ColourPop You're a Catch Super Shock Highlighter Review & Swatches
You're a Catch
ColourPop You’re a Catch Super Shock Cheek (Highlighter) ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a light, golden beige with warm undertones and subtle, pink shimmer throughout. It a glance, it sometimes looked almost cool-toned when the light hit it due to the pink shimmer in it. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer when applied with fingertips and more medium, buildable coverage applied with a brush, though it could be diffused for sheerer coverage if preferred.
The texture was smooth to the touch, emollient without being overly wet, but it had that cream-to-powder formula that felt more powder-like as soon as the product came into contact with my skin. It applied evenly to bare skin as well as over foundation. It wore well for nine and a half hours before fading slightly.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.15 oz. - $66.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush.
It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day.
On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

Well, that is beautiful and blinding. LOVE.
Right? ????
Worn on the cheeks, this is truly MIND BLOWING. As in, I believe I need this. The slight pinkishness makes this beige highlighter quite unique from anything I have or ever have had.
This is very pretty. I would be concerned about it drying out.
Apparently these don’t dry out, only the super shock eyeshadows do? According to Colourpop anyway! I have one of their older super shock highlighter palettes (it’s called Crush on You from Fall 2018) and it works just fine, I haven’t noticed ANY changes in appearance like you normally get when creams dry out (shrinkage, cracking, etc.)
Fantastic value for the price. Such a pretty, flattering shade.
This highlighter is so pretty! Would you say it’s as glittery as the Maleficent one (Mistress of All Evil)? I like how reflective that one is, but I’m not the biggest fan of the finish!
This is definitely a smoother, more metallic shine!
Well, this is a situation in which I have to scold myself as if I was a dog who has just been caught ripping up a magazine… “Seraphine, NO! Drop it! NO!” …and then repeat my 2020 mantra, “I will not buy makeup, I will not buy makeup, I will not buy makeup…” (But it’s so pretty.)
Wow, this one is really, really beautiful.
Sooo pretty. Iām excited to purchase after your positive review- thank you š
