Fall 2022 Sneak Peek: Dior & Guerlain Eyeshadow Palette + Charlotte Tilbury Cream Shadow Swatches
Guerlain Eyeshadow Quads released earlier this month, and I initially bought the three that were available at Sephora, but I bought three additional color stories, two of which arrived in time to be swatched. Dior released two new eyeshadow palettes, which were curiously priced at $44 a pop, for fall. Finally, Charlotte Tilbury debuted three new shades of cream eyeshadow, which may be more of a summer launch technically…
The things here that thrill me are probably dupes for shades I already have in abundance (which is why I should not be put in charge of designing an eyeshadow palette – it would all be variations on Sumptuous Olive, 24KT Stilettos, Chiffon, Jungle #4….basically very similar colours! I’m in such a happy rut (and I think there’s room for Genevieve here in this rut!).
Hola Mariella! I would LOVE such a quad that you have suggested – that would be perfect for me too.
Yabut, I’d end up with a 20 pan palette of ALL those sorts of colours – no contrast, no interesting or creative “other type” colours to work with; I’d probably be hard-pressed even to choose a highlight colour or too… But we’d have lots of fun in our rut, especially if we brought a pre-made palette or two (maybe Christine’s On the Horizon? And the original Naked?)
Mirror, Mirror and Mystic Peacock look sooo good! Until I do a double take and think to myself that can likely find the exact same shades here for both. But, perhaps I’m mistaken?
I’ve never been a huge fan of cream eye shadow, so while the CT shades are quite nice, I won’t be purchasing.
I don’t know where Guerlain had been hiding their eyeshadow game, but they’re baaaaack.
Most of these offerings have a more orangey red leaning than what I generally prefer (and the same would go for Mariella too) Mystic Peacock offers a lovely variation on the blue scale and I do like the CT products. I can, no doubt, dupe the shades that I like here. I think it’s lovely to see Guerlain back in action again, even if their quads are pricey.
I like the Dior Reflexion, but will wait for reviews.
