Essence Pure Nude Baked Blush ($5.99) just debuted with eight shades, and I was hoping that they appeared more washed out online than they would be in person, but the range is lacking in depth and nuance. This is one of those shade ranges that feels like it could have just been four or five shades as they looked more similar applied and nearly all in a pink-coral vein. Otherwise, the formula seemed nice enough so far! Here are swatches 🙂

You’re right Christine they really should have changed up the shades more in this collection. I like pinky/coral blushes but some mauves, orange and red would have been nice. I was surprised that Essence’s Pure Nude original blush showed up on me because it looked light tan in the pan.But I ended up enjoying the Nude blush so I thought I’d try one of the new colors. I got the Berry Cheeks one. Haven’t tried it yet.

Yes, I see what you mean Christine – they all pretty well look the same and not a lot of depth to some of them to cater for varied skintones.
There’s a couple there that I think would suit me – Pink Flush and Rosy Rosewood. Here’s hoping they come to Aus so that I can test them out in person…..

So disappointing. I wish there were some cool tones, like a lilac, red, and pink. These colors look so similar! Thanks for sharing swatches. I saw on Reddit that people were stating this formula is a dupe for the Clinique Cheek Pops.

I’m looking forward to trying Shimmery Rose. For many years my favorite blush was Afternoon Delight by Ulta brand, but about 10 years ago they discontinued that shade. I’ve never been able to find another like it. I’ve tried to replace it with Benefit’s Dandelion, but this Shimmery Rose looks like it may be a closer match.
