ColourPop Citrine You & Me Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Citrine You and Me
ColourPop Citrine You and Me Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a new, citrine-inspired color story that included two shimmers and two matte shades housed in a clear, plastic compact. All four shades were very nice to use; they were pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing with little to complain about! The only shade that had any “issues” was the deepest matte, which were very minor.

Us and Gem
Us and Gem is a bright, light-medium orange with strong, warm undertones and slightly lighter, more gold-hued shimmer throughout. It had opaque color coverage that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The texture was smooth, lightly emollient, and dense without being too thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Generator
Generator is a rich, medium-dark copper with strong, warm undertones and an intense, metallic finish. The eyeshadow was incredibly pigmented with a cream-like texture that was smooth, emollient but easy to pick up with a dry brush and had seamless adhesion as it looked “melted” on my skin. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

I love the two shimmer shades – especially Generator, which is a perfectly beautiful copper shade. I wish CP would put out a palette of just their shimmer shades like these, because they have done some really good ones.
With the exception of that stunning orange 1st shade, I know that I have PLENTY of dupes, especiallly the 2nd shade! Still may grab it for that big pan of citrus sunshine. Makes me remember living in Scottsdale for 6 years when all the fruit trees bloomed! I miss that so much, and being able to pick fresh oranges on the apt. property tree.
