ColourPop Pick of the Bunch Just a Tint Duo Review & Swatches
Pick of the Bunch
ColourPop Pick of the Bunch Just a Tint Duo (Mini) ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a new, limited edition mini-sized duo of lipstick/lip balm hybrid kind of products. Both shades were decent, but they could have applied slightly better. One shade was more pigmented than marketed, but those who aren’t particular about coverage levels may not mind.

Coconut Juice
Coconut Juice is a muted, medium plum with moderate, warm undertones and a natural sheen. The pigmentation was semi-sheer, slightly buildable, which was more in line with how it was marketed. The product felt comfortable to apply and to wear as it was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and had enough balmy glide to not tug on my lips but not slide around too much during wear.
The issue I had was that the product was more prone to pulling into my lip lines, and it was a bit noticeable in person. It wore well for four hours and was hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.07 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is described as "the perfection sheer wash of colour in the comfiest, lightweight, super moisturizing formula." Here's the big takeaway... they are not that sheer; they're not a wash of color. They have medium to semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a few shades being more true medium in coverage; I just wouldn't say they're sheer nor just a wash. That medium to semi-opaque level of coverage still allows for some translucency, which gives the color a lighter look that's more like a stain.
The texture was creamy, thin, lightweight, and balm-like; I'd actually say it felt like a gel-like balm because it had the cushion-like slip of a lip balm but had the smoothing prowess of more gel-based formulas. The most impressive aspect of the formula was how little the colors sank into my lip lines and how forgiving they were with imperfections in lip texture. The wear time varied from two and a half to four hours on me, and the formula was lightly hydrating over time. They have a sweet, fruity scent (passionfruit per their website) but no discernible taste.

Incom-pear-able
Incom-pear-able is a muted, darker peach with moderate, warm orange undertones and a cream finish and moderate sheen. It had medium color payoff in a single stroke, which could be built up to semi-opaque coverage if desired–but it was more pigmented than marketed.
The consistency felt lightweight, thin, and balm-like, so it had enough slip and didn’t cling to my lips uncomfortably to be easy to wear. There was a smidgen of product that settled into my lip lines in the close-up photo but wasn’t enough to be visible in person. It lasted well for four hours and felt moisturizing over time.

Did these smell like coconut and pear as is described on the back? Or did they have a standard passionfruit scent? Seeing the scent descriptions piqued my curiosity!
The coconut one definitely smelled different – beachy to me – the pear one was more sweet and fruity, possibly less sweet than the original range, but harder for my nose to tell.
I think they are each supposed to smell like the fruit they are named. I love the original scent so much. I may pick up the apple cherry duo, though none of these are colors I love.
Beautiful, well put together duo! I really love this one and Fruit Basket quite a bit. Might get this.
I like the Coconut Juice shade the best, but I am not quite fond of scented lip products.
