ColourPop Statement Piece Palette Review & Swatches
Statement Piece
ColourPop Statement Piece 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a coral-themed palette with three matte shades and two shimmer shades. All five shades had semi-opaque to higher coverage, were blendable, and lasted for eight hours or so.

Diamond Cut
Diamond Cut is a medium peach with warmer, more orange undertones and a metallic sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage, but the texture was drier and felt more loosely-pressed in the pan, which resulted in some fallout during application. I’d recommend applying this shade with a fingertip or a dampened brush to manage that fallout. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Blair
Blair is a brighter, medium-dark coral-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It appeared pinker in the pan than it did swatched. The texture felt slightly dry and powdery, though it had opaque color coverage and blended out just fine in practice. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Love Lock
Love Lock is a medium-dark, pink-coral with warmer, golden sparkle throughout. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin. The texture was a smidgen dry but picked up evenly with a brush and wasn’t prone to fallout. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Chain Mail
Chain Mail is a bright, medium-dark orange with warmer undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly dry and on the thinner side, but it managed to yield full pigmentation in a single layer but could have been more blendable. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

This is a much better quality palette than some of the others in the series. No wonder the brand gets the coral/orange shades right – they have had so much practise with all of their past iterations of the colour.
Because I have ND Sunrise and CP Yes, Please, I do believe I’m set when it comes to this shade family. It is a nice one, though. The one thing I would change is to make the 4th and 5th shades have far more contrast than they do.
