Best Products of the Week | Vol. 353

Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.

What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

  • Your skin tone/coloring:
  • What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
  • What was the hero product of the week for you?:
  • Any products you want to use next week?:

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?
I received a very nice compliment on this simple makeup look from a sales associate at Sephora:
• EYES: NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer; Viseart Liaison one-and-done look using the shade Fusion; UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Alkaline smudged on outer third of lower lash line; CoverGirl Clump Crusher Waterproof Mascara; and a combination of Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil and Precisely My Brow, both in Grey.
• FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Sand, Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Light Buff, MAC Blot Powder, and a sheer application of Clinique Cheek Pop in Rosy Pop
• LIPS: MAC Viva Glam II

What was the hero product of the week for you? UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Alkaline, which worked really well with Viseart Fusion.

Any products you want to use next week? I need to get back to the ColourPop Stone Cold Fox palette. I wasn’t happy with the looks I was getting, so I put it away and moved to other palettes. I need to experiment some more with it.

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I used ND’s Glam a few times this week and it is now so annoying that the shades don’t have names on them! I used one of the soft champagne shades over the lid, a soft grey on the lower lid and the darker brown next to the lash line. I just wish there was a mid tone brown shade (shimmer of course) in the palette. I paired it with Shiseido’s Sleeping Dragon lipstick.

What was the hero product of the week for you?: ND’s Glam

Any products you want to use next week?: Just more of my lipsticks.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Well, I think I may have talked myself out of getting PML Mothership X, at least for the time being after using Huda Beauty Rose Quartz palette yesterday!
Eyes: Started out using CP Sonic Bloom palette for my transition with Lunar Disco, then switched over to the Huda palette for the rest with Gratitude in the crease blended pretty far up and out, Aura to define and deepen crease, Mantra in a sharp winged outer V, into upper outer lashline and outer lower lashline, Blissful all over mobile lid, Mood Magic tearducts, back into CP Sonic Bloom for Verbena on lower lashline, UD 24/7 eyeliner in Goddess on lower lashline, followed up with all my usual black upper tightliner, winged liner and waterproof mascara.
Cheeks: Huda Beauty Glowing Bronzer in Tan Light, Ofra Covent Garden highlighter and Lethal Cosmetics Ornamental blush.
Lips: CONFUSION AHEAD! Started out with PML She’s Heaven, decided this was just too warm, so then I used some Fenty Spacesuit to cool it up a bit, still not satisfied, so I applied some MAC Heroine lipstick over that, looked much better, latter added MAC Viva Glam Rihanna II Lipglass, whew!

What was the hero product of the week for you?: MAC Heroine lipstick all week!

Any products you want to use next week?: Going to use some of the warmer shades in Huda Beauty Rose Quartz palette with MAC Relentlessly Red sometime this upcoming week.

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Peachy highlight with blue-green on the eyes. Copacetic Cosmetics Spelunking palette.

What was the hero product of the week for you? Two products: Makeup Forever Aqua Resist eye pencil in Lagoon, this eyeliner wears well for many hours, even with multiple bouts of torrential rain! La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+ Balm, use it on body and face, a little bit on areas that get dry, it’s gentle, very moisturizing and no breakouts.

Any products you want to use next week? Terra Moons shadows that arrived, Mu Cephei and Atomic Division. : )
