LOL! I better knock on ALL the wood, but he has never damaged a makeup item to my knowledge. He has tried to nab a sock (puppy days), knocked over a lamp (puppy days) by tripping on a cord, and then consuming a Rock Band drum stick (about 1/3 of one) and a wooden camel figurine — we’re pretty sure he enjoys nibbling on wood, haha.
At least Nude 002 was awesome! Wish they had used that formula for their regular powder shades!

Hey Katherine, I received that Chanel liner in Feullies (914) just yesterday. I am wearing it today. I’ll let you know on the wear later tonight or tomorrow. But, as far as the initial: The color is a very dark olive to brown. I wouldn’t say it would be a shade which is impossible to dupe. This one has a nice glide. I really like it so far. In fact, I am pretty happy with the way all four swatched. Anther one you may want to check out if you are looking a unique is Erable (919)-really just beautiful. I like this formula when it works because of the twist up and the wear time. So, are you looking for a unique shade or wear or do you like this formula too?
Nicole, thanks for the update! I’ve only tried one Chanel liner (Orchidee) and really liked it, but I haven’t tried any of the others yet. For that price, I prefer more unique shades, but if the color is beautiful and wears strong, I might cave. Erable was the other one that I was eyeing, so gorgeous. I have to check my stash tonight, but I don’t think I have a similar color. What a great haul – enjoy playing with everything, and let me know how it goes!
Gasp! You can use he 10% off promos form Saks for makeup?! I used to get texts from them and got annoyed and had them stopped. And what is the rebates? Is that ebates or something else? Oh Katherine you must let me in on this! lol
Girl, you buy so much makeup, you need to get IN on these deals!!! Sign up for Ebates and Mr. Rebates, as they give cash back (usually 4-8%) for Sephora, SAKS, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, ULTA, etc etc and 99% of the time, there are no restrictions at all on makeup brands, even prestige ones. And I always check both sites before I shop because sometimes Ebates will be giving 4% but Mr. Rebates will give 8% and vice versa. And when you do your shopping, you have to go log in and go through the Ebates or Mr. Rebates shop first, which will then link you to Sephora, because if you go direct to Sephora.com, you won’t get any money back. But the sites are very easy to use, usually takes less than 30 secs. And it adds up fast, I’ve probably received $100 – $150 back by now, and more money is coming. SAKS had a 10% promo code that was good for a week (expired by now), and it was good storewide, and the 12% Mr. Rebates cash back was on TOP of that, so 22% off. And I know I’m getting the money because after a couple of days of the order, I get confirmation emails from Ebates and Mr. Rebates that the SAKS cash back was applied. You just need to be careful when you Pre-Order makeup, because your credit card might not be charged right away until the item is shipped 1 month later , so the cash back offer has expired or computer lost track of it, so you might not get any cash back on those. Thanks so much Nicole, for your thoughts on Feuilles ! It sounds promising — I love the idea using it to do an olive smoky eye with that Chanel D’Automnes quad. And a matte olive liner can help anchor more shimmery shadows. I think I might get it, and if it doesn’t work out, I can always return it. Thanks again!
Nicole, you mentioned that you took your last Ebates refund as an e-gift card for Sephora. If you use that Sephora gift card to buy more makeup online, both Ebates and Mr. Rebates won’t give you cash back for those purchases. It’s in their rules. Don’t ask me why, but just want to let you know. My husband gave me some Sephora gift cards, and I’m kind of bummed, but ok with not getting cash back on those because it’s free money that was given to me. But if I’ve earned the cash back, I don’t want to give it back to them, with no cash back, because that means I’m paying full price.
Yes, it’s nice saving 22%, but that means I just end up buying 22% more makeup LOL! Yep, it’s really fun, waaaay too fun Hahahahaha

So, here is my opinion on Chanel’s Stylo Yeux waterproof in 914 (Feuilles). Bare in mind, I don’t consider myself to have oily eyelids. But, I do wear eye cream and I skipped primer yesterday for this test for you. :). It is a really nice color and one I think that will be some thing you could get a ton of wear throughout the year-great for fall and winter. It’s a deep, matte olive which can be smoked and softened. But, after a few seconds it sets . So, it can be worn full-on. I like that because it gives you time to correct mistakes! I’m not sure if it’s not completely non-dupable. I have a lot of liners and I couldn’t find anything that I would say was equally as pretty in the color and quality. All of the olive liners I own have shimmer in them to some degree. This does not. The closest I had to this was Mac’s Pearlglide in Blackline. I have the one from the Alluring Aquatic collection. Not sure if that is a LE shade or not. It has a dab of shimmer. And overall, the quality doesn’t compare IMO. As far as the waterproof claim- I splashed my eyes with water and the liner remained as was. However, when it was wet and I rubbed a little with a towel it did take some off. Hope that helped! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Ewww! Really?! I did not read the “rules”! lol. I went through Ebates so I just figured it worked. Those stinkers! You’re a total pro. Well next time I will be patient and wait for my actual check. I was so bummed because I had a computer issue and had to place a pretty big order with Nordstrom over the phone and the Ebates completely slipped my mind until after the order was placed. I think it was only a 4% return. So, not huge. But still. kicked myself!

Haul: I got a lot of stuff from the Chanel fall collection. I got both palettes. But, I am returning the Entrelacs because it Is just the worst palette I have used since I was 12 I think. I am still in shock that Chanel produced that. I also got all for eye liners, Alezane blush, Rouge gorge illusion d’ombre, Chene Rouge glossimer, La Bouleversante rouge allure ( still deciding on it). I also wound up with Bobbi Brown’s Sunset Pink shimmer brick( I am loving it and want all of them now!), Tom Ford’s Morrocan Rouge Lipstick, Lauder’s Pure color Envy sculpting in Dangerous, Mac lipsticks in Royally Riotous, Up the Amp, and Antique Velvet. Delving back into liquid lipsticks- I received KVD’s formula in Lovesick, Sante Sangre, and Double dare. I placed an colourPop order. But, it won’t be here fr a while. I also got Colourpop’s Raw for my daughter to wear to the Meghan Trainor concert next Fri. I probably will wear Brills or bars Dominique. She’s super excited about wearing lipstick and the concert!
Weekend Plans: Need to return and exchange stuff at the mall and finish up BTS shopping for my daughter. She starts Wednesday. The summer went to fast. But, I am ready because I am exhausted! lol.

Yeah. Well, I returned the Bronze and Glow and Color of Youthbfrom the CTX NP collection. I was going to use that to add either cream blush and a second Viseart or Nude Dip or I may just check my wallet once the credits come in. I am waiting on some from a pair of jeans and shoes I returned too after the Nordys sale. Heck, I may haul a couple of Visearts and Nude Dip too. The Tom Ford Fall colour stuff is taking forever! Plus, from what I’ve heard,its mostly lipstick and a few cheek and eye things. I’ve been socking my $ away for that. So, I may wait to see what that brings first since those are permanent. What two Visearts are a good start? I’m thinking a good matte neutral and one with some color. Thanks and sorry!
If you feel like you need cool tones, maybe the cool matte over their original matte formula. I liked both the pearl palettes, so I’d go with the one with the most colors that call to you!

Haul: I picked up my un-melted MAC Royally Riotous replacement at the UPS Fulfillment Ctr. yesterday, and sent the melted one back. Woohoo! It’s so gorgeous! Also got 2 Sephora Contour eyeliner pencils that were in their clearance bins: Baby Blues (to use on waterline with UD Slanted and Dagger concentric look) and shockingly: My Boyfriend’s Jeans! Shocked because 1.) I don’t wear cobalt around my eyes, and 2.) WHY are they discontinuing this color? Had to buy a new hairbrush after basically destroying mine last weekend by accident, got Olivia Garden’s extra-large barrel Ionic Boar Combo ThermoActive brush. Eos lip balm, and Orly Frosting Nail Polish.
Weekend plans: touching up my roots and blowing out my hair with this new brush! Staying INDOORS, as it will be up around 113-116 today thru Sunday!
What’s your favorite board game: not sure whether it still exists, but Othello. Purely a strategical game! My ex-husband loved Chess, he was a master at it, never lost. Then he taught me how to play, after roughly 25-30 trys, I beat him! He was absolutely furious that a “beginner” won….not a pleasant evening. ?
I vaguely remember the logo for Othello, but I’m 99% sure I never played, lol.

My favorite board game is probably Scrabble. I like strategy games like Risk, and Battleship (probability not made any more) but used to play with my mother and I on one team and my hubs and dad on the other team. They were cutthroat a A blood bath everybtime
Not great at card games as I never learned as a but enjoy the once in a while. Tum on snowy winter nights with some good wing’s malt Scotch on the rocks.

Weekend, no plans. I was going to do laundry, but I canged my mind, so boring!

What skincare from Guerlain?
Abielle Royale Face Treatment Oil and Abeille Royale Day Cream. I tried the oil first, finished it and decided I should go through all the serums and creames I have, and my skin didn’t like it, I got dry patches, and it looked unelastic and dull. Two days into the new bottle of oil it feels moisturized, no dryness and it looks quite nice. I added the day cream because I didn’t really have any good one left, and so far I like it a lot.
I don’t think either are for dry skin, the day cream is for normal to combination (I have combination) the products seem to normalize the skin, the T-zone isn’t as oily, and there are no appearent dry patches.
Wow! That is impressive 🙂 I haven’t used any Guerlain skincare in years, but I know they had luxurious textures.
Well… I was a bad girl. I bought 2 kvd eyeshadows – Rapture and Synergy. I also bought a becca blush, and my mom’s belated birthday present. I redeemed my points to get the Peter Thomas Roth 500 point perk at Sephora.
