ColourPop Daydream & Aquarius Lippie Stix Reviews & Swatches
Daydream
ColourPop Daydream Matte X Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had rich color payoff in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. The Matte X formula, and true with this shade, has a very velvety texture–less wet but just glides effortlessly over lips. There was slight separation of color along my deeper lip line, but I didn’t notice it from a normal viewing distance, just in the close-up photo. It wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.0352 oz. - $170.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full-coverage" with a "super matte" finish that has a "lightweight and velvety feel." I'd agree with all of those things--most shades were opaque while a few were more semi-opaque to mostly opaque. The texture has a silicone-heavy feel to it, so it has the velvety slip that used to be more typical of face primers than lip products, but this silicone-heavy type of formula has made its way into lip products to give a more matte finish with a smoother, more velvety consistency. The consistency feels a bit denser, though it remains lightweight, and usually delivers even coverage in a single stroke that doesn't tug. The formula wears anywhere from four to eight hours on me, and it is typically neither drying nor hydrating. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Aquarius
ColourPop Aquarius Lippie Stix ($6.00 for 0.0352 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy beige with warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that applied smoothly across my lips without tugging. The texture was more emollient with noticeable slip, which gave it a wetter feel, that melted easily on my lips during application. There was slight product that sank into my lip lines initially, and it seemed to adhere a bit less strongly along portions of my lips, though it was more noticeable in the close-ups than it was in person. It stayed on nicely for five hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.0352 oz. - $198.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full coverage" with a "long-wearing, ultra comfortable" feel. Because there are quite a few finishes in the range, some of the results depend more on the finish.
The matte finish tends to be thinner, drier, and firmer in the tube, and they can, occasionally, tug on my lips noticeably during application, but usually have good pigmentation and long wear; they range from non-drying to somewhat drying.
The Creme finish has a creamier, more emollient quality to it that has excellent pigmentation, comfortable wear, and good wear time (four to six hours); it tends to be a little hydrating but occasionally suffers from issues where product gathers in lip lines or they don't go on as evenly as they could. There's a soft, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Because I have a funny feeling that Aquarius is super close to MAC’s x Mary J. Blige French Silk, which I ordered blind around 20 minutes ago, I will be interested to see if my hunch is on point or not!
Dupes galore here for Daydream….I must REALLY love plum or something! LOL ?
Thanks for the reminder about French Silk; I ordered after I read your post. Hoping itโs a good one! I like Aquarius too and might purchase if I pull together a min order.
Daydream is a beautiful plum shade.
These are both so pretty. If only Daydream wasn’t a matte. I’m just not a matte girl.
