Dior Rouge Saga Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Rouge Saga (683)
Dior Rouge Saga (683) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a very copper-leaning color story released as a limited edition palette for the autumnal season. The quality was decent but not as good as Dior has been in the past, as a few shades seemed to have a firmer/stiffer press to them.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and comfortable texture" that is long-wearing and has "intense color" (or "high-pigment"). There are five finishes that can be found within various palettes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, highlighter, and glitter, though there aren't specific descriptions by finish, unfortunately.
There were a few shades that seemed more sparkly and were sheerer, more like layering shades, while the other finishes tended to be pigmented. In general, the texture was moderately dense with the matte shades being slightly thinner and a smidgen powdery in the pan compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades.
Aside from those more sparkly shades, the formula was blendable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted an average of eight hours on me (without a primer).

UGH – shades of ABH Modern Renaissance and that very red toned quad from Chanel a few years ago.
I know, I know – pretty darn awful their quints this year. What a let down.
This is right up my alley. I’ll check it.
If I didn’t already have ABH Modern Renaissance (although mine is nearly ancient by this point!), I may have gone in for this. It’s quite pretty, but also just a little bit dated? Like; 2016-18 much?
Ugh, and double ugh! I hope orange hits the dust soon!
I have not been happy with the quality of Dior shadows since returning to makeup. I use to buy at least one palette from every release. I will easily skip this palette. The color story has been done to death and better in drugstore brands. I don’t need anymore red/copper shadows.
Another red orangey palette in the market place and not even a good quality one at that. Dior’s latest is not their greatest.
This is not for me, but I think it would be very beautiful and deep skin tones. Kudos to Dior for making their make up more inclusive.
