Dior Hologlam Rouge Blush Review & Swatches (2021)
Hologlam (601)
Dior Hologlam (601) Rouge Blush ($46.00 for 0.23 oz.) has a light-medium, peachy-coral base with flecks of iridescent pink and violet sparkle throughout a more satin-like finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out readily.
On my skin tone, the color came through subtly, but the shimmer/sheen was more noticeable as it contrasted against the base color and my skin tone. It seemed a touch drier and a little more powdery than the original release but the effect and color were quite similar once on my skin. This shade lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have a "silky" and "lightweight" texture that's long-wearing and have "buildable" intensity. The blushes had a smooth, lightweight consistency that was finely-milled, though not as silky as I would have expected, without being too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan.
The majority of the shades I tested had medium, buildable pigmentation that was hard to over-do but could definitely be intensified for higher coverage if desired. They applied evenly and blended out without issue, and they seemed to sit well on my skin with a semi-matte finish or higher. The more shimmery shades were still more low-level and had a sheen rather than overt shimmer that yielded a more metallic finish.
On my skin, most of the hues I trialed lasted eight hours before showing signs of fading. There was a soft, floral scent to the powders.

A very nice subtle blush. I actually like the shade which I didn’t think I would, just looking at it in the pan. I have to be very careful with blush because I am so fair skinned and it can go “clownish” on me in a hurry. My daughter actually let me go out of the house one day with much too bright and heavy a blush application. When I got home and looked in a mirror with good lighting, I was appalled. I asked her why she didn’t say anything and she told me that she thought maybe I wanted it that way! As if….. Reference to a movie there!
I really need to nab it this time around! Missed it that first run, but still love the ethereal glow of it once applied. On me, I believe it will prove to be more of a highlighting blush topper.
Thought I was going to want this badly, but I don’t. Yay.
Hi Christine and everyone,
I saw this blush from the beginning and I thought oh nice could be good with rosacea cheeks, I am a blonde and very fair skin. My question is does it make pores appear bigger and do the sparkles really show? Thanks so much for all the pictures, it helps really a lot. Everything on today’s blog is pretty amazing. I was debating the Dior eyeshadows … might look good with green eyes! Thank you all!!!!!
Warmest Regards,
Joanne that Canadian lol
No, definitely didn’t emphasize my skin texture! The sparkles/shift does show 🙂
Thanks so much Christine, that helps 100% in making a decision. Warmest Regards, Joanne
This was already on my WL 😀 Can it be from the previous release? Anyway, I’m not so sure about really wanting it, I’m not much for a lot of sparkliness, but then it would look lovely in indoor lighting, but not in the harsh cold light of winter.
I hope I’ll have some time to decide, but if it’s gone when/if I decide I want it, I’ll not cry.
