This week’s Mellan photo…
Mellan just waking up–it’s so hard to be Mellan!
Haul: Two Rouge Bunny Rouge blushes (new favorite!) and Sleek Ultra Matte palette V2 Darks (also loving!).
Weekend plans: Wine tasting, studying for the bar . . .
I collect matte black eyeshadow. For all the rest of my makeup, I try to avoid duplicates, but for some reason I just want allll the matte black eyeshadows. I like to compare them!
Haul: Revlon Carbonite nail polish, Maybelline Midnight Master Cream Pencil, Maidenform bra.
Weekend plans: My friend is helping me train for a new job, and I need to photograph some products for upcoming reviews.
Do you collect anything?: Apart from makeup? LOL. Whenever I go to museums/cultural attractions, I always get a magnet and pen. I also collect vintage makeup and makeup containers.
OMG this is such a big bed! From your pics it seems like Mellan is quite a big dog, and his bed is king size 😀
* Haul: Nothing for this week, although I might check out ‘Have A Lovely Day’ and ‘Keep it Loose’ from the MAC Casual Colours and pick one.
* Weekend plans: Work! And a nice dinner planned with my best friend for the sole reason that I feel like dressing up.
* Do you collect anything?: …Apart from makeup, you mean? 😛 definitely PhD data: i’m clocking up 4 TB of data already and I’m nowhere near done -.-
@kmk05 what’s your phd about & what are you studying?
@simone lymbery I’m doing in situ synchrotron tomography on metallurgical samples: it’s basically collecting loads of ‘CT scans’, which is 3D image data, and then processing it. It means I never delete anything and I am continuously producing more data volumes! They’re each around 1GB and I have more than 1000 of them… it’s sad, really.
Haul: Got a limited edition benefit califonia kissin/ posietint duo stick for my bag… i use posietint on my cheeks and i am a suck for a new lip gloss lol so i brought it to go along side my stock standard Lancome Juicy tube In marshmellow electro (which is my all time favorite shade in that range at the moment until i get to try the others – so tempted to by the juicy tubes gift pack debenhams has!!!)
Weekend plans: not much taking out a friend on Sunday for dinner he’s elderly and doesn’t get out much so my husband and i try and taking me out to a local pub or somewhere nice once a week.
Do you collect anything?: Where do i begin? (LOL) collect keyrings, fridge magnets, little statues and i have a small collection of cookbooks
Haul: my hautelook order came-theBalm Frat Boy and Time Balm. Love Frat Boy, hate Time Balm- creases under my eyes, which is never a problem I’ve had with concealer. Replacement MUFE HD foundation, L’oreal Lineur Intense, Revlon Photoready mascara.
Weekend plans: Relaxing! So happy to have the whole weekend off.
Do you collect anything?: nope. that’s for people with money haha.
I have 2 questions. Where did you get that dog bed and how easy is it to clean?
haul: MAC casual colour Weekend Getaway. Possibly going back and getting Keep it Loose
weekend plans: my mother’s birthday and a 10k!
collect?: i guess this counts, but I collect perfume samples. those tiny little viles. I have a box full of them. I’m always on the hunt for my next fragrance so I always pick up samples when i shop.
That dog bed looks quite comfy, 🙂
No hauls for me .. but do need to buy a baby gift for a colleague. Weekend plans are to head to the desert where it’s hot, hot, hot! And I don’t really collect anything .. I’m a gemini and too flaky to focus on one thing 😉
I was only going to get MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder NC 35 but ended up getting MAC Russian Red and MAC Deep Truth as well as a Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach. All because they have free shipping right now. 😛
Weekend Plan: Have a picnic at the base. Alaskan summers are the best!
Collect anything? Right now MAC permanent eyeshadows. I like your collection and someday mine will come close. Hopefully. If I don’t lose interest. lol 🙂
Oh, Mellan’s bed looks so comfy! :)Haul: Bought a back-up of the Nars Pro Prime Eyeshadow Base, a Rouge Bunny Rouge Highlighting Liquid in Sea of Clouds, an Illamasqua Skinbase and the Cream Blusher in Zygomatic. (So loving that blush!)
Weekend plans: Going fabric shopping with my mother tomorrow and afterwards we’ll have lunch in a nice seafood restaurant. On Sunday I’ve work as always.
Do you collect anything?: Well… make-up, CDs and books (fantasy novels and cookbooks mainly). But otherwise I don’t have any special collection.

Camel figurines? haahahaha that’s funny, I never would’ve guesses in a million years!
Haul : Crown travel Kabuki brush – very soft, but it sheds. Le Metier Kaleidoscope blush set and Calypso Fresh Tint. Also just ordered the Benefit 4 pack mini push glosses from HSN. I love that they match the powder/blush boxes !!!
Weekend: House work, some more shopping and going to watch PROMETHEUS !
Collect: OMG, lots of things. I collect postcards from wherever I travel to. I mail to myself all the time. I collect fabric from around the world. And I collect Momiji Dolls.
Oops, forgot to add – How’s the wedding planning coming along ? I would love to hear the details 🙂 Happy weekend.
@Adelle It’s going – not much to share, really!
Mellan is so adorable. No hauls for me, either, and I’m not sure what we’re doing this weekend. Today is our dog’s birthday, though! 😀
Haul: I picked up Guerlain’s Les Gris palette and I also ordered some items (Rouge Bunny Rouge, Edward Bess, Le Metier) from Zuneta. But those won’t arrive until next week, so it only kind of counts…
-Haul: I need to stop spending money. I blame it all on Temptalia. 😉 NARS Andy Warhol collection “New York Dolls” nail varnish; MUFE Aqua Black cream eyeshadow; Ole Henricksen Sugar Scrub, African Red Tea foaming Cleanser, African Red Tea night eye cream, African Red Tea night face cream, African Red Tea toner/mist & Feel the Difference Perfecting hydrating face mask.
-Weekend Plans: It’s the Belmont Stakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Final leg of the Triple Crown and, maybe, just maybe, we will finally have a Triple Crown winner for the first time in over 30 years!!!!!!! As for all legs of the Triple Crown, my family has a little luncheon with cocktails & a small betting pool. If my mother wins the pool more time on the basis of “that’s such a beautiful horse,” I’m going to go home and sulk. LOL.
-Things I collect: Books. I have thousands in my library and untold amounts in cartons in the garage. I stopped counting when I had over 35. I also have a slight obsession with expensive bed linens, particularly duvet covers. Perfume and boots, too, but I go through cycles in terms of which obsession comes to the fore.
What kind of dog is your parents’ dog and how old is she? Has socialisation on neutral ground (to make her feel less protective/defensive) worked?
@Kafka It’s a Pekingese – I think she’s around 7 or 8 now. She’s always been “I need 6 feet around me at all times” — with both humans and dogs. She lived with my other two family dogs until both of the passed, though she and the other female have fought a few times.
Nothing seems to have worked. Mellan is REALLY good, thankfully. He’s never snapped or anything back at her, despite her attempts to growl, snarl, and nip/bite him. Since I’m petsitting for over a week, I’m forcing her to stay in my office with Mellan and I. She’s not particularly pleased!
@Christine (Temptalia) Some of what you’re describing seems to be the Pekingese personality in general (I’m not a fan, to be honest) but I have to wonder if she’s starting to have eye issues that are aggravating the problem. Many of the Pekingese I’ve known have started to have blindness or cataracts at around that exact age, so they get even more irritable and protective of their space. It’s not always easy to notice until it’s really set in and not all vets automatically check the eyes each time a dog is brought in. 🙁 It may be something to consider.
As for duvet covers, it’s… um… well, let’s say the feeling you would get when you see a new Rouge G, that’s me when I see a lovely duvet cover. What’s worse, I’m OCD enough to organise my collection: solids ranging from light to dark, then patterns in the same way. When I get a new one, I post an excited photo on FB (with the Hairy German lying on top of the bed, naturally) the same way some people might post a photo of a new bag or a vacation photo. Honestly, I embarass *myself* at this point! LOL.
@Kafka I’ll definitely pass that info on to my parents!
LOL, and here I sit with the same cover at all times…… I’m the one who’s embarrassed!
@Kafka BTW, I don’t know if I’ve EVER heard about someone collecting duvet covers, LOL! It is awesome in that rare kind of way.
@Christine (Temptalia) @Kafka i would totally collect duvet covers. you can change a bedroom so easily! they tend to be really expensive though 🙁
@MIRIANV Yep, you can totally change a bedroom look according to your mood. Plus, if you have a German Shedding Machine who sleeps with you, it’s a lot more hygenic than having a super thick non-duvet comforter that has to be dry-cleaned. That ends up making it a bit cheaper in the long run. At least, that’s one way I justify things to myself. I’ve become very good at those self-rationalisations, no matter how inapplicable they become after some crazy number. <grin>
@Kafka i have a fluffy, shedding husky puppy 🙁 she’s finally big enough to jump onto our bed so i predict nightmare hair loss in the future
@MIRIANV Awww, I love, love, love Huskies! A Husky puppy…. <squeeee> Do you have any photos posted to the Temptalia pet group on Flickr? If not, um…. <hint, hint> 🙂 And yes, I see massive shedding in your future as well! I trust you have a Furminator? It doesn’t eradicate the problem but it definitely minimises the tumbleweeds to some extent.
@Kafka I hear you on the books! My husband and I have…nine bookcases in our apartment, all full. In the *apartment* we have about twenty boxes of books we have no room for, plus we have a storage unit with many, many more boxes of books. And that’s not counting the husband’s comics collection. I don’t need a house, I need a library!
@blueraccoon I choked on the “I don’t need a house, I need a library” comment. Hahaha, thanks for the Diet Dr. Pepper everywhere. 😉 I’m not sure having a library is the answer, though. I have one room JUST lined with bookcases (it’s where I do all my work) and even with the books sometimes triple-lining the shelves, all it does (psychologically) is make me think I have the space to buy even MORE books. Which… er… NO. I don’t. No space at all! lol (But I don’t like giving away books, either.) What sort of book genres or authors do you like? Do you focus on one or two categories of books (fiction, classical lit., fantasy, history, reference, biographies, IT stuff, etc.) more than others?
@Kafka We have a two-bedroom apartment. The second bedroom, which is my “office”, has four bookcases in it, and that’s a lot of my books which range from my exceedingly large Nora Roberts collection (it’s predictably fun) to the husband’s Michael Moorcock collection to a lot of graphic novels. The living room has the other five bookcases, one devoted to the husband’s history books and the other four to whatever we can fit on the shelves. We gravitate toward sf and fantasy, with a lot of mystery thrown in there, and the husband reads a lot of historical fiction and non-fiction. I don’t tend to read much non-fiction just by preference. And yes, he has a Kindle and I read books on my Android phone, but that doesn’t seem to help us save any room! 🙂
I can’t stand giving away books, but lately I’ve begun to feel like we HAVE to, we just have no room to acquire more, and there’s no way we’re going to stop buying books!
@blueraccoon I’m a Luddite; I simply *can’t* do the Kindle thing. I just can’t. As for giving the books away, I hear you. Believe me, I do. I’ve done a purge twice in the last 25 years and each time, I felt as though I were giving away my children. What I have now is a careful selection which I won’t give away. Ever. But you *do* have to get to that point eventually. And that requires the dreaded purge. What I often do now is check books out from the library, particularly if it’s a book for my book club or if they’re not on a subject-matter that I really focus on (for example, gastronomy or the Nazis/SS). Then, if I didn’t like the book, I’m fine but if I loved it, I can buy a copy. As for graphic novels/cartoons, I don’t know much about them but a friend does a highly stylized, much acclaimed fantasy (?) series called “Monocyte” which has stunning artwork. (Truly, it’s actually akin to a work of art, imo.) I can totally see how one could get caught up in something like that!! I suspect that I’d have a lot in common with your husband’s selection of books.:) History is one of my passions in life and I have 5 eight or ten foot bookcases *just* for (some of) my history books.
@Kafka I purged a lot of my books when I moved cross-country, but since then I’ve been building up my collection again. What’s problematic lately is that the husband’s parents just shipped us eight boxes of books that had been in their basement and which they wanted out of their house. The books went right into our storage unit 🙁 He’s also good about the library, but I forget to return books, so I’m less good about it and prefer to buy them from the half-price store. The only things I buy on the Android are books I don’t care much about, really.
What areas of history are your faves? The husband’s into a lot of European history and medieval history and that sort of thing – his BA thesis was on the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381, to give you an idea.
@blueraccoon I *love* Half-Price Books! (But then, I would, wouldn’t I, with my cheapskate side. LOL). My particular, ultra-narrow area of thesis focus was the SS but, really, totalitarian regimes as a whole. I focused heavily on European history (esp. 1871 onwards), with a particular interest in the Interwar period and, of course, the Nazis at all points and stages. The totalitarian focus obviously brought in the Soviet Union and the Cold War up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. But… I also studied both Chinese and Japanese history extensively, throughout all eras, along with some Renaissance and Roman/antiquities history. I purposely chose a university that didn’t have endless requirements/pre-requisites in subjects like sociology, statistics, economics, etc. and a super-strong history dept.. That way, I could focus exclusively on what *I* wanted to study. In the end, I more than doubled all my major requirements for history. With the exception of some Poli-Sci, Comp. Lit, Lit. and Classics classes, I basically just took endless history courses. Not a math digit or science class anywhere in sight. So, um, yeah… slightly obsessed with history. <blush.> It’s a pity your husband isn’t interested in makeup and on this board. LOL. 🙂
@Kafka Half Price is where I go for books where I’m not *sure* I’ll like it, or if I want to buy a replacement copy because my old paperback gave up the ghost and died, or if I want to buy trashy romance novels that aren’t by my fave authors, or…yeah, I like that bookstore a lot, and I’m fortunate we have two within fifteen minutes of me 😀
Also, re college – I did the same thing, but not so I could take history classes; my entire college goal was to avoid calculus, and I totally did! I took ONE math class my entire undergrad career, and it was for a logic minor, hee.
@blueraccoon I completely understand structuring one’s college plans and life in order to avoid taking calculus! I was forced to take it in highschool for the Int’l Baccalaureate and it was the biggest ordeal and nightmare ever. I couldn’t fathom going to college and being required to deal with even more numbers! To this day, if someone starts talking econ, maths, stats or numbers, my eyes completely glaze over. LOL.
So, who are your favorite trashy authors after Nora Roberts? (Heh @ “exceedingly large Nora Roberts collection.”) Believe me, I’m no snob. I have one bookcase just for my favorite Regency romance novels & Chick Lit books. <grin> (The really bad but fun ones are hidden in some of those cartons in the garage. My shameful secret forever! lol)

@Kafka I think Nora Roberts (and her pseud, J.D. Robb) are my fave “trashy” authors, and I’m not even sure I’d call her trashy. More…predictable? Like you know what’s going to happen going in, but it’s still an enjoyable read. I used to be into Regency romance novels but not so much anymore. Hmm. I like a lot of urban fantasy, and there are a lot of authors into the supernatural romance genre that are fun – Keri Arthur, Patricia Briggs (although Arthur’s books I wouldn’t pay full price for), and there’s one other but I’m blanking on it at the moment.

Whoa, that’s a lot of books! I thought we had a lot with three shelves (not to mention everything tucked under and around tables). We cleaned out quite a few when we decided to go back and weed out all the childhood ones, but then I moved to an apartment down the street from a thrift store, and, well, you can fill up shelf space pretty fast when you can buy books for a quarter, haha.
The Nook my sister got me for Christmas is probably the single most useful item anybody has bought me. All that back pain from lugging around huge history tomes remedied by the wonder of technology!
@Veronica – yeah, we have a lot *g* I’ve tried to get into e-readers, I really have, but I just can’t do it. Weirdly, I *can* read on my phone, or on the computer, so a backlit screen is fine, but I just can’t do e-ink. I have no idea why. But we’re getting an iPad soon so hopefully that can serve as my e-reader.
Haul: Holika Holika BB cream (blue tube for oily skin), Dr. Brandt pores no more skincare set, tarte primer set, and benefit dandelion
Weekend plans: none really yet

The primer of the pores no more is the best one out there and forth the money. I don’t have relaly huge pore just small ones on th nose but i got a sample of this to test this stuff out and my skin looked like a dolls… it was kinda creepy. lol
@Ani_BEE
It seems to work really well for me so far! yay 🙂
Haul: NARS Dragon Girl velvet matte lip pencil.
Weekend plans: taking a golf lesson, hopefully getting a haircut, relaxing, reading… 🙂
Collections: hmmm…not really, nothing that comes to mind anyway!
Haul: Nada!
Weekend plans: House keeping. lol
Do you collect anything?: To many things in the past I collected, in fact I’m systematically sell them off (mostly comics) and stop buying a lot of stuff. (Although I think my Kid Robot/Tokidoki and Square Enix stuff is stay with me ;P). My Mom’s a huge Movie/TV series collector so thankfully I only buy stuff for her now a presents. lol
I guess it’s mostly makeup and cosplay parts I collect. But I also try to sell my costumes as I retire them.
Haul: Anastasia waterproof topcoat-amazing for all those mascaras that smudge! Tons of OPI, Essie and Butter London nail polishes from Ulta
Weekend plans: Spending time with my boyfriend and TRUE BLOOD PREMIERE!
Do you collect anything?: Archie Comics, miniature things, I guess you could say makeup and nail polish too
Haul: MAC casual colours Keep it Loose and Out for Fun, Feeling Fresh eyeshadow. And a cute 60s coral skirt and top outfit.
Weekend Plans: Finish fixing that poor 50s dress… ARRRG who does that to a hem?! Watching Mad Men season finale! Also, Trying not to die of humidity.
Do you collect anything? : Bunny things, vintage clothes, and I seem to have a serious green eyeshadow problem.
@fireinthehead “Watching Mad Men season finale! Also, Trying not to die of humidity.” – Hahahahaha, me too — to both parts! Last week’s Mad Men (esp. in conjunction with the Game of Thrones season finale) almost gave me a heart attack from stress and the anxious build-up! God only knows what Mad Men will do for its finale.
@Kafka I’m a giant dork for Mad Men so I’m on pins and needles waiting for sunday night! LOL
…and I’m totally regretting saying I’ll finish that dress because I’ll have to be using the iron… we’ll see… *dies*
@fireinthehead All I know is that Peggy better not be gone permanently. The stuff with Lane was bad enough without that as well! Do you know all the makeup on Mad Men is NARS? I actually stop the DVR nonstop during each episode to peer at the screen, wondering whether Joan is wearing Gueule de Nuit or Gilda blush, trying to figure out which lipstick Megan is wearing (she seems to love Funny Face), and crazy things like that. It kinda ruins the flow sometimes but I totally can’t help it. Monday, I called my mother just to cackle at her that Betty was very obviously wearing NARS’ Luster blush throughout the episode. Makeup… driving me to madness, one Mad Men episode at a time. 😉
@Kafka I’d say the show is almost as much about Peggy as it is about Don, so I’d have to hope Peggy is still part of the show. I didn’t know that about the makeup, I don’t have any NARS. Been tempted in Sephora a few times, but I usually have a list of stuff I need to get when I’m there and I decide I shouldn’t spend any more! LOL

Haul: NARS Dogon & Rajasthan (both are absolutely *gorgeous*); NARS Bengali (I haven’t received it yet, though); Revlon PhotoReady Bronzer in Bronzed & Chic (perfect matte contour color); Black Radiance Artisan Color Baked Bronzer in Blackbery (I plan to use it on the eyes or for stylized contour); BR AC Baked Eye Color in Violet Glaze; L’Oreal Sublime Sun Advanced Sunscreen SPF 50 (*highly* recommend, unless sensitive to silicones; works beautifully with foundation, and is my SPF, primer, & moisturizer in one); Prestige Shadow Duo in Morada (a good sub for NARS Marie-Galante, only more pigment/no glitter). I also cashed in my Sephora BI points and got a Tarte sampler & UD De Slick.
Plans: Art show at my daughter’s school today, Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday, and of course, playing with my new stuff.
Collect: Corsets-I buy them, because I like them, but I have the rare occasion to wear them, and they’re a PITA to put on. It’s not an official collection, and I don’t have many, but they’re really the only thing I buy that rarely, if ever, actually gets used.
Haul: Eos shave cream, Loreal Caresse lipsticks, Sephora Rouge Shine lipsticks, Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch spf (smells so good), Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deo, and Avon Ideal Flawless foundation.

Haul: Nothing

Do you collect anything? Heart shaped objects, jewelry & exquisite makeup brushes.
Haul: nothing beauty related but I did get some Betsey Johnson earrings that are super cute
Weekend Plans: just relax!
Do I collect anything? I collect makeup i guess, and Hello Kitty stuff, and tokidoki stuff, I guess I collect a lot of stuff 😛
Haul: travel-size Bliss hand cream, Tarte primer sampler, Boots no. 7 cleansing wipes, Benefit Hello Flawless compact (I may not be keeping this), Sephora/Pantone eye brush set, Shine Automatique #263
Weekend plans: I’m a total geek, so our group’s D&D game is tomorrow (that one runs every other week; we have others that run on off weeks), but I’m working 7am – 7pm on Sunday. Bleah.
Collecting: Elephants! (Not live ones.) I adore elephants, and I have a collection of small ones that sit on my desk, plus my keychain, and a few others. I want a tattoo of an elephant on the back of my neck, but the husband is less thrilled. Also books, but that’s less collecting and more just a way of life. We have thousands, between me and the husband. I need a library, not a house.
Haul : Revlon Peach Parfait lip butter, Maybelline Define-a-brow, Illamasqua Naked Rose blush, MAC Have A Lovely Day Casual color
Weekend plans : I’m working on Saturday but Sunday I’m buying paints for my new appartment !
Collecting : Makeup and I would say books too. I have sooo much !
Haul: Nothing, and I blame UD!!!! Haha. I planned on getting some stuff from Sephora, and part of that was two UD liquid liners (Radium & Perversion), but they (UD) are pissing me off right now. I’m looking for an alternative to Radium before making that Sephora purchase. I’ve been wanting a bright royal/cerulean blue. Radium was going to act as my substitute for MAC Royal Wink, so now I need a substitute for my substitute. 😛 The things on my list to haul before UD’s BS held that up were Hourglass’ No. 28 Primer Serum, BB Corrector in Light Peach, Anastasia Brow Gel in Granite, and some NARS goodies, but might actually have to get those separate from Sephora. I’m also dying to try Giorgio Armani ETK Excess Mascara.
Weekend plans: Relax, overall. I haven’t been to our Farmer’s Market, yet, so I wanted to hit up that tomorrow moning. Might go out of city to the Italian Festival with fam, but not sure if that’s happening.
Do you collect anything? Hearts. And stuff. ;P Haha.
@Miss J, just an FYI, sweetie, for another 4 days or so, NARS has free shipping on any order (not just the usual “over $50”). I got an email from them yesterday to that effect. So, if you’re not planning to go the Sephora or eBay route, the free shipping may help. Oh, I also thought of you when I saw NARS G-Spot on eBay going for around $10.50 (thus far). But I think Cactus Flower is the one really calling your name. Don’t you hear it? “Miss J, Miss J…… buy me, buy me!” <grin>
@Kafka @Miss I could kiss you!!! I probably would have missed the free shipping. The inner lid of my NARS Sheer Glow bottle broke, so at the very least I need to order the pump from them while that’s going on now. I’m still undecided on the other NARS items I’m considering. Do you know how similar Cactus Flower is to Exhibit A?
@Miss J – Hope this reply goes through as I got a Livefyre notification of your reply but your post doesn’t show up on the page when refresh my computer. (Actually, tons of times lately, lots of posts don’t show up, even ones I’ve written myself, until way later. Bloody Livefyre.) Okay, re the blushes, Exhibit A to me is a BRIGHT red, with a brick-fiery-orange hue. Cactus Flower *looks* red in the pan but it’s not. It’s absolutely NOT red. It’s a bright, warm mango-pink-coral on the cheeks with a sheer gold shimmer. Yeah, if you really (REALLY) build it up, I’m sure you can get some more of the red coming out. Maybe. But on me, it’s not red. Not even close. Poppy pink coral, perhaps. Whatever it is, it’s absolutely not the colour in the pan, imo. It’s not red and it’s absolutely not orange. I think it’s incredibly wearable on a daily basis, which I don’t think Exhibit A would be for me with my skin colouring. As for Sheer Glow, is your bottle leaking? BTW, I think that may end up being my HG foundation! Punjab is a perfect match for my colouring at this moment & I *LOVE* how it looks on me (my skin but better), so I’m definitely buying it soon. Probably without the pump as they told me it’s it’s supposed to be warmed and used with the fingers, not with a brush and not pumped out, since that makes a difference in application and look.
@Kafka @Miss Hmmm, so Cactus Flower sounds like it would be similar on me when applied. Exhibit A looks very, very bold red-orange/orange-red in the pan, but comes out pinkish-red/coral, and nothing like the pan. It can be worn sheerly, but it still looks bright/neon almost. It’s very deceptive, lol. Cactus Flower is probably a lot more wearable due to its sheerness. It sounds like it might be more pinky, not as bright, and gotta love the added sparkle. Decisions, decisions! Exhibit A is a little much for me because it requires the faintest hand to not overdo it., so it’s a PITA to work with sometimes. My regular shade in Sheer Glow is Ceylan, just FYI. I adore the foundation for the same reason; it gives me a my skin, but better, look. I do like MUFE HD, but it washes me out, a lot. Know what I mean? It looks very flat on its own, and I always have to bring my face back to life with other products, or else it doesn’t look too lovely. There is just something about the finish of Sheer Glow that I don’t get from anything else. Every time I wear it, someone tells me my face looks soft, haha. AND YES, it’s leaking, or actually…it’s more like when I go to shake the product up, it goes into the rubberized cap lid. The rubberized, rectangular lid covers up the screw top lid portion, and that screw top portion on mine broke at the “seam” on the top of the lid, so it pours out into the cap. 🙁 The pump will be fine on it as long as it gets shaken up before each use to mix up the ingredients. I apply it using my fingers to the middle of my face then blending out, and if I want to add a little more coverage, I put some on my fingertips then rub together then press it into the areas where I want more coverage. It melts into the skin and blends out beautifully that way.

Mac casual colors! Got 3 out of 6 🙂
Haul: Milani Shocking Pink eyeshadow. Since I was going through a “spring cleaning” periods, I actually wound up giving away or disposing of more makeup this past two weeks than I bought.
Weekend Plans: Working,
Collections: Clothing, shoes, books. I used to collect animation cels, but it frankly just got too expensive when I hit college. I should really consider liquidating my collection.
“Go away. Leave me alone. I know I am adorable.” LOL!
Can I ask where you got Mellans dog bed? Looks like one that my dog would enjoy and fit on!
Haul – Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Cherish, 2 China Glaze Neon polishes
Weekend plans – Work!
Collect – nothing, unless you count nail polish!
Orvis! 🙂 It’s the deep dish dog bed. I have two of them, and the one you see in the photo is the large. The other one we have for Mellan is a small – it fits inside his crate perfectly. Now that we have more space, a real bed is better for everyday use. I’d say the large is TOO large for Mellan (~60 pounds), but the medium was only 2″ longer/wider than the small, so it didn’t make sense to get it.
