Does any lipstick/lipgloss last through a meal?

Does any lipstick/lipgloss last through a meal? Have you found any that do?

I’ve found that most really dark/deep lipsticks (reds, wines, etc.) will last through most meals intact for the most part.  I’ve had the best luck with Chanel, Cle de Peau, and Guerlain lipsticks.  Glosses that are really tacky like MAC Lipglass do better through meals for me.

Any Matte Lipsticks always make it, especially deep or brights like red or bright pink matte’s.
The new Dare to wear Lipglass in “Gimmie that” lasted. I almost felt like I was wearing MAC’s pro long wear lip color, but without it flaking or cracking. Plus once it did wear off it left a lovely pink stain. It is a pretty sticky dry lipgloss imo.

I used ULTA’s Shimmer Raisin today and it lasted through a meal and several drinks. My first ULTA brand product, and I’m impressed…plus, it was free!

I’ve found that most of my lipglosses and lipsticks last through a meal just fine … however, I don’t really eat with my lips, if that makes any sense at all. My lips are very sensitive and allergic and even foods that are too spicy will irritate them so I use my teeth to take food off of utensils mostly. It means my teeth clink against metal utensils more but it really saves my lips!

I wore Girl About Town to Disneyland earlier this year & it lasted 8 hours through eatin & drinking too . So the amplified formula I ‘m guessing ?

Lipgloss never that I know of but Lime Crime usually lasts all day through a meal unless you put gloss on top. Then it will come off.

Haha I always wipe my lipstick off before a meal! EXCEPT for when I’m wearing the covergirl outlast lipstick (the 2 piece one that comes with the liquid lipstick – looks like a gloss, and then the clear lipstick to go over it)! When I wanna wear a bright red lip at a meal, I wear that one and it DOES NOT MOVE.

Avon has just come out with a new long wearing gloss that’s supposed to last up to 8 hours…I’d be happy to have one that lasted more than 10 minutes!!

I have two of Avon’s new glosses. They don’t last 8 hours, more like 4 for me, but definitely hold up better than the average gloss.

No7 Stay Perfect Lip Lacquer by Boots is the longest lasting lip colour I have ever come across. It will last through practically anything

L’Oreal’s Infallible Gloss. I was surprised by this one. I bought it because of the color, not really expecting it to last very long, but it does. It lasts through lunch and doesn’t dry out my lips, which is very important. You only need a little and the texture is surprisingly smooth.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker! The best thing ever! It lasts for ages but I can remove it with almond or coconut oil. This lip marker is my favorite thing.Don’t need to refresh color during all the day or all the night party.

I can’t say I’ve ever found any lipsticks or lipglosses to last me through a meal, except for the proper long lasting ones like Max Factor Lipfinity, Mac Prolongwear and the likes. There are some lipsticks and lipglosses that last longer than others, and the new dazzle lipsticks and superglasses are pretty good, also the DTW lipglosses. But even those don’t last through a meal (for me).

Before applying lipstick/lipgloss, I use a touch of foundation on my lips and then I proceed to applying lipliner followed by the lipstick/lipgloss.

MAC pro longwear and Revlon Colorstay (the kind like the MAC PLW with the stain on one and the gloss on the other) but I NEVER use the gloss part. I use this kind of long-wearing lip color exclusively because I loathe feeling anything on my lips and I can’t stand any amount of transfer. I just want a lot of color. (picky much??) 🙂

I can’t wait for the MAC PRo Longwear Lip Cremes to come out because in a British magazine some make up artists said that they don’t budge at all for anything!

Definitely Chanel’s Rouge Double Intensite lasts me through Chinese and Mexican food! I have tried the Revlon one’s (they have pretty much the same packaging) but the Chanel 8hrs are worth the pretty penny because they don’t hurt, nor do they feel tight on your lips. I’m able to smile and they are velvety enough to wear by themselves without the gloss on the other end. My fave is Rose Agate, followed closely by Alexandrite and Ruby Lite, both beautiful blue reds. I just wish Chanel would make more colors in these! Good Housekeeping did a survey on 10 different companies long-wearing lip colors and Chanel’s won 1st place! I agree! My honey loves that they don’t leave stains or stickiness on his cheek and even made the comment that he likes the soft coco(no pun intended) scent of the lipcolor!
