Here are swatches of the ColourPop x Mulan Collection, which launches March 19th at 10AM PT. The collection includes a palette, two blushes, and three lip products. Per the back of the palette, one shade (Be Swift) is marked as not for use around the eyes (I believe it’s a Pressed Glitter).

Here is a higher-res version of the ingredients. Looking at this, and assuming my eyes didn’t cross while reading it, “Like a Girl” (along with Brave and Legacy) have PET glitter in the ingredient list. Strike a Match and Loyal contained polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT, which I’m less familiar with but know it was part of the study done by CIR when looking at glitter.

This is a collection where I definitely like the packaging and presentation more than the actual products themselves, at least when it comes to colour, only because I have so many of these colours. I think the blushes are nice, but probably really brown on my complexion. I’ll most likely be picking up a couple of things for collection purposes; a bonus is that they are wearable.

I’d love to hear a color specialist analyze this one, because I cannot express it. the mattes seem to have the same saturation and value. This sounds stupid, but it’s if every aspect of the mattes is the same, except the actual color. No change in depth, brightness, etc. I suspect that aspect will make this palette very polarizing. Swatches fairly nicely and pretty cohesive.

This is the most beautiful packaging I have ever seen from Colour Pop. The color story is very suiting for Mulan, but not personally something I would wear. The bullet lipstick is my perfect nude lip so I will probably pick that one up. May I ask what is in that little jar with the red comb on the lid? That packaging is beyond gorgerous.

The packaging is stunning (like a lot of the old Too Faced’s were), but the products themselves are worrying. CP is intent on using ingredients that are either not eye safe or they are dodgy in some way. I think they are getting lazy with the formulas – just mattes and glitzy shimmers. A few of the shades are fairly similar to each other as well. I hope the lipstick is really nice.

Hmmm, I am on the fence about this. I just ordered the “so jaded” and a couple lipsticks and the year of the ‘rat highlighter” I really like the bullet lipstick and the liquid one here. I might have to pick that up. The look you made with the pallette is nice. But I think I have dupes for my favorite, but I really like the look of “Imperial ” and the formula almost looks creamy. But they have a large nude pallette out for like 39 dollars and them a 12 dollar smaller “nude mood” I believe. I was thinking about just getting the larger nude pallette and hope that it covers the smaller one and hopefully “Imperial” . I will have to look around on here and see what the swatched look like and what’s comparable. Maybe if they still have this pallette when it goes on sale i MIGHT pick one up, but until then, i dont know. I do not like the pigment and glitter “do not use around eyes” that companies are putting out now. At this point you would think they would know what’s really safe and a consistent formula vs using questionable ingredients.

It looks like a former palette but warmer? The blushes are almost identical. At least three shades contain plastic glitter. I wonder how similar the lipstick is to their shade other Disney nudes. This is a big disappointment for me. It should have been a 9-pan for how basic it is (with a pop of red.) I guess with that and the controversy, it’s an easy pass.

Christine, what is the small round container in the box with face milk? I can’t figure it out and don’t see it listed. Red is my favourite colour (despite my dislike of red eyeshadow) so I find the packaging eye-catching but that’s about it for me!

I’m not into the packaging or the swatches. The blushes look like they might be nice though.

I realize it’s a totally different price point, but if people are interested in this palette, they might really prefer if they spent the money for Pat McGrath Golden Opulence. I feel that the color scheme is reminiscent, but sans glitter. This seems like a mashup of Golden Opulence with the all-matte ColourPop Becky G Hola Chola palette.
