Dior Golden Nights Collection is the brand’s holiday collection, which just debuted this week. Here are swatches of several products from the new launch (there are two more lipsticks available that I don’t have).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Again, with what you learn about your makeup self here. If ‘blackened’ anything looks exactly the same as the next ‘blackened’ shade…say green versus cranberry…there is zero point in that cool palette for me. I am dying to see what Christine does with it, as I hope she will. Regardless of my personal issues, i do think that 3 blacks/off blacks out of 5 is a bit much for anyone except Elvira.

…or as Los Bravos famously sang back in the 60’s, “black is black”. I love the embossed snowflakes and I’m curiously drawn to the cranberry shade (even though I’m struggling with those sorts of shades on my eyes) and the whole palette is really “crave-able” for me but, as kjh said, when you know yourself and your makeup preferences, all those black in one place isn’t really sensible. But still, it looks so wintery night magical. And Golden Snow – soooo pretty (though we do have a saying here in Janie Canuck Land about yellow snow!) but I’m hoping I’m duped out for that one!

The Black Night palette is probably too dark for me. I would need to find a softer look so I don’t look bruised or combine the shades with other palettes. I have also read that the amount of product for this release is much smaller than the normal ones. What may stop me is that. Tough to pay $75 for a reduced amount of product and a snowflake pattern.

The Golden Snow one may work better for a more elegant look.

The lipsticks are pretty and I like the pink blush.

I really like the Golden Snow Palette a lot! Very pretty shades….that I probably can dupe without a problem? I don’t know that it’s either unique enough or spectacular enough, though. I’ll wait for your review on that.
I’m not exactly blown away by the two lipsticks. Not unless that deep, rich Dark Sparkle reviews better than it photographs!

Dior has been particularly busy lately, bringing out lots of excellent products and the above look to be pretty good as well.
I think the Black Nights quint has far too many black shades, with not enough differentiation between the colours, but the Golden Snow palette is full of my kind of shades.

I had been fairly enthusiastic for these, but the more I look at them, the more I see how I can dupe them with what I have – including the Dior Jungle palette for the lighter holiday palette. Not quite the same, but close enough. The other thing is that as I understand it, the holiday palettes have something like 4 oz. of product to the regular quints’ 7 oz., but at the same price. Christine could confirm, this is just what I learned from a YT review. But if that’s right, even if I was never going to hit pan on these, it still feels tricksy.
