ColourPop x Halo Top Birthday Cake Super Shock Pigment Duo Review & Swatches
Birthday Cake
ColourPop Birthday Cake Super Shock Pigment Duo ($12.00 for 0.14 oz.) includes a glittery, yellow-peach and pale, white gold. Both shades were more sparkly, but they weren’t prone to fallout during application or later on while worn. They weren’t as pigmented as expected, based on the Super Shock formula, but they were blendable and fairly easy to use.
Both shades are listed as Pigments, which are typically “not intended for the immediate eye area,” but I didn’t see that warning on either shade (on the physical product nor on the website under each shade’s ingredient list).

By the Pound
By the Pound is a bright, yellowed peach base with flecks of multi-colored micro-glitter and flecks of sparkle. It had medium coverage with a smooth, moderately emollient texture that was lightweight, thin, and spread easily across my lid. The only trouble I had with it was that it wasn’t buildable, so it worked better as a wash of color, applied to the inner tearduct area, or layered on top of another product. It wore well for 10 hours with a smidgen of fallout but no fading or creasing.

Extra Sprinkles
Extra Sprinkles is a white gold with flecks of pale gold and silver sparkle. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was smooth, spongy to the touch, and had enough slip that it was blendable and easy to work with, but it was quick to transform to a more powder-like finish when it was applied to my skin. It stayed on well for 10 hours with a touch of fallout but didn’t crease or fade during that time.

I really loved Extra Sprinkles, I think it would be a beautiful wash over any shade.
Because I’d be using these more as topper or inner corner highlight, I really love that they either apply sheerer or can be easily sheered out. I personally love both shades!
By the Pound is pretty, but I’m not digging how sheer these are.
