Estee Lauder Companies' 2010 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Estee Lauder Companies’ 2010 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
CONNECT. COMMUNICATE. CONQUER.
PREVENT BREAST CANCER ONE WOMAN AT A TIME.
THE PINK RIBBON. WEAR IT. SHARE IT.
This year’s BCA Campaign theme draws its inspiration from The Estée Lauder Companies’ heritage, which dates back to 1946 when Mrs. Estée Lauder’s “High-Touch” method of reaching consumers was “Telephone, Telegraph, Tell-A-Woman.” Evelyn Lauder’s approach to conquering breast cancer reinterprets this powerful messaging into a philanthropic mission for today’s modern and fast-paced culture. The campaign encourages women and men to Connect with everyone they know and Communicate the importance of breast health and early detection. Indeed, this is Mrs. Evelyn Lauder’s call-to-action to Conquer this disease once and for all.
From 1993 through October 2010, The BCA Campaign and its retail partners expect to have raised more than $45 million for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative, clinical and translational research and finding a cure in our lifetime.
You can follow @BCRFWorldPink on Twitter, too!

I’d like to know why EL couldn’t have donated some money and shed a little spotlight on ovarian cancer. Their month is September and their color is aqua, and so far I’ve only seen a couple of L’Oreal products that even acknowledges O/C awareness.
It’s disappointing to me as I have a friend who is really fighting a battle against this insidious disease.
I think awareness should be brought to both equally.
Hey TG,
I’m sorry to hear about your friend, and she’s in my thoughts as she goes through such a difficult time.
Thank you for the post….I lost both my grandmother and mother to breast cancer….This post is very informative; only hoping the participating products were ‘active links’.
Some are, some aren’t – not everything has launched yet!
I am sorry to hear about your grandmother and mother!
Thanks, Christine 🙂 Do you know for how long these products are available for sale?
Through October 🙂
TG I always buy a few from the L’oreal Hope launch. And I agree, I think awareness should be equal for both.
I am sorry to hear about your friend please know I am sending tons of hope, love, prayers and healing thoughts to her, and huge hugs for you as well.
It would be so helpful if you included a link to how to do breast self exams. They are key to early detection, especially for young women.
I’ll be doing more BCA coverage in October – this is just a round-up of Estee Lauder’s campaign.
With all the big bucks these cosmetics beauty brands are making , they should learn to make more donations! and why doesn’t MAC takes part ? making a lot of money but this brand is nowhere to be found when it comes to charity???
MAC has their own charity – MAC Viva Glam. Check out the MAC AIDS Fund. I believe they’ve raised over $100M for their cause.
