It's supposed to have the "long-lasting powers of a lip stain" with the "shine of a gloss" paired with "medium to buildable coverage" that is "non-drying." The initial texture was almost watery, overly spreadable (and the applicator often picked up more product than necessary, so take care during application) but dried down to a more satiny shine that was less glossy and more like a satin lipstick with some translucency.
The initial shine wore off within two hours, so it looked like a true satin finish--this was true of doing nothing or just taking a drink of a glass as it wasn't transfer-resistant. The stain did not power through a meal and tended to leave a very strong ring around the edges of my lips as it wore away so quickly while eating. Left to its own devices, most shades wore around six hours with a faint stain left behind.
It had medium, buildable coverage but quickly built to more semi-opaque coverage without an official second layer (just going back and forth to get an even layer of product). A couple of shades were truer to medium and others were more semi-opaque from the first layer.
There didn't seem to be any added fragrance nor taste while worn.

Really like this formula but am still waaaaaaitinnnnnnng for a plum, a puce, violet, magenta, deep mauve or literally any of the cooler-toned colors they seem to constantly skip in favor of All Warm Tones All The Time. (Yes, I have “Berry Ripe” in addition to multiple tubes of TuttiFruity.)
Such pretty, cheerful shades! I’m leaning towards Caftan for a juicy looking red that stays put, yet isn’t drying.
Ooo, Caftan is so pretty! Also, I really miss the full face pics with the lipsticks! Something about seeing it a little further away was always helpful for me. Anyway, I imagine this way is easier, though, and I always hope you do what’s best for you! 🥰
Very pretty and vibrant shades – but CP releases quite a few of these colours and perhaps some cool toned ones would be that bit different from all the others in the marketplace.
