ColourPop x Malibu Barbie Collection is a new, limited edition collaboration to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Malibu Barbie. The collection launches May 13th at 10AM PT. It includes three lipstick/lip liner duos, one cream-to-powder highlighter, and one eyeshadow palette, which are swatched here. There is also a set of false lashes and a hand mirror that will be available.

Light Plus, Neutral undertones. Normal-to-Dry skin.

Initially I thought the lip colors might be interesting, but they look SO dry and don’t smooth anything out so I know they wouldn’t work for me. The packaging looks super cheap, like little plastic things you’d see at the dollar store, so that is another strike against wanting these. I like Barbie and these colors scream Barbie to me – although I don’t see the purple shade I also associate with Barbie’s shadow.

Holy cow, Colourpop really pumps products out!
This line definitely represents the Malibu Barbie of my childhood, but I could not pull off any of those colors! :).

This certainly fits in with the “Barbie” image. I like the more neutral eyeshadows – Cali Girl, Come On and Shine On and possibly 1971. The Beach Party highlighter also looks pretty but except for Malibu Sunset, the lipsticks look dry.

I would just like the super shocks properly restocked and back please! Could you picture if they did one of those big packs of the original shades? Or re-released the summer six pack that had high tide and shark attack in it???

This definitely screams barbie! I was completely obsessed with Barbie when I was growing up in the late 80s, early 90s so im loving this collaboration. Im probably going to grab several things but I have to have the palette

The palette is very cute and is very Malibu Barbie , but I’m afraid I already have a lot of the colors . The lipsticks I think need a hot pink though.
