Fenty Beauty Double Take Gloss Bomb Cream Duo Review & Swatches
Double Take
Fenty Beauty Double Take Gloss Bomb Cream Lip Set ($29.00 for 0.6 oz.) includes two, new full-sized shades of shimmer-free gloss in shades of cotton candy pink and muted, pink-coral. They’re comfortable to wear–hydrating and plush without being tacky–but they are a little thick, and the thickness combined with the cream finish made them more prone to settling into my lip lines.

Bubble Binge
Bubble Binge is a brighter, medium-dark cotton candy pink with cool, blue undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied somewhat evenly but had a tendency to get into my deeper lip lines, though the shiny finish made it less noticeable in person. The texture was smooth, plush, and non-sticky but felt thicker than ideal. It wore well for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$19.00/0.3 oz. - $63.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage from "medium" to "full" with "zero shimmer" and a "non-sticky feel." They had medium to semi-opaque coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly in most instances, though there was light settling into my deeper lip lines with a couple of shades.
The consistency was smooth, mostly non-sticky, and like a plusher cream, though lightweight, but it was a slightly thicker gloss to the point where adding a full-on, second layer did start to feel heavier and like I had a lot of product on, so I'd recommend these more for someone who wasn't interested in building up the coverage beyond one layer.
They wore around four hours on me and felt hydrating over time. The formula has the same sweet, peachy scent as the original Gloss Bomb (no discernible taste to me).

Cupcakin'
Cupcakin’ is a medium-dark, pink-leaning coral with soft, warm undertones paired with a cream finish. The texture felt smooth, mostly non-sticky, and plush, but it was thick enough that a second layer did not feel comfortable (and the formula was designed to be buildable). It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but the color pulled into my lip lines and emphasized them, unfortunately. It stayed on well for four hours and felt hydrating while worn.

I bought this duo and love them…I hardly detect a scent, which is nice!
Even though that one very bright pink probably wouldn’t do me any favors, I like the colors. Unfortunately, the formula sounds like it’s beneath Fenty’s usually fantastic Gloss Bomb formula. Think I will pass.
Nancy if you decide to try the set you can pull off wearing the bright pink by adding a dark lip liner to your lips before applying to tone it down. We all can wear whatever color we want but some takes a little tweaking :))
This is very true, Shalonda. I do have a few lip pencils that would work out well for doing that.
Pretty Spring shades, especially Cupcakin’ – but the fomula lets it down.
Ooh man i really like both of these colors especially bubble binge for upcoming Summer!!
I wonder if it has anything to do with the type of pigments added to maybe increase the opacity is affecting her usual lovely formula. I still may pick these up…when you really think about it we wear our mask so much that I don’t think the minor formula flaws would be a deal breaker for me. Only time our lips (nose/mouth area) is exposed really occurs during meal time when our lip product usually waynes anyway.
