this week. Saving for vacation!
Weekend plans: baseball game, pool and dinner with friends.
Last movie: Ex Machina
When do you plan on taking your vacation, Lulle?
Haul: NARS Madly blush (I noticed most of my blushes are pretty bright and summery, and I thought this would be a lovely autumn blush!), MAC Studio Sculpt concealer.
Weekend plans: We’ve been at the beach with family since Tuesday, and we’re flying back home tomorrow. After that, I have to move back in to my dormitory on Sunday. A busy, happy week!
Last movie I watched: I watched Chicken Run with my little cousins (11 and 6 years old) on Wednesday! It’s a classic.
Madly should be lovely on you, Kat!
Haul: Sunday Riley Good Genes + Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip. I do not know yet if I am going to return them or not as my skin has been parched since I started using the duo. I might keep using through the weekend to see if anything changes. It is a shame because Sunday Riley Luna is my favorite product ever.
Weekend plans: Ikea to buy the rest of the office furniture!
What was the last movie you watched?: Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part II.
Keep us posted on how Sunday Riley’s Good Genes/Ceramic Slip work for you!
I think I should fill this in every week to keep track of the massive amount of make-up I buy for someone on a student’s budget…
This week: MAC D for Danger ? and Nippon lipsticks. L’Oreal Infallible Matte foundation and some stuff from Catrice and Essence. They launched their new product for fall….
Weekend plans: visit the parents, enjoy sunshine in their garden.
Last movie: I think it was Mortdecai, a few months ago. I dont watch a lot of movies!
I’ve heard a lot of good things about the L’Oreal foundation!
Haul: BeautyBlender in the red Sephora color, Japonesque best sellers kit that comes with the velvet touch finishing powder, Pro Performance lipstick in shade 02 and the Velvet Touch Blush in shade 03, I also got a Japonesque eyeshadow duo in the shade 07 cause the eyeshadows were all on sale at Ulta…I’ve never tried Japonesque but the cute packaging lured me in haha
Weekend Plans: clean the house and attend a birthday dinner on Saturday, and on Sunday hang out with my parents
What was the last movie you watched? The Longest Ride
Keep me posted on how you like Japonesque!
Haul: My sephora order is stuck in pending transaction mode at the moment. Hopefully sephora customer service will get back to me soon. The order is for the burberry nude radiance fresh glow and the burberry wet dry silk eyeshadow in khaki.
Weekend Plans: Hopefully some organizing.
What was the last movie you watched: I’m currently rewatching hot fuzz for the gazillionth time.
Fingers crossed your order comes through soon!!
Even his feet are cute;)
Haul: Tom Ford Moodlight Illuminating Powder Duo, Clinique Melon Pop, Nuxe Reve de miel lip balm
Weekend plans: Packing on Saturday, traveling to my sister in Ireland on Sunday, yay!
What was the last movie you watched?: Jurassic World
Nice haul, Jetske! Have a blast visiting your sister 🙂
Haul: I went to The Body Shop yesterday after getting a bump to the right side of my nose removed (it wasn’t like skin cancer or anyting, I was just sick of it) to get a more gentle cleanser for the next week until I can take the stitches out and it heals, and instead got a CRAP TON of stuff because they were doing a buy 3 get 3 free deal AND spend X amount get a jumbo shower gel AND I wanted to get some stuff for my sister as my dad is heading down to visit her next week and she is broke and has skin issues so I ended up buying: the Blue Corn 3-in-1 mask, Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream, Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil (for my mom), and getting for free: a jumbo size Olive shower gel, the Vitamin E face mist, Nutriganics foaming facial wash (the one thing I went in originally to get…), and the Nutriganics toner. For my sister (who is oily and acne prone instead of my dry and dehydrated, it’s like we’re total opposites): the Tea Tree toner, foaming cleanser, and pore minimiser, the warming mineral mask, Wonderblur, the bouncy sleeping mask (OMG I love this one), and another free jumbo shower gel this time from their Argan Oil line. Over half the stuff was free which is kind of amazing. But I’m going back next Friday with my mom to get the Oils of Life line which comes out then. Ack. I need to save up for neurosurgeons, not body stuff…
Weekend plans: Chill out before my mom visits on Tuesday.
What was the last movie you watched?: Oh that’s a tough one as it’s mostly been TV or YouTube. I think it was this Canadian indie comedy called Sex After Kids. It was a good lazy afternoon watch.
I keep meaning to try The Body Shop! Where should I start?
Hope your nose heals up soon!
That’s a bit of a tough one as it depends on what your skin type is (dry, oily, dehydrated, etc). One fair bet is their Body Butters. They have been my go-to body moisturizers for years now. I’ve tried others (both high and low end) and nothing really beats the price and quality of their Body Butters (my favorite is the Shea one). I’m also a big fan of some of their face masks (Tea Tree, Oat & Honey, Aloe, etc). Their Oils of Life range is coming out on the 27th for Body Shop insiders and the 28th for everyone else and I got to try out the sample ones they had and I am IN LOVE. They smell AMAZING and I’m usually really scent sensitive, and they make your skin feel like it’s on cloud nine. My sister uses a ton of the Tea Tree range as she has oily, acne prone skin with large pores and that line is great for all of that, while my mom uses a lot of the Vitamin E range and I use a lot of their Nutriganics and Vitamin C stuff. They’re sister stores with Kiehl’s so I find the quality to be about on par with them as well, while being cheaper than a lot of skincare brands. Oh! And if you like baths, their Fuji Green Tea line has “bath tea” which is super fun.
Haul: IT Cosmetics The Romantics Naturally Pretty Matte Palette w/Brush
Plans: A restaurant with outdoor seating and allows the pup.
Movie: Sabrina (We just got Roku and I’m finding so many movies I missed)
Have fun taking the pup to dinner ;D
Haul: Hard Candy Eyes The Limit Smoky Eyeshadow Primer. Saw this in Walmart the other night when I was going to get Maybelline Color Tattoo in black, so I figured this HC primer would save a step. Used it today, so far, so good. I’ll know at bedtime for sure! And this because Nyx JEP in Black Bean made my e/s crease and bunch up, so it went back.
Weekend plans: I’ll be doing my hair & nails like usual, going to my meeting on Sunday, and just trying to get through our infernal AZ weather! But I want to go to the beach!
What was the last movie you watched: Hmmm, it’s been awile, but I watched Frozen with my son and my two little grand-daughters last October!
Hope you make it through the hot weekend, Nancy!
Haul: NARS Smudgeproof eye primer, UD Ozone lip pencil, Chanel Temeraire Rouge Coco Shine (gorgeous)
Weekend Plans: Working extensively, getting the last of my stuff in order. Classes start Monday!
Last movie you watched: Oh, that was awhile ago…hmmm. I think it might have been Ant Man, which was FAR better than I expected it to be.
Temeraire — what kind of color is that?
It’s a shimmery red with a touch of plum to it. Cooler on me, though I imagine it would pull more neutral on a warmer skin tone. It was on display with the rest of the Fall collection, and I just picked it up to swatch and fell in love.
Haul: UD Revolution Lipstick in Rapture, IT Cosmetics Matte Vol 2, Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion, a loose pigment and some samples from Notoriously Morbid, and a bunch of Life’s Entropy samples.
Weekend plans: Celebrate my soon-to-be son-in-law’s birthday and get some rest after having visitors this past week.
What was the last movie you watched?: Into the Woods
Good news! My husband saw his doctor and the latest blood work shows vast improvements! The oncologist said that because the chemo is working now, that means it will continue to work, and my husband could easily be around for another thirty years! Whew! Now I can release the tension from my body and breathe!
YAYYYYY! Good news!!! May you enjoy your weekend with a lighter load!
Thanks! I had to keep reassuring myself for an entire week that things were going to be okay and I could relax. This past week, I haven’t been well and I know for a fact (been through it enough) that it’s due to the impact the stress has had on my body and immune system. I told my husband that he’s not allowed to develop any new medical issues! LOL
Good news! Now relax a bit!
Thank you!
Oh Cat, that is truly wonderful news! Now you can get a chance to catch your breath and breathe again!
Thank you! The thing about breathing? When I’m under so much stress, I have moments when I realize that I’m literally holding my breath and I have to remind myself to breathe. I haven’t had to do that this past week. =)
Paws!
Haul, nothing! Yay! 🙂 Having a dog in hospital is expensive, he probably had pancreatitis, tests show borderline numbers for it.
Weekend, staying home with said dog, who is a lot better, in fact I think he is OK, but needs food 4 times a day, and I don’t want to leave him alone.
Last movie, oh, I really don’t know, I haven’t been to the movies in ages, can’t remember what I saw then. I think the last one I watched on TV was an old muder mystery kind of film, it was quite old, starred Melissa Gilbert, from Little House on the Prairie.
Poor puppy. Hoping he feels better soon!
Haul: Nothing this week! I’m trying to be good, my mom & I will go on a shopping trip in 2 weeks & my husband & I will go to New York in October!
Weekend plans: As always, try to relax and go for a run! I start a Master’s program (distance) in like 2 weeks ahhh!
What was the last movie you watched?: I just watched Wreck It Ralph this morning 🙂
What stores are you and your mom going to hit up, Meghan?
Hey Samantha, I have used all of thoe SR products you are talking about. I think they are great products. Luna was a Godsend for me. I actually am now able to use retinol now thanks to stair stepping with it. Anyway, I was going to suggest laying off the cleanser or only using it at night. You could even just use the GG once a day. The lactic acid may be drying at first. SR makes great products. If course, if they don’t work out, they are expensive so totally return them. But, I had such a hard time getting my skin to tolerate retinol. So I had to work up and I did so with Good Genes and Luna. I apolgize, if I am coming off nosey. I’m 39 and a skincare junkie. Just trying to help! 🙂
