Dior Fall 2011 Collection: Blue Tie
Dior Fall 2011 Collection: Blue Tie
“Navy blue is the only color which can ever compete with black,” said Christian Dior. Dior’s new Blue Tie Fall Color Collection features shades of deep marine, luminous petrol blue and sky blue tones delicately highlighted by touches of white to create a sophisticated, unexpected version of the smoky eye. Lips create the perfect complement in a range of luminous pinks and rosy beiges with a touch of light-reflecting gloss and nails catch the eye in dark blue and beige. The ultimate effect is a playful mix of masculine and feminine codes, a refreshing, modern take on the nighttime beauty look, inspired by a woman dressed in the tailored elegance of a tuxedo.

The lipsticks are lovely but I don’t think I’ll be partaking in this collection~. MAYBE if they were Dior Addict…MAYBE.
blue is such an IT color of the season, chanel also release Lagoons eyeshadow celebrating the translucent color of blue, btw will you do a review on that chanel quad and which color of lippie will you recommand to pair it with? Will it match with orangy lip??
Love the nail polish 😀 & I’m so in love with blue eyeshadow 😀 so excited!!! Can’t wait for your reviews!
Not crazy about this at all. There doesn’t seem to be much of a story or theme here, and it doesn’t really tie together. There photography isn’t too exciting either- they should take a hint from MAC! I’m kind of disappointed because I was really looking forward to Dior’s next collection. 🙁 Maybe it will grow on me…?
I totally agree with you! I always look forward seeing what Dior comes up with but this is just boring. The colors are boring and don’t get me started on how tacky blue eyeshadows can look!
YAY!!! I’m really excited to see the collection. *waiting patiently for swatches* lol
Wow, Karlie Kloss sure looks like Diane Lane in this picture, doesn’t she?
I’m curious about those eyeliner patches…
Me too! They have a cheapie version of the same idea around Halloween in drugstores, but they never fit right. I’d be intrugued to see a high-end take on this!
Nope. Boring.
As a loyal Dior mu fan I’m underwhelmed. There is a part of me that misses the days of early 00’s and all the crazy stuff. Bring back the green sparkly lipgloss. Does anyone remember hair mascara from the 90’s? Bright lime green eyeshadow shade in a quint? Lipgloss packaged in a military dog tag? Okay, those don’t scream class & sophistication but it was playful & fun. And now I’m getting an “eyeliner patch” to amuse myself? I dunno…
(P.S. I’d also gladly take pre-reformulated Addict Shine in 222. It was perfection.)
The lip colors look so pretty!
I never really get into Dior collections for some reason. This one doesn’t really do it for me either, but…eyeliner patches? It sounds gimmicky but I still want to see how they work, just for fun!
So excited to see more of the nail colors. Dior’s brush is amazing and their formula has always worked for me. Can’t wait to pick up a nice blue from this collection!
The blue eyeshadow palette reminds me of Nars Cleo
Those eyeliner patches sound stupid, and way too gimmicky for something that’s coming from Dior. I’m passing on this, I don’t even like the nail colors.
Where are Karlie’s pretty moles? D:
I probably won’t be buying anything from this actual collection, but I do appreciate the ad. As someone with blue eyes and fair skin, it gives me hope to be able to wear blue(ish) eyeshadow. Would love to take some colors I already have (or ones I don’t, but are cheaper) and re-create this look for a night out.
wauw….me want
Fyi ~ Safari Beige (219) nail enamel is a repromote of Nude Chic (219) nail enamel from the spring 2009 collection.
Do you have pics of the blushes? Will you be doing a review/ swatches on this collection? Xoxo
The 839 blush is the same one as released in spring 2010 but without the lace pattern
