According to Dior, this holiday’s limited edition highlighter is supposed to give a “natural glow.” The powder is very soft and finely-milled, to the point that it gets powdery and the shimmer doesn’t seem as well-integrated with the base. I was worried about how this would apply after I had swatched it, but it seemed to go on quite nicely and didn’t look powdery or dry on the skin (though I have normal skin at the moment). It also produced a noticeable sheen–far greater than the swatch would have you anticipating!–that didn’t emphasize pores. The powder blended well over the skin, and it wore well for seven and a half hours before fading. Worth repeating, but this is very, very similar to Cosmopolite while the holiday iteration just reads more shimmery when applied to the face.

That’s one major reason I’m not getting it, for that $$$’s, I’d much rather get the Guerlain Meteorites Perles de Neiges! Besides, WnW Reserve Your Cabana is a super close looking dupe.

So pretty but awfully pricey. I remember when I thought the Kevyn Aucoin highlighter shown in the Dupes List was pricey (granted, it’s about half the amount) but this is really pricey. Nice looking packaging but still a bit too pricey for my liking.

For $82, I can’t say I’m that excited about this, although at least it’s an improvement over last year’s holiday highlighter from Dior. There are just so many good highlighters out there these days!

At first sight I thought it looked similar to MAC’s Soft and Gentle on your cheeks but looking closer at the swatches I see that Soft and Gentle is slightly warmer. Looking at the dupes, amazing there’s $24 difference between this and Dior’s Cosmopolité Nude and yet they look very similar, although the latter is a little bit less glowy than this.

Wow, the packaging and color is very pretty ! I would be tempted, but too bad it has fragrance, my face can’t take it. I was wondering if you were going to review the Dior Mono Fusion cream shadow in Blazing that was part of this collection?

Because I feel as if I hit the jackpot with WnW Reserve Your Cabana, I don’t feel that I really need this one, or most other similar products. Ever since I bought that one immediately upon reading your review of it, I use it EVERY day as my finishing powder, and it looks divine!

For half the cost and a full letter grade better in quality, I’d definitely choose KA Candlelight over this. What a day, when I think $44 dollars for a highlighter is the cheaper option, even when you consider that KA is .11 oz when it used to be .17 for the same cost!

The packaging is nice. Reminds me of an old fashioned pocket watch, but $82? The folks at Dior are losing their minds!

And I just have to second the emotion that Kevyn Aucoin’s Candlelight is amazing. I balked at the price tag too, but it is a gorgeous highlighter. I’ve had it almost year and have barely made a dent in it. A truly sound investment. Well, it terms of makeup!
