I like the brush and the luminizers – the pom-pom though is a miss. I can’t imagine how that is practical and I would feel like an idiot rubbing a cream colored pom pom on me.

Lovely as Rihanna looks, the first thing that occurred to me, was that people no longer want to look like people, but like idealized photos of people, the IG effect. What a beauty she is ! We women certainly contribute to the ‘value us as decorative’ mentality. I feel, ?seduced and abandoned, or vaguely targeted/manipulated by the industry. I do not live on the planet on which the social media-ized visions are relevant, (much less crucial, as it is with young people.). I think most of us makeup fiends really want to please ourselves, rather than SOs, bosses, etc. (But many want to please the camera!) Don’t get the idea that I disapprove of looking however you define ‘good.’ It’s that the ideal is presented as the norm. Perfection as the standard that is presented to young, young women who can get really fouled up, when they try and fail to achieve that perfection. (These products sound rather difficult to me, but if you can use them, go for it!).

Well put. Fenty keeps disappointing me, although I like Rihanna and would love to see a quality line from her. Most of the products need some tweaking to be worthy of the price.

The lipsticks seemed nice. I’m going to buy myself the green one for my birthday. I know there’s less product than you usually get for that price, but honestly, am I going to use up an entire tube of green lipstick? When I already have several green lipsticks? No.

Yes Nancy, I was wondering the exact same thing. If they are transfer-proof I’ll prob pick one up. If not, it’s an easy pass.

Is that all? Rose gold body luminous sounds interesting but should be no higher than $34 IMO. Never thought of using it on my legs( thanks Nancy) but they aren’t really looking good enough to highlight right now. Most likely a pass for me..

It’s a pass for me, but the pom pom brought back a nice childhood memory. My dear great grandmother would buy every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren a Christmas present every year even though she was on a very fixed income. One of the presents I remember was a bath powder that had a plush little powder puff to apply the powder. Maybe that was Rihanna’s thought too.

I think Rihanna looks beautiful but her hand creeps me out. Maybe too many horror movies but my eyes are drawn to that clawed hand, lol. I like a good body luminizer but $59 seems kinda steep. Hopefully it’s water and transfer proof for that price. Currently I use my old Urban Decay body brush and Guerlain Terracotta tan magnifier powder to add shine and light color to my body. I like Prtty Peaushun -Luminizing body lotion a lot still steep at $39 . Sally Hansen leg spray is good to cover my leg varicose veins. I do need a new liquid body luminizer for the summer though. Think I’ll keep an open mind on these products.

I think they photoshopped the heck out of her but couldn’t do her hand because of all the tattoos. It’s really off putting for me too.

OMG yes!!! Her hand is so distracting. The only reason I clicked the link was to get a better look of her picture. They photoshopped her entire body to perfection but left this wrinkling, large looking clawed hand there. What sucks is that I know they want her to look perfect because they want to sell her makeup line but when you compare her hand to the rest of the body it’s like you’ll obviously never look that good because even she doesn’t. It’d be cool to see her looking a little more “real” because on her own she is a beautiful woman

Hm…. seems like they are trying to move towards Tom Ford prices here… 59 usd for a shimmery bodylotion… unless it is made from pure gold that is a steep price for what u are getting if you ask me… And 42 for a Pom Pom sprinkled in a tiny amount of product??! It’s even more stupid than the Lancôme rose highlighter a few years back… It’s not even a new Idéa. Benefit made a shimmery and scented Pom Pom for the with a cat theme some 25 years ago…
I think Fenty should stick to a mid range pricing bracket, since they do not have neither the quality nor the brand name to play in the big leagues yet…

I’m glad to see FENTY beauty doing something like this for summer! At this price point I personally wouldn’t be purchase but this is very glowy summer loving kind of thing I like to see.
