Cult Nails Spring Radiance Collection
Cult Nails Spring Radiance Collection

Cult Nails Radiance Collection includes three, limited edition shades. They can be purchased individually for $12.00 each, or you can use code TEMPTALIA12 to buy all three for $24. Alluring and Radiance were both nice shades that were easy to apply and had great end results, but Thrive’s thick consistency made it difficult to work with. It was the shade I was most excited about (personally–I love all things mint green at the moment), and as pretty as it can be, it requires a lot of effort and patience.

Cult Nails Alluring Nail Lacquer is described as a “mauve, leaning neutral, with the most subtle green shimmer.” It’s a muted, medium pink with neutral-to-warm undertones and a cream finish. It was totally opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin. The formula went on beautifully and dried down to a high-shine finish (without a top coat!). Zoya Rue (P, $9.00) is lighter. Zoya Brigitte (P, $9.00) is similar. Illamasqua Pink Raindrops (LE, $17.00) is sparkly. Rescue Beauty Lounge Plie (LE, $20.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Cult Nails Radiance Nail Lacquer is described as a “one coat, purple-berry.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark raspberry magenta with a cream finish. As described, it was intensely pigmented in a single coat, and the consistency was just slightly thick, which worked for one-coat application, as it gave it that plush, glossy finish that two coats often yields. MAC Embrace Me (LE, $16.00) is brighter, pinker. Zoya Areej (P, $9.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Cult Nails Thrive Nail Lacquer ($12.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “slightly textured mint pastel green.” It’s a brightened, mint green with iridescent green-teal shimmer and pearl. It dries down to a semi-matte finish–there’s a slight sheen, but there is a subtle sparkly texture to it without a top coat. The consistency was very thick, unfortunately, and it seems almost sticky as I applied it. It had mostly opaque color after two coats, but it didn’t apply evenly. Rescue Beauty Lounge Liberty (LE, $20.00) is greener, warmer, darker. Essie First Timer (P, $8.00) is brighter, cooler-toned, cream. Illamasqua Mottle (LE, $17.00) has black sparkle/glitter. Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom (LE, $20.00) is bluer, less shimmery. China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On (LE, $7.50) is lighter, cream. Butter London Fiver (P, $15.00) is much lighter, brighter, cream. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Sooo prettttyy! I probably have five shades that are super similar to Alluring but Im likely to buy Alluring too lol. Shades like that are just so versatile and sweet! I’m envying your non-raggedy cuticles as well. I think I went a bit overboard with trimming mine and they just look horrid now:( Oh well. thanks for the swatches Christine!

Thrive looks so pretty and unique on the brush, it’s a shame it didn’t translate well on the nail. The other two look very nice.

I feel like Cult Nails is still working out the kinks in its formulas. When I order from them, I never know if I’m going to get one of the too-thick bottles, one of the too-thin bottles, or one that is just right.

I think OPI Dim Sum Plum might be a dupe for Radiance. I had a couple pedicures with that shade and finally caved and bought it on Amazon. I just love bright plum/berry colors! <3

When I applied Alluring, I could see the shimmer. Too bad it didn’t show up in the photos! I agree, Thrive is quite thick, and I wish it wasn’t textured.

Yes!!!! So glad mine wasn’t the only terrible bottle of thrive! I asked them about it and got brushed off….tried adding thinner and it still didn’t improve much.

Had a similar issue with spontaneous, but they were great about fixing it….guess quality starts going down hill the bigger a company gets 🙁

It’s so gorgeous though.
