Dior Tropiques (379) Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a brightened, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a creamy, glossy finish. It had mostly opaque coverage that pulled slightly into lip lines; the high-shine finish made it harder to notice from a normal viewing distance. On me, the color lasted for five hours and was hydrating while worn. Sephora Collection Pretty in Pink (23) (P, $14.00) is darker, cooler. Maybelline Rebellious Raspberry (110) (LE, $8.99) is darker, brighter. Revlon HD Strawberry Topaz (535) (P, $8.99) is darker, brighter, warmer. Dior Rieuse (373) (P, $35.00) is lighter, warmer. Dior Wonderland (575) (P, $35.00) is darker, brighter. Dior Magique (479) (P, $35.00) is lighter. Chanel Sonate (178) (P, $29.50) is less pigmented. MAC Drawn in Chic (LE, $15.00) is warmer. Marc Jacobs Beauty Paint It (202) (P, $28.00) is warmer. MAC Star Quality (LE, $20.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Dior Ciel Rose (449) Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy pink with warm undertones and a creamy, high-shine finish. It had fairly opaque coverage, but this one did pull into lip lines a little more noticeably than Tropiques. The color stayed on well for five hours and was moisturizing over time. Marc Jacobs Beauty Fame (206) (P, $28.00) is darker. Marc Jacobs Beauty Fame (206) (P, $28.00) is darker. NARS Corsica (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery, darker, cooler. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Dior Plaisir (779) Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a brightened, medium fuchsia with subtle, warm undertones and a creamy, glossy finish. It had nearly full color coverage that went on evenly and tended to smooth out lip lines, rather than pull into them like the other two shades. The gloss lasted for almost six hours and was comfortable to wear as it was hydrating over time. MAC Hopelessly Devoted (LE, $20.00) is lighter. Giorgio Armani #523 (P, $29.00) is darker, more muted. MAC Impassioned (LE, $15.00) is darker. Burberry Oxblood No. 23 (P, $29.00) is lighter, more muted, less pigmented. Dior Mona Lisette (872) (LE, $35.00) is warmer. MAC Pleasant (LE, $20.00) is less glossy. Dior Darling (775) (P, $35.00) is lighter, more muted. Urban Decay Big Bang (P, $22.00) is more shimmery, darker, cooler. Revlon HD Pink Ruby (515) (P, $8.99) is more shimmery, cooler.See comparison swatches/ compare dupes side-by-side.

Formula Summary: It is supposed to be a formula that has the effect of “shiny gloss and pigmented lipstick into one color-rich product.” It is touted as long-wearing, lightweight, and has coverage “that is between a gloss and lipstick.” They have a very creamy, slightly gel-like consistency that’s light-medium in thickness, an ultra-glossy finish, and good color coverage. The texture is non-sticky initially, but it develops moderate tackiness within a few minutes of wear. The major issue I had with this formula was that it was very prone to getting on my teeth, and there’s a fine line between even coverage and over-application. It’s comfortable to wear and fairly hydrating over time. It had a perfume-y scent that is stronger during application than it is worn, and occasionally, I tasted soap.

I love how pretty those looked on you. They have an absolutely lovely finish too. I only pulled the trigger on one of them so far (In mirage I think, it’s a nude coral shade) and I love it for a quick pulled together look with minimum effort. To me they’re like a gloss and a nice smooth lipstick came together in one little tube. Love them even with the crazy price tag. lol I should really get a few more before the summer is over but I still have to pick some shades first.

Ok.Thanks .Maybe I’ll try one of these before I try a second of the other formula. I can see how this is more opaaque.so pretty. As. Far as the scent, the other one, it doesn’t bother me because it’s just weak enough. I just have to try it. Luckily , the Sephora near me actually has these and the others!

I just went back and read all your reviews for the Revlon HD Laquers. Usually I prefer the quality of a high end product. I’d rather have one exceptional product than several pretty good products. That being said, how do the performance of these two products compare? I don’t want to spend $35 on something that Revlon does just as well for $10.

I picked up one of these on a whim quite a while ago & was surprised how much I loved it. If I ever find it again, I will definitely be wearing it! 🙂

Yes, they have a gel-like formula, kind of a cooling sensation without any nasty mint oil in there. It almost felt like I was applying water to my lips. Difficult to explain 🙂 Love the pigmentation, wear time, the fact that they don’t settle into my lip lines and nearly everything else about them, including the fact that they kind of dry down (get tacky, as you said) without drying out my lips because I can then easily layer something over top without disturbing the original application. But I *cannot* stand the smell. I really detest heavily fragranced face or body products, especially lipsticks. I might as well be licking the spritzers on my perfume bottles. That taste of soap has to be from the nasty fragrance they insisted on using in these. Never a good thing. Which is exactly why I’ve put off buying more of these. Get rid of that smell/taste, Dior and I’d be checking out many more shades. Prime example of a company which is FAR behind the times.

Hi Christine! I love your blog beyond words, it has helped me with so many purchases over the years you wouldn’t even believe. One thing I have to admit that I’ve been too embarrased to admit even after all this time is I’m never sure what the second picture is of the lip swatch – is it the first is with flash and the second is without? Or is one when first applied and the other after a certain amount of time? I’m sure I should know this already, but I don’t!!! Thanks! And love the 379 and 449 on you. – Francine
