Dior Addict Mauve Accent (886) Ultra Gloss Review, Photos, Swatches

Dior #886 Ultra Gloss

Dior Addict Mauve Accent (886) Ultra Gloss ($26.50 for 0.21 fl. oz.) is a plummy raspberry pink that applies sheerly but gives a little darkened pink pop to lips along with plenty o’ sparkle.

I bought this one on a whim on my second Sephora order, and of course, had to share photos and swatches with all of you! I reviewed Ultra Gloss earlier this week, so check that out for a full review of the formula and all that. 🙂

Recommendation: If love sheer, non-sticky lipgloss, Dior Ultra Gloss is exactly that. And if you don’t mind reapplying every two hours or so, I think you’d really like these.

I pretty much agree with Christine’s review of these. I work in the cosmetics apartment, so I was excited to try them when they came out. Unfortunately, after trying them, I really didn’t think they were anything to pay $24 for. Also, a note for girls with more pigmented lips: my friend tried this color on yesterday at work — she’s black, so she’s got very pigmented lips — and the glitter shows up SO MUCH MORE on her, to the point that it looked kind of ridiculous. I’m the queen of all things sparkly, and even I recognized that it was too much for her. The glitter is very small (not gritty) and there’s a lot in there, so if you give it a dark background, it’s going to be a lot more prominent than it might be on uber-pale chicks like me, or nice mid-toned girls like Christine.

ugh GORGEOUS! i love sheer plum glosses and lippies. philosophy has a lip balm that looks so dark in the tube, but applies as a translucent tint of deep berry. i ran out and need to pick another one up!

These are great glosses. In my opinion these are better than MAC’s Dazzleglasses as they don’t feel like you have a thick layer of ‘GOOP’on your lips and there are definitely non-sticky. I have two 566 and 732. One a bright pink and the other a coral. Both look fabulous on pigmented lips and NC43 skin.

It is true they wear off after about an hour and a half – but honestly girls, we go to the restroom at least every 1.5-2 hours to touch up anyways.

Worth checking out.

P.S. Really chic packaging 🙂
