ColourPop Waffle Highlighter Trio Review, Photos, Swatches
Waffle
ColourPop Waffle Highlighter Trio ($22.00 for 0.45 oz.) includes three highlighters–two are totally new, one is a repromote–housed in a paper sleeve but each is individually packaged (just like any of the standalone highlighters). You can also purchase any of the included shades individually for $8 a pop. I’m a big fan of ColourPop’s highlighters, as they are particularly long-wearing and very blendable on the skin.

Scrumptious
Scrumptious is a light pink with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It produced a strong sheen on the skin but wasn’t frosted or overtly shimmery, perhaps due to the more cream-based formula. On me, this shade tended to lighten the skin a bit more noticeably. It had medium, buildable coverage depending on whether you used a brush or fingertips to apply. The highlighter stayed on well for ten hours.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.15 oz. - $53.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush. It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day. On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

Glazed
Glazed is a soft, very light gold with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had medium coverage when I applied it with a brush and semi-opaque coverage when I applied it with fingertips. The consistency was smooth, blendable, and thin without feeling too wet or too dry. It sat well on my skin and did not emphasize my skin’s texture. This shade wore well for nine and a half hours before fading.

Flexitarian
Flexitarian is a pale, light gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic, sparkling sheen. There were more noticeable sparkles on the skin than most of the brand’s highlighters, but it did not read glittery to me, as they were still finer and sparsely included. The consistency was smooth, blendable, and sat well on the skin. It had medium coverage applied with a brush and more opaque coverage applied with fingertips (as described). It wore well for ten hours on me. Mine appeared “broken” upon arrival, but as these are a spongy product (not powder), it can be squished back in, and mine did not seem any drier compared to the other two I received in the trio.

Wow, pretty!
Agreed! 🙂
These are scrumptious! So even though I’m a few shades darker than you, I may still get this trio! True, it may look a tad OTT on me, but I just love that brightening glow. I do have and use Lunch Money and also e.l.f. Gotta Glow, so I am prone to wearing some very glowy and light highlights.
Haha! 😉 They are very nice.
These look like they’d be versatile as eyeshadows as well as face highlighters.
They are very brightening shades!
Oddly enough I really like flexitarian.
It’s a cool one!
Scrumptious is amazing! I definitely would jump on the whole Colourpop bandwagon if I didn’t have too many highlighters and beauty products to finish! Next time I’m on the hunt for a new highlighter, I’ll definitely be on a lookout for this brand!
Totally understand — there are SO many highlighters now!
These are reeeaaally nice. I’m into all three. I toootally don’t need them…. but there’s an eyeshadow pan or two I could throw into my order to make it to free shipping…
I like all three, but I think Flexitarian is the winner.
Flexitarian isn’t your typical gold!
Wow. There are so many highlighters out there, it’s hard to sort through them. But these shades look amazing on your face. I have a few…from wet n wild to becca, and price wise the color pop seems to be a great deal. Could be worth trying.
Highlighter overload, lol!
Wow! These look extraordinary.
I’m a bit late to this particular party, but wow! These are lovely, and they look like they’ll compliment the other items I have/want to order. May have to grab these in my next CP haul.
Out of curiosity, what brush/type of brush do you use to apply ColourPop’s highlighters?
